Surely a player's chance of being scum should be the more important factor in almost all cases... this kind of exaggeration is not helpful, IMO.

Surely a player's chance of being scum should be the more important factor in almost all cases... this kind of exaggeration is not helpful, IMO.

I would much rather lynch for something I'm sure is happening, sure is anti-town, and is sometimes connected to scum, than something I'm not sure is happening (scumtell), isn't inherently anti-town, but is always connected to scum if true. This goes double on D1.

As I didnt get any notification that we had gone to night (thats my fault, not tubbys but it would have been nice to have been told) suffice to say I dont have a result. I'm inclined to vote his direction since that is the lynch that should have happened yesterday. Also, Prozac's story about not submitting an investigation because he didn't know it was night is complete bullshit since he was definitely on the site during the (extended) night phase.

Also if my predecessor claimed cop as scum, he or I have a few options we can go down all of which to be useful to scum would involve claiming I have an innocent on scum/town or having a guilty on scum/town all of which would be more helpful that saying I got no result at all.

1) So you are suggesting that between January 5 and January 13 it never occured to you once that you were playing this game and should perhaps look at it?

2) The game is on your watched topics but in the 4 days the game was in night you didn't see the title of the thread, which indicated the game was in the night phase?

3) Do tell about all these other options you have. The way I see it, a scum claimed cop on day 1 has the following options: a) clear a town player as innocent, b) claim an innocent investigation on their only other scum buddy, thus risking their entire game on a gambit (mind you that a real cop could still be out there), c) claim a ridiculous no result because you forgot about the thread.

I like to think Im a better player than that, Im not a terrible player, Im just incredibly lazy/busy. Not that it makes much difference to you but if I were scum I would claim an innocent on a townie today as it would make the most sense for me to do unless I was feeling adventurous and go for one of the 2 option below. I dont know why I have been kept alive, beyond assuming that its highly likely my lynch will go through today and that in effect allows them a "free kill" and are able to off the cop in one swoop.

I have more options that you put there, I could claim a guilty on a townie, if Im going to go down anyway Id be better pushing someone in front of me... or even claim a guilty on my scumbuddy... both better options.

Also I already said I wasnt going to read the game until I was able to and when I look at my watched topics, I see Open 189 and then I look across at who was the last to post. I will probably see something like NIGHT 1 but not in a big huge title then N1 at the end. In fact I didnt even notice the D2 until you pointed it out to me.
