Actually I think Llama raises a good point.

Let's say it's likely that hp and dram will be lynched in succession.

Wasn't there an argument earlier that the earlier hp was lynched, the safer it would be due to the BP claim?
Would the risk of skipping Day 4 be safer than skipping Day 5?

I say this for discussion, I'm still willing to lynch both.

I believe that was my argument. (Oh the flashbacks of being ignored.)

The longer we wait to lynch a probscum BP claim, in the unlikely event it is true, the more damage it will deal to town and might end in our loss.

We gain nothing if we lynch dram and he flips town but we minimize future damage if we lynch hp and he flips town.

Conclusion:

hp is the lynch for the day. Pretty sure both will flip scum, but hp lynch is there for insurance.

Suppose (imagination may be involved here) that hp[leaves] flips Town.
That would be a

bad

thing, much worse than if we lynched dramonic and he flipped Town. Mislynching hp[leaves] allows scum to kill two of us and poison another two of us, putting us in 3-2 LyLo. We have enough confirmeds that it may not be that hard to box in the scum in that LyLo, but enough VIs that I wouldn't count on it going cleanly.

There's also the chance that if we hit scum - either one - the number of poisonings goes down by 1. I would

rather bank on that before lynching a BP, as it would lessen the effect of being wrong.
