A couple quick comments
1. Technically it needs to be "move x", not "vote x".
2. For the sake of everybody, we're including a move count each time we move or unmove.
3. I'd like to hear the other 5 players post, in case I've missed something big.I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.-

I see no reason why Haylen's vote shouldn't count. We know what she intended, and we're essentially the mods here.
Anyway, Qxd5+ is probably the best move here, though the tempo gain isn't that big a deal in comparision to creating a passed pawn, I think. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.-

Kxe2 is the obvious move. Let's explore some possibilities of continuing checks with the queen to get us in a better position. Qd8+ is obviously wrong, and I'm hesitant to trust any future lines from Haylen, but the idea remains. Qd6+ or Qa8+ or Qf5+ leave some options for us to maneuver.
Qf3+ followed by Qxe2 is also a decent choice. It leaves our king in a relatively safe spot that's not easy for black to check. On the other hand, Kxe2 brings our king out into the open but allows us to keep the queen closer to the action. On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

Can you explain why it instantly loses? The king can only move one space at a time...unless it's the bishop i've just noticed sat in the corner that can take her?
please note the reasons I fail at 90% of the chess games i've played is because I miss something when looking at the board...for some reason I only look 4 squares in diametre to check it's safe, move the piece and then have that piece taken and think wtf?Seriously. Read your role PM before playing.
I am sorry if you have to prod me, I have absolutely no concept of time.
My prefered pronoun set is "cie/cir/cirs[elf]" but they is more than acceptable.-

As I mentioned in my previous post, BxQ was what causes that move to lose. (In chess notation, that's short for Bishop takes Queen, and I can't imagine us winning down a rook and a bishop.)Haylen wrote:Can you explain why it instantly loses? To be fair, we'd still have the ability to lynch people and pretend this was an actual mafia game. But still, I'd like to win the chess game, since that's almost certainly easier.I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.-

Due to the numerous replacements and players of wildly differing skill levels, lynching would be a lottery for the most part. I have my suspicions but they're weak, at best. Town wins by winning the game thus that's what we should try to do. If we somehow blunder, then we have to resort to lynching. I suppose give how long the game has suffered, a draw would probably be the best result and it is one that may still happen. But I'd like to win.On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

Kxe2 is certainly a fine move, but I also like Qf3+, with Qxe2 next. Keep the king behind the pawn so we don't have to deal with rook checks. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. After 38. Qf3+ and 39. Qxe2, Re7 by black is really obnoxious because of the threat of Re3+ followed by abusing the discovered check if we move Kd2 in response. We're probably still winning after even if we deal with that, but it's fairly obnoxious.
After Kxe2, the king is in a much better situation. Rook checks aren't something we need to be to worried about, as much as the rook supported by the bishop.I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.
