He indicated which post he meant, but obviously he had no intention of going back and quoting it... not sure how that's scummy of me to quote it for him. So far all of these "scum tells" I've seen are just paranoia over the slightest things.ReaperCharlie wrote:@MS: Quoting it is fine.

But since you've all been wrong about me so far, I figure I have some right to say that, ne?
Plus I was in the final 3 in both games I lost (the town loss was my partner's early voting mistake, but the scum loss was mine).-

Kagelord obviously gets a scum read from me based on gut and gut alone.
If I had to waste time explaining ever gut read I ever got, they would cease to be 'gut' reads and become logical conclusions. Something that pretty much takes away from the fact that they're just 'gut' reads.
The only things that have come up really, have been discussions on hydras and how they 'need' to tell us who's behind them, interested parties clamoring already for 'policy' lynching, ect ect ect. Not really anything you....well me anyways, can get much of a read on. I mean...D1 people...page 8, not much going on, ect ect ect. (and don't tell me there is or I'll hunt chu o_0) So I have to rely on my gut, and what its telling me, and his posts are screaming 'Scum here!" Is my gut right? Hardly. Don't know much yet. But I have found a far better canidate for scum, and Snow_Bunny is a he/her.
Come out! Come out where ever you are! *echo echo*....PleaseW/L/O

Scummy behavior is still scummy. You can do two things with meta. 1.) Use it to defend somebody i.e; When this player X acts like this they've been town. 2.) To make a case on somebody i.e; when player X has done this he's been scum.Benmage wrote:Sorrow,I don't think meta alone is fantastic, but I'd at least like the option to do so... what actually bothered me and warranted my vote was that I too could not think of a reason as to why not..and difficult behavior for simple requests is something I want to avoid altogether as a whole.
Here's an all too often example of where my peeve comes in:
Someone votes player A, saying something like buddied, scumslip, agrees with others statements, or some piggybacking nonsense...Then I come in and as for facts...I usually get resistance followed by responses like its in isos, its all there, go read it your self..some more nonsense...when I finally pull enough strings they usually come to the realization that they have no clue why they are voting...sometimes an epiphany occurs and the player becomes a better player learning how to formulate a case...or I catch some piggybacking scum... Either way I hate doing it, its a waste of time and if I can avoid a precedent of being obstinate forming I will do so.
As town we generally don't have a lot at our disposal. Information is our greatest tool and we'll need as much as possible.Resistance in this arena is scummy.
And Reaper can be Reaper now...but you'll have to be robo or copter...cause you as RC will confuse me.
Meta helps the town just as much as mafia. To me, if we don't have meta for a certian player its no big deal.Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

For me it is a big deal. I like to know who I'm dealing with, their experience level, if I've personally played with them before. Something to refer to is nice. Emphasis added. The bolding highlights the places where you’ve chosen to insult LMP, and by corralary myself. Not Pro-Town at all.KageLord wrote:Wow...I thought people had more common sense than this. By "I'm more interested", I meant that I am more interested in that than in finding out who GH is. Thanks for the misrep though.
Besides, you might need some help with grammar. The words "more interested" imply that it is more interesting than something else, but not necessarily the most interesting. If I had been saying I care more about that than scumhunting, I would have said, "I'm most interested to..."
The context by which it it assumed that you are more interested in flavour discussion than scum-hunting is inferred by the fact you have done ZERO scum-hunting and plenty of flavour related posting so far.
This is exactly why the whole discussion revolving around roles that might or might not be Town isKagelord wrote:It is still a fair point though that farside could have switched a couple important alignments while leaving some more minor characters alone, so you are right there.at this pointworthless and not Pro-Town.

Also what do you think of Kagelord's fence-sitting regarding a Chrono policy lynch that I previously highlighted?

Not really. I think it was scummy of LMP to do that, but I don't think it necessarily means anything about Starbuck. She was just late on the draw, and it's LMP that pinged my scumdar with that.MagnaofIllusion wrote:

So I pinged your scumdar, but you were just being sarcastic? Which is it? Was I scummy or not? You claimed it was sarcasm, and I made a post saying that sarcasm and the interwebz do not mix. I didn't say that I believed your explanation. The fact that Starbuck saw what I did and commented on it only reaffirmed my read. Your attempt to twist my words as some sort of scum slip, and then backtracking when called out on it is scummy. Your attempt to paint SB and me as scum for pointing it out even doubly so.ReaperCharlie wrote:Not really. Then why didn’t you outright call LMP scummy? Using “Hmmmm” as a proxy gives you an out to say you didn’t think he was should you need to at a later day (or it did until this conversation, anyway). Leaving yourself ‘breathing room’is not Pro-Town.Reaper wrote:Not really. I think it was scummy of LMP to do that, but I don't think it necessarily means anything about Starbuck. First of all, I said nothing aboutLynchMePls wrote:Your attempt to paintSB and meas scum for pointing it out even doubly so.SBbeing scummy for pointing it out. You (and Magna) seem to be latching onto that I said youand SBwere scummy together, which I didn't. In fact, I never even mentioned her by name.
Secondly, your latching onto Magna's questioning and bringing it to the point of hunting me is very interesting. You even parroted almost word-for-word the exact same phrase as him.MagnaofIllusion wrote:This looks like an subtle attempt to paint LynchMe and Starbuck as scummy
Noted.LynchMePls wrote:Your attempt to paint SB and me as scum
Ok, I can see that. Not really on purpose, and you're reading too much into it, but if you think non-committal things like that are of importance, let me ask you this:MagnaofIllusion wrote:

What do you think of LMP leavinghimself'breathing room' by not following up his suspicion of my joke (because, after all, sarcasm and the internet aren't friends, or something), and then once Starbuck thought the same thing about my comment, LMP pretended that it's valid again all of a sudden? Is that not the very definition of what you just described?
