Is your neighbor's alignment guaranteed?
I've always been under the impression that masons = guaranteed, neighbors != guaranteed... although maybe my impressions are unsatisfactorily incorrect.

Old old old player... under a new account because I did some really stupid crap (nothing like purposefully destroying a game, just generally stupidity) in my last couple games... my only memorable game I was in with you, I was a tracker I believe... but that a was a long time ago, and there's a reason I made a new account...

Did I bus the hell out of you in a game once?

Oh, and masons USUALLY are confirmed alignment. Neighbors aren't. If it says mason or neighbor and doesn't specify "you do/don't know each other's alignment", it's a good idea to ask the Mod.

unvote
to start with.

After looking at the game, dana's call for me (or vf version 1.0) to claim on page TWO seems off, as does the backtracking afterward. Long days usually benefit town so it seems to me like it's trying to speed the day along unnecessarily. We still have a number of days left (and even more when that post was made. No need to speed things up unnecessarily.

However, the single most scummy thing I've seen so far is this:

Alright, that's an odd claim. Nobody should hammer yet.

Who is your Neighbor?
This just smells to me like a scum trying to draw out as much town information as possible. On Day 1, especially, we want to keep as much town information in the dark as possible. Getting his neighbor's identity will not help us much. For this, I'm going to

@viking: He realized that it wouldn't be a good idea around three minutes later. It's weird, I suppose, but it's pretty null to me.

I've read a couple of your games before (specifically /in-vitational 4) and you pushed like hell on a player early over a "slip" that you found, and you were town.

Yes, I know, LS, but it just seemed like someone backtracking after the fact. Sort of like, 'hey, let's get as much info as possible' then realizing a few minutes later, 'wait, I'm painting a big bullseye on myself, so I'm going to backtrack and hope I can pass it off.'

Lastsurvivor wrote:@Charter: Where did I say I don't like dragging days out? What I meant in post 158 was "I don't want to put us really close to the deadline, but I think you shouldn't be so eager to lynch."
It sounded like you don't like dragging days out when you said "Well of course I don't want to drag it out until the day before the deadline.".
Lastsurvivor wrote:@Charter: I never bothered to unvote.
So do you think he's scum still or what? Who's your top suspect?

Neighbor claim, don't care who his neighbor is, and not unvoting.

@kmd, fair enough, it seems like you did fairly similar in that game and he was scum, so I'll retract my FOS and consider your case. However, nervousness or not, no one is within a mile of how scummy NS is.

I don't think kyle's asking who the neighbor is is scummy. I do think it's pointless since the neighbors could both be town, one scum/one town, or both scum, and we have no way of knowing.

@Viking: So you think it's because of the backtracking? Why didn't you say that earlier?

@Charter: I'm going to be doing a reread tomorrow, but I don't exactly like dana on the top of my head, for reasons that people have stated before.

I'd rather not have you hammer him on the idea that "usually one neighbor is scum", but more on the grounds of his scumminess. I'm not sure about the context of this post/quote, but I'll think about it later and decide what it is after I've (re)read the thread.

Also a semi-v/la until Tuesday: I forgot I had a school seminar to attend to right now.

Oh, no, I agree that he's scummy. And that would be why I lynch him. I'm saying that the claim is far from being a reason to stop this lynch because there's a pretty good chance he's a scum neighbor.

No need to speed things up unnecessarily.
I don't think that my asking for a claim could be seen as an attempt to hurry things along. Why? Because even when NS claimed, it didn't speed things up at all. A whole page later and we haven't really gotten any closer to the end of the day. I think NS is lying. It's half-gut, half the idea that maybe he did it because of what I said:
Also agreed, although I don't think we'll glean much from a claim.

Do you always employ such shoddy reasoning? Just because someone has claimed now after a solid case has been put forward on him does not mean that you are cleared for asking for a claim on page 2. Trying to force a claim when we are just coming out of the RVS (and half of the votes on the player in question are random votes) =/= a claim when a player is at L-1 due to scummy actions, and it's silly of you to suggest such a thing.

No, do you? This has nothing to do with what I said. Absolutely nothing. I'm saying that my asking for a claim was not an attempt to hurry things along, not that it wasn't a dumb thing to do. And my using of the recent claim is just an example, not a justification. Do you understand what I'm saying now?

~5 days until deadline. It's looking like LS is NS's buddy with how he's been harping about using the time we have until deadline, but not doing any such thing. It looks like a big distraction away from NS.

I think someone needs to hammer before NS manages to slip away.

: "Meh. Nobody special."
charter, Nicodemus, danakillsu, jbernier, kyle99, and Haschel Cedricson: "Hey! Good idea!" "Let's do it!" "Grab him." "I'll tie him up!"
Nobody Special: "But, I'm very neighborly, and I love this town!"
Kmd4390: "You might be neighborly, but you sure are scummy."

Nobody Special passes away at the hands of the town. After burying his body, you go to his home to investigate further. On his floor is an enormous phone bill -- it's seems he's been making frequent calls during the past few weeks. You also find old copies of

Townie Neighbor
, was lynched on Day 1.

It is now Night 1. Please send any choices to me within 72 hours of this post. Deadline is Saturday at 4:45 AM UTC.
