Pomegranate runs. The bloodstalkers are creeping up behind her. They are closing the distance. She can almost feel their fangs, their teeth, their rage.

A door swings open.

"Over here!" shouts Porochaz.

She slips through the entrance as Porochaz slams the door shut. He throws his weight against the dry wood. Shards of wood splatter on his face with every vicious spear thrust from behind it. He is overcome. His horrid screams are stomped to silence. Pom doesn't even dare spare a glance behind. She runs. She stumbles.

RichardGHP leaps at her and she narrowly skips him as CKD intercepts the monster mid air. He is devoured while his desperate accomplice Farside attempts to stall the pursuers, but she is immediately put down in a quarter second.

Pomegranate's steps become disordered as she realizes Seraphim and Anon are ahead with scythes and knives.

Her eyeballs twitch around in vain for an exit. Amished and ABR are hunched on balconies, grinning at their prey. The tears blur Pom's vision. She blinks for the last time as Bobberz wolfishly pulls her flesh apart. The others jump on her. Her throat is slashed by Ojanen. Her warm blood pours out into the soil as the shadows surround her...she finally sees it...and death has her eyes.

She's obvious scum! Who else hides in other people's houses??! The mob quickly disposes of Pomegranate, a young girl who played alot of hide and seek growing up. It doesn't take much searching to realise she was completely innocent, hardly in the habit of killing large farmers and stringing them up for the world to see. It's too dark for anymore action today, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow to avenge her. That is, assuming you're still alive to see it.

Last night was dark and scary. How the hell can you get a good night's sleep when you're worried someone might come into your home and kill you? Some people stay up all night, some use sleeping pills. For some it makes no difference because they're not seeing another day anyway. Two of your number have joined that group overnight: Anon and Porochaz. Anon didn't carry or own anything special, but Porochaz has a fair stash of drugs, and apparently some dubious kind of medical qualification. It seems like he was sedating people and putting them somewhere at night; but beyond that you'd rather not speculate. Neither of them were evil, so you pay them both your respects before getting back to the serious business of rooting out those who are.
