Hi everyone!
I'm Unsight. I like small, concise posts that are easy to read and analyze. I despise large walls of text and massive quote splitting. My hobbies are hunting scum, catching scum, and lynching scum. I try to post at least once per IRL day in all my game threads and I make it a point to answer any questions directed at me I see.
I am also infinitely cooler and nicer than that Dr. Cyanide guy.
Fun stuff coming as I read the thread...Games are meant to be fun.-

Everyone check this out.
Watch what happened between the three posts below:

Yeah, maybe I should have asked why he is acting like that. :/

Second - after me - on the list is Empking that takes a chance and jumps on my wagon. So I follow Elias and votesVote: Empking
Still, I would like to see more people talking. What's yours opinion on me, Emp and Yabba?
Post 83: Oh right, those questions in 69 weren't serious at all.
Post 92: Oh look, a vote... on someone he wasn't seriously questioning.
All this adds up to Jag lying about his suspicions which can only be scummy. Post 92's "Yeah, I look scummy but let's talk about someone else..." is icing on the cake.

Also, Jag/SSBF's slot has cheerleaders:

Good post, haven't read it's entirety, but I'll respond to my part now.
As for the contradiction, I really just said that I wouldn't take it off in order to put some pressure on them to post. Once I realized that they weren't going to no matter how many votes they had on them, I voted someone else.
I want cheerleaders too.Thief Post subject: 169 wrote:Good posting by SSBF.No longer have as much of a problem with that slot.

Hey everyone. Still need to catch up on the game but that shouldn't take long at all.

In all seriousness, I am a proponent of day 1 massclaims in minis, but my success rate for making this happen is 0%. So I'll probably be pushing it tomorrow. You're not off the hook yet.I am a stand-up dude of genuine flyness.-

Okay, I'm read up. Here are my noteworthy opinions, in wall-of-text form. Tl;dr at the end.
-Mild town read on Empking for being the person to pull the game out of RVS (by making a super weak case against someone). IIRC Empking is an experienced enough player to know that the first person to make a case typically gets flak for it; his willingness to do so
-I'm just fine with the Jag/SSBF Wagon (in fact,Vote: SSBF - That's Lynch-Minus-Twoif I'm counting correctly). Jag's jumping around struck me like he was just trying to start bandwagons until one of them stuck. SSBF hasn't helped the slot much, IMHO. Most of his talk has been "It's notfairthat I'm getting lynched for Jag's actions!" I've just come from three straight games where I replaced in and was promptly lynched for my predecessor's actions, so he has my sympathies, but he's just wrong about this. Expecting the town to play suboptimally in the name of "fairness" is absurd - scummy, even, I would venture. Scum are more likely than town to cry foul upon getting wagonned, in my experience. This is compounded by SSBF's intro "but look at these guys, they're luuuuuuuurking ..." post.
-While I don't particularly have a town read on him, I don't buy the case against Yabba, and his attempts at defense have come across as earnest enough. Actually, I found myself agreeing with Yabba on nearly every salient point this game.
-Mild scum read on Chevre. Did anyone else notice how, when "accused" of activity, she defended it like it was a legit attack? Made me that, on some level, she's actively trying to shirk attention.
-Not entirely sure what to think of Red Star. He's done a fantastic job of contributing-without-contributing - for example, his now-famous list of questions on page 1, and his wall-of-text ISO of every player in the game that gave us absolutely nothing. Under normal circumstances I'd call this scummy, but I get the feeling he legitimately thought this sort of contribution would spark discussion. I'm chalking him up as neutral for now, but IGMEOY.
-Decently-sized scum read on Vibebox. I have two independent points here, both of which hinge partially on his admission of being experienced. The first is minor, and it has to do with his "Let's Contribute More!" cheerleading posts. They come across to me as forced and telling the town what they want to hear without, y'know, contributing more himself. The second is bigger, and it's that I've noticed significant buddying with Red Star. He doesn't start seriously attacking Jag until Jag goes after RS (and he revives his attack a bit when Jag later speaks ill of RS again). He also spends a decent amount of time entertaining RS's question string and meaningless ISO. One of the first things I thought upon reading RedStar was that he's your standard Logical Rampage type player, and if I were scum it would be very easy to get on his good side by entertaining his contributions and letting him play the role of Town Captain. I see VibeBox doing exactly that.
-I agree that Thief has probably been a bit careless with his reading habits, but I don't quite see how that makes him scummy. I suppose I could wind up supporting this wagon if someone connects those dots for me, but right now I'm not feeling it.
----------------------------------------------------------
Tl;dr
Empking is town for favoring scumhunting over self-preservation. Yabba and Thief wagons suck. Chevre is scum for shirking attention. Jag/SSBF is scum because Jag was jumpy and SSBF is pulling the "It's Not Fair" card. Vibebox is buddying with Red Star, but it's one-way buddying so Vibebox is scum but I'm not so sure about Red Star.
--------------------------------
To answer SSBF's question about massclaiming:
Massclaiming at LyLo is a sure sign that the town has done something very wrong. The sole disadvantage of massclaiming early is that scum can make more informed nightkills - but so what, scum are already making decently informed nightkills based on thread-events and claims of surviving wagonees. Advantages include the town gaining more informed lynches (more important, since it's the town's only path to victory), heightened coordination among power roles, and locking the scum into their claims early so they can't pull anything tricky later. I dunno, it always seemed fairly clear-cut to me.I am a stand-up dude of genuine flyness.-

@pie
Agree on the town read on Empking. I have a town read on Deer because he was asking questions I probably would have asked were I in the game at that point.
Also, Yabba is a mixed bag. That vote on Thief bugs me because it looks like he's doing the same thing he's voting Thief for ("derailing" a wagon) which isn't even scummy unless the wagon (Jag/SSBF) flips scum.
All the RS/Vibebox stuff is probably Day 2/post flip stuff to discuss.
You're a mixed bag as well. SSBF flips scum and Elias' interactions with Empking way back when will look a lot like chainsawing (as stupidly early and premature as it may be). Plus even with few posts, you should have examined me. Doing otherwise makes me think you're trying to buddy with me. I'm cool with having buddies but not of the scum variety.Games are meant to be fun.-

Just realized that I cut my Empking analysis off halfway through. Should read "...his willingness to do so makes him probable town" or something.
@Unsight:
Why is it beneficial to wait for Day 2 on RS/Vibebox? Depending on the flip(s), we may or may not have any info relevant to the two of them at all.
And, as previously mentioned to SSBF, I realize Elias was getting flak but there's nothing I can do about it besides post my own stuff and hope people don't find it so bad.I am a stand-up dude of genuine flyness.-

I see that Pie is town and he has shown me the error of my ways. If he thinks Yabba is as much of a fail wagon as I am (which I am) then I'll bow down to his experience.
Unvote;
Vote: SSBF
WARNING L-1
To be honest I took my vote off him because I saw he posted a few walls and figured that anyone that actually POSTS in this game was worth keeping around. I now see what Pie is talking about with the defensiveness though.Live life so completely that when death comes to you like a thief in the night, there will be nothing left for him to steal.-

I got screwed up. Thief showed up twice on the last votecount, with him inaccurately listed as voting Cyanide AND SSBF, and despite his accurate remarks that his last vote was on Cyanide, I passed over that.
I unvoted on the basis that the SSBF wagon had lost steam, and that the Thief one would be the one making it to the L-1 stage, which obviously is incorrect. I thought Thief's unvote had subtracted a vote from the SSBF wagon (it already had) and with Chevre's vote on Thief, it would be driven to the lynch. In other words, I was satisfied with my top 2 and wanted the Day to end.
It's not hypocritical derailing, I claim it derailed, THEN I hopped off.
Anyway... c'mon, big money, big money! *claps*

I read through the thread three times and read through everyone's iso once...
and unless I'm very mistaken, SSBF is only at L-2.
I'll post more frequent (as Unsight suggested, daily) votecounts to try and prevent people from getting confused.
Also, prods have been sent. (I'm unwilling to replace anybody I haven't prodded yet.)
