I may be swayed toward the oopid scum camp, but I really have to think about it. The only reason I backed off of him for most of the game was because I really thought he was the JKer. Now we can see that's not the case, it's worth revisiting Oopid as scum theory.

@myk - I've played with emp several times. I personally think his town play shows at least mild signs of helpfulness, which isn't present here. However, I'm not sure if he'd tunnel so dumbly on me as scum when I'm not likely to get lynched, so perhaps I'm wrong.

Paltry, you're probably right about NLing today I suppose. If we are going that route, then we should just stop discussion to limit the information to the scum.

I have no idea why you would ever wait with posting a defense. You say you have already typed it, but I very much doubt that. Nobody would go this far to wait with a defense on the completely false idea that this would somehow help scum. Defenses have never helped scum. Or they have to fake one and fail, or a townie does its word to survive.

Townies want to defend themselves: they know they have good intentions. You don't.

For me, you don't even have to make the effort of faking a defense now, I don't care if we lynch you today or tomorrow.

Night didn't last 72 hours, so it can't be inactive. Stupid it is. (kyle, this is why you don't see shortened nights often. It might give information, esspecially in cases where people are known to be inactive. I would change this rule in your next game.)

You would love to call yourself stupid as scum when you were actually clever. I think you wouldn't call yourself stupid in a normal situation, unless you are forced to (which you aren't here). The main reason for town VP posting this would be to see a reaction, but I didn't know you as such kind of a player. You are not someone who makes the action, you are more an observer.
Empking is a straightforward player, but not someone who leads scum at night. If he were alone he would have killed. If he is scum, we are looking for a partner that overruled him.
Battle mage isn't stupid, but that is all I know.

Pretty sure I'm the only one who's really been keeping this game alive for a majority of it. Frankly, I'd rather have a draw that mislynch today and give scum a stupid win over the town being lazy all game. It's undeserving. Why do you think it's a good idea to lynch today as opposed to yesterday? Absolutely nothing has changed and yet you seem to be quiet interested in getting something going as fast as possible. Doesn't really make much sense from a town perspective.

Additionally, your assessment of my play as an "observer" is pretty inaccurate to say the least. Most town games I'm a leader type that can rally troops and typically I get killed for it. So, you know, just wanted to point out that saying things doesn't make them true.

I have a few problems with all this, which you may not have noticed.

Observation 1: I have a good feeling about Oop being scum
Observation 2: he isn't here, and because of you he already got away from defending. I see no reason not to post a defense and I'm quite annoyed you are arguing against me here. I am not going to vote to end this day before I have that defense.

Other stuff:

about your playstyle: you are not the person to bait scum. I didn't say you couldn't lead, but your main way of finding scum is not posting something to let them react on, but you rather read everybody's post in the hope of finding scum (you observe rather then "hunt" which is more active)

The reason I posted that bit is that many people have a problem with possibly calling someone stupid. If you were town, you are either having no problems with that (small chance), or you are doing it for a reason. (Insult scum into doing something stupid, I guess), or you are scum and then it is of course a big joke.

I don't see how oopid has gotten away from anything. MOST people are not here, that's the problem. I have stated my opinion on that day, but what I say is certainly not law. If the majority of people want to lynch today, that's their choice to make. I certainly disagree with that approach, but I don't think that somehow makes me culpable for whether or not oopid replies to you.

re: calling people stupid - it's not so much I'm calling the people stupid as I'm saying that the play was stupid. There's certainly a difference. Even intelligent people make mistakes, but regardless of that I think it was a really dumb play to make. I wasn't necessarily goading for a reaction (though I suppose that is one side effect) as I was simply stating my opinion on it.

Then his first post day 2 is "interesting night..." I have already stated I think this is scum adjusting to the fact that the kill didn't go through and waiting for the rest to think of something new before he sticks his head out.

That's a bit hard to say at the moment. As far as Empking partners go, Mykonian is flashing hard as a possibility, but I'm still trying to decide whether his shitty case on me is in fact a badly-constructed scum-driven counterwagon to the imminent Empking lynch (plus an Empking/mykonian scumteam would fit well regarding my thoughts on the lack of a N1 NK) or just plain ol' asininity (the one game I read with him in it, Open 205, had him playing just as abysmally scummy and yet he was town). Muthaa looks bad given the JK WIFOM and his behavior overall displeases me, but I'm beginning to wonder if he's not being set up for a fall. If Empking is not scum, however, VP Baltar is giving me bad vibes.

This is one of the reasons I need to reread.
