That's what I thought. Why is he arguing? Whether they're called masons or neighbors doesn't change anything with what I'm saying.Chronopie wrote:DGB and Jack are engaged in discussing semantics. Had it used on me in another <ongoing> game, useful tool, when used right, but subject to wifom (what isn't). Don't quite see it. Don't quite see/understand it. The reason I state that a fake Day-kill is wifom, is because, as per Day rule 4, Scum can day talk, so could have prepared before hand.
Going to iso fishy, multi-iso Jack/RC now.ShowHe'sbaaa-aaack

Rule 4. Scum have Day talk.zoraster wrote:Rules and Information
Day:
1.What is it? What do I do?This is the period during which everyone who's alive can post in this topic. Generally speaking, you want to lynch someone whose Win Condition wants you dead (for instance, Townies want to lynch Mafiosi and vice versa).
2.What is voting, and how do I do it?Players may vote for a person they want to see lynched by posting##Vote: PLAYERNAMEsomewhere in their posts. I won't accept it if it's not in bold and if it doesn’t have ## before it. Unvoting is not necessary to place a vote. To unvote type,##unvote
3.Do we have to lynch? You are allowed to vote to No Lynch (##Vote: No Lynch). This will take effect if no other majority can be formed from the players off the No Lynch wagon.
4.Can the Mafia talk to each other during the Day?Yes!
5.Players may ask for prods by typingProd/Replacement Policy:Prod: <name>. The mod reserves the right to prod at his initiation. Prods should be acted on promptly or will risk replacement.
6.Deadlines will be set roughly two weeks from the start of each day, adjusted slightly to make it easiest on the mod and players. If the deadline arrives before anyone is lynched, there will be a no lynch.Deadlines:
7.When does the Day end?The Day ends with a lynch, a no lynch, or the deadline elapses. Generally, someone is lynched if they receive a majority (50%+1) of player’s votes.
8.Where do I send my actions?To Zoraster.

I skim read Fishy's Iso, makes a few good points, few slightly scummy points, overall neutral assessment.ShowHe'sbaaa-aaack

Important Mod Announcement
It is with a heavy heart I quote the following:
This is crystal clear. If you PM someone about the game, you get mod killed. This isn't a rule I made up, as it's pretty much in everyone's rules, and it can generally be understood. Furthermore, this game is made up of extremely experienced players who know better.Rules wrote:1. Can I talk about this game elsewhere? While this game is ongoing, you are NOT allowed to discuss it in other topics/games (as this will likely get you modkilled in that game as well as this one). PMing other players about the game will result in a modkill. This game is in this topic, and in any QuickTopics the mods explicitly give you. That's it.
The violation in question is not a particularly egregious example of PMing about an ongoing game. It was essentially a comment on style in the game from one player to another one. But it is still a fundamental violation of the trust between players. The game cannot, in essence, exist if the illusion of a self-contained and mod controlled game are not kept. The fact I have recently run a game that in some ways flaunted this requirement in no way reduces the necessity of this rule.
It is not my desire to demonize this player. I suspect his heart was in the right place. It has been a difficult decision in whether to mod kill or to bend the rules and let him off with a warning. But given the rules are explicit, I have to mod kill. This is the first time since my very first game that I have had to do this. As consolation, I will not set him or her to "Neutral Survivor," he or she can still win with his or her team, though his mod death will not serve to help their cause.
This player waswho Town, and will be mod killed.Parama
Thus:Rules wrote:If a modkill occurs during the Day on a town member, I will immediately move the game to Night.
1. The game is now in Twilight.
2. No lynches may be made until Day 2.
3. You have a few hours before I lock the game for night to get in your night choices.
Parama may not post.
The following message was sent to anyone who might possibly need to send in an Action:
Due to an upcoming Mod kill, the game is now in twilight. All actions must be in before I go to night or there will be a no lynch or whatever the last action you selected was.
Thanks
Zoraster

On jack and RC.
No congruence between them what so ever. Unless I'm missing something.
RC does comment on Jacks play, makes some good points. OTOH Jack seems scummy. I also agree with RC's comment that lots of short posts = noise, which makes it harder to extract content.ShowHe'sbaaa-aaack

NO ONE POST.
There's a townie that is a dead night target, but the scum don't know it's a bad target.
Scum have, say, 2/3s of the town to target with night actions, so 1 invalid target gives them a pretty good shot of messing up and hitting whoever was modkilled.
Town have the entire town to target, so they have less chance of accidentally hitting a modkilled player with their actions and thereby doing nothing.
Plus I think town have fewer actions anyway. Townie town seems townie tbh.
Obviously I'm making an exception for myself so I can transmit this idea. Plus I'm a claimed VT with lots of suspicion so I have no chance of getting shot by scum, ever. "What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"-
