@ Mole: Mostly because of this post.
However, there are two people that I'm now torn between: RichardGHP and Farside22. The reason being is that I can't decide whether Richard's question was actually scummy or not. If it was, then he clearly deserves a vote. However, I can easily see scum pouncing on a townie's question and making it out to be scummy, and I feel Farside might be doing just that.Horrordude0215 wrote:I just did a reread, and right now I have a slight FOS on Richard. While I know I was encouraging people to answer his question (and I'm sure I'll draw fire for this), I find his question rather scummy, in hindsight. It seems like he wants to find out what would happen if a cop WERE to investigate him and get a guilty read.
I need to think about this for a moment. In the meantime,Unvote: Horrordude0215.ALMOST ALWAYS BUSY 9-6 CST WEEKDAYS-

Like I said earlier, my head is not entirely in this game yet. If the past is any indication, I tend to get better as the days go by and there's fewer people posting. Are you saying that a Watcher in this game is unlikely? I've seen a normal game with a Tracker, a Supersaint, and a Scum Daytime Rolecop. A Watcher in a this game would not surprise me.Ythan wrote:http://www.mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php ... ormal_Game*A normal game does not have to have any other roles other than Mafia and Townies. If it includes other roles, they should mostly be considered standard, such as Cop, Doctor, Vigilante, Roleblocker, Mason, Traitor, Serial Killer.
*Other (new or otherwise) roles can be included. However, there should be no more than 1-2 of these, and they should be based around the usual game mechanics: Killing, Protecting, Investigating, Voting.ALMOST ALWAYS BUSY 9-6 CST WEEKDAYS-

I totally agree with Riddick re: WRP. I don't see a reason for a person experienced with Mafia to say "Why would I lie." From a newbie, I might see that kind of move as town, but WRP has demonstrated that he's not a newbie, that he does know how to play this game. This looks incredibly scummy.

WRP_Beater is a safer lynch than Richard anyway. If we lynch Richard and he's telling the truth about his alignment, we've lynched a town power-role on Day 1. If we lynch WRP_Beater and he's telling the truth (which I doubt at the moment), then we just lose a Vanilla Townie. I think we should save Richard for another day, let him get results if he's telling the truth.
I also haven't forgotten about Rikenslope, but seeing as he hasn't been around for awhile I want to put my vote somewhere more productive.

There are exceptions, but I'm not sure yet that Richard has reached the scumminess level required for me to want to lynch him in spite of the power role. I like a WRP lynch better right now anyway.Riddick wrote:
The problem with stating this is it makes it almost impossible to lynch scum day 1.SaintKerrigan wrote:If Rich is still scummy later on, we can always lynch him later. It's not as if we're clearing him of all suspicion for the entire game. But on Day 1, I'd much rather lynch someone who claimed VT than someone who claimed a power role.
I can see Ythan's point actually, and I don't think Richard has done a lot to redeem himself really. I'd like him to stop defending himself with stupid things (lol do u wanna lynch a pr) and do some scum-hunting.ALMOST ALWAYS BUSY 9-6 CST WEEKDAYS-

ISO is where you look at each player's posts by themselves. You do this by going down to the bottom of the page where there's a dropbar with player's names on it. Why are you assuming there's only three scum, Farside? Or do you only have three suspects?
@ Konowa: Right now, I think Ace is scum for active lurking and saying he wasn't caught up yet put a vote on Horrordude (the leading bandwagon). Richard is still high on my suspect list, but I'd rather not lynch himtoday. WRP_Beater's behavior reads scummish to me.ALMOST ALWAYS BUSY 9-6 CST WEEKDAYS-

Because I didn't think much of the tell itself. Crypto said it was a paraphrase, which to me reads "not exact copy" of the wincon. I was willing to assign some leniency to what Crypto's interpretation was.Farside22 wrote:SK why did you not buy into the scumslip theory? Unsight, are you doomed to suspect me in every game we play together? (That was a joke.)
I acknowledge that I haven't been doing a whole lot in this game. Hopefully as time goes on I can correct that.
- Bandwagon hopping
No argument here.
- Voting without explanation
People do that as town. Although as time goes by, when reasons exist and none are produced, then there's cause for concern.
- Defending crypto
From my point of view, he didn't look scummy, and I didn't consider Farside's tell to be damning. That's all I can really say.
- Defending horrordude in a half-arsed way
I didn't see any good reasons for all the Horrordude votes. I presented my case on Ace5993 (whose slot I still suspect), but I think you're putting a little too much responsibility on me if you think it was my responsibility to do everything I could to derail the Horror wagon. I'm not going to be that sure of someone's alignment on Day 1. Even if I were, it's still the assaulted person's responsibility to defend themselves, not mine.
- Posting very little content overall
No argument here. I'm attempting to make up for that.
- "Head not in game" post in very poor taste
Explain.
I did look at my win condition. It wasn't exactly the same, but then again isn't that what a paraphrase is?Farside22 wrote:@SK: Did you even look at your win condition to compare. That wasn't close to a paraphrase.ALMOST ALWAYS BUSY 9-6 CST WEEKDAYS-

For active lurking and placing a vote on a popular wagon that turned out to be a townie.Farside22 wrote:Then why did you vote for Ace?
So? It was a popular bandwagon, and Ace specifically made a post to put a vote on Horrordude. Knowing now that Horror was town makes the move even more scummy.Ythan wrote:An unconfirmed townie, at that time.

@ Rikenslope: I didn't notice that it was a simulpost, so I thought you'd read the claim and voted for Richard anyway. I believe I outlined earlier that I prefer to not lynch claimed power roles on Day 1. At the same time, I still felt Richard was scummy. But since he claimed a power role, I was disinclined to want to lynch him. I would've preferred to keep him around and let him get results for us to judge by. Of course, I wasn't expecting the mafia to kill him, or things would've been different.
As for your vote on him, I thought it was done in spite of seeing the power role claim, and that made me suspicious of you. Now that I know it was simul, my suspicion of you has dropped considerably.ALMOST ALWAYS BUSY 9-6 CST WEEKDAYS-
