I find it mildly amusing that I'm being voted over this.

inHim's all over the place, throwing accusations at me and DP and voting elsewhere. Not sure if that makes him scummy, but what I do know is that it makes me confused.

I never actually accused you or DP of anything (besides the bandwagoning- which I don't hold much credit against
now
); after my unvote, I at first thought you were the correct play for the day. If I were going to accuse you of anything, I would have voted right then and there. However, I said I'd cast a "vote by tonight" which I hoped you all could have intuited to mean I was going to think it over/re-read the thread. In my last post, the word "Actually" means that I since changed my impression after my re-read/thinking over my choices.

I still like my vote. Especially now that Astronaut is expressing doubt about the scumminess of the person that he's voting for.

You do know that the reasoning you're now using against me is the exact same as I was using when saying I wasn't so sure about my vote?

I have never understood why showing uncertainty about your vote day 1 is scummy. I am a whole lot more suspiscious to those who seem dead certain on who they wish to see lynched. That's the play of shameless bandwagoners and scum.

I knew that's the way it'd be perceived, which is why I nearly made it a FOS rather than a vote. But it seems Tally and I are of different opinions here. She thinks I'm scummy because I'm not sure my vote was correct, I think she's scummy because she's so convinced that her is.

When I think of it, my vote isn't OMGUS at all. Because we all love Tally, don't we? ;)

The wagons are alluring. If they get close, don't doubt I'll pressure; but, I am still satisfied with my vote.

Care to share why?

The Astronaut bandwagon seems to caught have steam, but I'm not still sure that he is acting scummy. Windslicer put together a summary of Astro's events, and I think it will be helpful to us to view it again.
Windslicer wrote:Astronaut
*vote DP (random)
*unvoted DP (to end bandwagon)
- some thought it was suspicious he unvoted DP
*vote inHim (scummy post #25)
*unvote, vote: Seol (post#93 odd that he ended voting a newbie and IGMEOY a newbie)
Add to that now:

-- had a what Tally calls a Jeep tell about asking Johnny to claim a name before he votes
--unvotes Seol because it didn't do anything but drawn attention to himself; revotes inHim (his original bandwagon)
-- unvotes inHim, votes Tally; can't understand why showing uncertainity about day 1 votes is scummy
-- says he is voting Tally because she is so sure of her vote

Okay, so that's the summary (I think ... someone should correct me if I've misrepresented the facts). I need to take a look at this in more detail and see what I determine.

Astro - you're right. Being unsure of your vote isn't necessarily a sign of scumminess. I retract my comment, especially seeing as you've now moved the vote that you were unsure about.

I'm going to read over when I get a chance.

After your latest post,
unvote: halfpint

I was suspicious that you didn't place a vote, but I think your analysis of Astro is objective, and that you did for the better of the town. Thus, that's why I have now removed my vote.

I just don't know where to put it now... Johnny, any comments?

Wow. Did you just make up a crap reason to take your vote off halfpint?
As far as I can see there wasn't any analysis in her post.. she herself said it was just a summary (of events) that needed examining.

After re-reading, and this latest post, I'm going to go back to my first instinct.

Ah. My word choice gets me in trouble again (and I'm not even Dutch). You are correct in that it was not an analysis. Let me just say her post was objective and for the better of the town, and that I no longer find the reason that I was voting for her to hold merit.

Why ya stuck on Astro, P?

I think inHim put a vote on halfpint (who didnt have any votes) so that he didn't look like a bandwagoner. The when the pressure went off him, he thought he could afford to join one of the bandwagons, so looked for an excuse to unvote halfpint and revote someone like me. Have a look at his last few posts.

After thinking it over and re-reading my summary of Astro's events, I don't think that he is acting scummy. However, I don't think that inHim is acting scummy either. To me it seems that he is reading over posts and trying to determine who is acting scummy. Sometimes his votes go against the trend, sometimes they don't. That doesn't seem scummy to me.

I'm worried, though, that both WindSlicer and Johnny have seemed to disappear again. They both come forward when they are called on not posting, post a little bit, and then disappear when the heat is off. Let's see if either or both come forward now.

How about some pressure?

Everybody feels pressure in what they do, maybe mine is just a little different because there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to accomplish what I want to.

Tom Cruise, ranked 3rd on 2004's "Most Willing Autograph-Givers" List

Let's deadline this production for
11 p.m. EST Saturday, September 10
.

Deadline rules:
--At least half the necessary votes are necessary for a deadline lynch (in this case, 3)
--If there is a tie at deadline, the player who got there first will be going to that big multiplex in the sky
--If a player reaches six votes before deadline, day ends as usual

The thing about halfpint's post is... it's
too
objective. There's little by the way of opinions there, and it doesn't really tell us anything that we couldn't get by reading the thread ourselves. I'd almost say it's very well-disguised fluff.

As for today... I'm not really getting much by the way of scum vibes from anyone. Astro's still my favourite - but I don't like that WindSlicer and Johnny are keeping quiet, although I'm comfortable eliminating Johnny as a suspect for today. For that matter, we're not hearing much from Dragon Phoenix either - why do we punish the "newbies" for lurking but not DP?
