Right, Doc isn't told what faction he's protecting in any game (from my knowledge), whether they're townies, mafia, or 3rd Party. Doc isn't really good as far as finding information in this current game (though maybe it'll help in later days?) doc knows based on type of kill that player is not part of that mafia.
Also, if Fire scum hit Ice scum (or vice-versa) then there kill doesn't die.
