I spent the night exploring the temple, attempting to find out why I was called here. The walls were covered in strange, curling script, surrounding pictograms of men and some other creatures I couldn't identify.

Whilst they stood like men, their faces were a twisting nightmare. They were often shown submerged in water, as though these deformed creatures were aquatic. I noted everything I could think of in my notebook.

I am positive that the others were not so scholarly. The night was punctuated with fast footfalls, screams, crashes and the cackling of madness.

I had no desire to return there. I gathered my things, and moved further into the temple. My best efforts to avoid my fellows were futile, however; they were at my destination.

My mind reeled. How many of my decisions were my own, and how many were guided by forces unknown?

It was a church of some sort. Row after row of pews swept back from the altar, a granite block covered in a sea-green cloth.

The ghost of

swirled out from behind the altar, bending the air around his transparent form.

"Glad to see you could all make it, ladies and gentlemen. My demise was most unfortunate, but this is only the beginning.

"One must shed their blood here today. The choice is yours."

He then began to chant, and music followed soon after as he disappeared from our sight.

Not all of us made it to the church, victims of cruel knives in the dark. I knew someone had to be sacrificed to satisfy the things that lurk below, but I would do anything to ensure that it wasn't me.

Note that all of the Murderers will be bloody and insane, as will the cultists, so everyone other than me that's bloody and insane is probably scum. Let's hear some investigation results.

Oh, and second thing to note is that we have at least three and possibly as many as five murderers. Elli's probably lying about who he stalked, and ani could also be lying. We need to lynch the claimed murderers before we can do anything.

This is a clear example of Nicodemus trying to influence the town list. Why would he do try to influence the town list to include a townie?

I think the dramonic wagon, though understandable, is a bit premature. No one is a murderer yet, but there are scum already. We should be trying to lynch scum, not a later potential 3rd party.

I think the point is that dram either rolled cult -or- he rolled investigator who will choose to become a murderer. Why are you not thinking about the scenario where dramonic rolled cultist?

This is extremely weak. Elvis's reasoning for continuing to push the dramonic wagon is nothing more than "dramonic might have drawn scum"? Sly had already said why he wasn't pursuing the dramonic wagon, but E_K tries to bully him onto it anyway with shoddy reasoning. Seriously, if the only reasoning we need to vote for people is that they "might have drawn scum", well, we might as well just go home now.

Ani is here because he's 'clear' of not being a cultist. I'll look closer at Sajin, VP, and iLord, but I know they're among the most rational posters, so he could just be going by who's accumulated the most townie-points. Putting more than one scum player in his ultra-town section is unlikely when he knew he was a candidate for the d1 lynch. SlySly is scum. Iecerint was probably scum. Magua is possible scum. Katy is likely scum. Wicked is likely scum. The 'neutral' reads are the most interesting, and most scum are probably in this category. The fact that Nico attacked EK and put her in 'neutral leaning scum' makes me think EK is town. Note that Adel is also in this category, and in fact he mentions 'scumslips' that he made, although reading Nic in iso I couldn't find any good examples he pointed out. Adel is, like I said, definitely town.

In Nik's post 15, he immediately backs off of EK once she backs off of Sly, which further convinces me that Sly is scum and EK is town.

Guys, Sly is scum. There's plenty of Nic defending Sly - I encourage anyone who's serious about winning this game to read Nic in iso - but the important bit is that Nik,

a confirmed scum player, tried to influence the list of 'town' players Elli was making for the Texas-Justice style massacre in order to put SlySly on the town list.

There is

no motive

for him to do that if Sly was town. Keep in mind that at this point Nic was not under serious suspicion, so WIFOM isn't even a motive. This link is damning.

This will not be a fun wagon - particularly for me, but likely not for anyone who votes him. SlySly has already demonstrated that he's more than willing to use ad hominem attacks in place of logic and 'ethical' arguments to obscure points and muddy the water. I believe that I was right earlier when I suspected Sly was intentionally trying to provoke me into replacing out - he must have reasoned that I replaced out of his game, he could make me replace out of this one. Don't expect anything worth attention to come out of SlySly today.

On CSL L+1'ing: The difference between L and his L+1 was 2 minutes. I would say that it's feasible that CSL simply didn't see Nico's self-hammer. Makes it more a null-tell more than anything.

On Elli: It does look like he took twitchy, however there is still an opportunity to take Psychopathy tomorrow as an insanity, just as long as he picks it before murdering again. The last part (for somewhat obvious reasons) goes for any person who murdered last night. I'm still undecided on whether claimed murderers should be allowed to live (murderers, not Murderers). However, I would suggest that anyone who murdered last night claim.

On CSL in general: I know I'm being a somewhat large hypocrite here, but CSL in ISO reveals, well, pretty much nothing. He has 11 posts, and 4-5 is "I'm rereading!". The others are a mixture of votes based on 'he's scummy' without much reasoning at all, and yeah. I don't like it.

1. Do you have your own reasons for thinking Sly is scum or are you just going off Phate's suspicions?
2. If you think he's 'strongly scum', why don't you vote him? I thought that's what you did when you thought someone was strong scum. =\

On Star: He was contributing slightly in the beginning of the game, but that just fell off afaics. I don't think he's scum personally, but his usefulness (or lack thereof) is noted.

On Sly/Nic connection: I need to ISO them to draw my own conclusions. This will be done tonight, probably.

Okay, quick glance through what I had on SlySly showed nothing really tangible. What you're saying there with Nico makes a lot of sense. It's true he wasn't under a lot of suspicion at that point, but I'll have to look back to check if there's inconsistencies between Elli's reads and the proposed lists that Nico could be referencing.

Bad news for Phate - Thread #671: The list Nico was probably referring to. SlySly's not on the list entirely. Still weird that he's so particular about SlySly's name (I doubt he would've counted to see there were only 24 names and SlySly's name was missing - more likely he was looking for SlySly's name and didn't find it), but it's now far from damning.

Nico #14+16: viking, semi, Drench, evilsnail, E_K. At least one is probably distancing on the way out - it feels remarkably unnatural for scum to list all townies on such a list.

That's really it actually. While we clear up some stuff last night, I'm going to try and see if there's any remaining targets from yesterday.

Oh, and whoever did the Iec Murder probably does not intend on going Murderer, so you should claim. The others are free to follow suit if they so wish .
