I think Pyro mixed me up with Kieveran. Yes, that IS assuming the cop is sane. Its complete WIFOM to think that the cop is NOT sane, however, and scummy to boot trying to get back into that discussion. Is there a reason to NOT do as I propose? How much does it hurt to list a few people as town? Takes all of 30 sec and only means anything AFTER the cop is known. It reduces the chance of the cop having to reveal himself to stop a false claim because if someone claims to be the cop and IS NOT NKd, that person is probably really scum. (No jailkeeper to protect anyone, remember? OF COURSE the cop will be NKd) Additionally, if someone falsely claims to be the cop, the cop can now investigate THAT person and verify his sanity! You sure missed all that when trying to restart WIFOM about the cops sanity, didn't you! Looks like my vote on you is pretty solid.

This is such a flawed method for providing "cover." If you mess up even one "report" scum know you're not real while the town has no idea.

Not really. How are they to know who is doing this randomly or otherwise? Just listing 1 to 3 names, it means nothing until after the cop is dead. Just randomly picking 2 names, the odds are that you will pick 2 townies. So if everyone names two names the scum would maybe narrow the field down to 6 or 7 from 9. Well worth it to get the cop results clearly on record. It would also put the scum on the spot should one of them decide to claim cop.

No, this is essentially hypocop which is a really bad strategy. It lets scum identify the cop very fast, for the reason inquisition said.

I misspelled your name in a coincidental way. It is entirely logical to assume that the cop isn't sane. Unless the cop got scum on bigmc and got innocent on someone else they should not claim and should not transmit their results. Transmitting their results will end up with them being nked sooner. Unless, of course, they are insane and say the scum are innocent.
