Yes, otherwise I would have changed my vote to you. DH has also overreacted imo, but he has other things against him too.

Overdefensiveness (totally a word, yo) in and of itself isn't really scummy, though. Thus the FOS, not a vote. It takes overdefensiveness + other suspicious things (backtracking, diverting attention, wildly pointing fingers at other people) to paint the portrait of a truly scummy person, imo.

RE: Jack -- I don't believe in policy lynching. He's a neutral in my book because while I've seen him do this same damn thing as town, it doesn't diminish the fact that active lurking can be a good scum strategy and there is pretty much no town motivation for it. I'd rather lynch someone who is actively scummy rather than lurkishly scummy, though, because it means more connections to other people when they flip. If DH or someone equally active were to get lynched right this moment and flip scum, that would give us a hell of a lot more information than it would if Jack were lynched right now. And on day one especially, we

Pie has trailblazed several cases here and there, and while none of them have taken off spectacularly or anything, it shows that he's putting in more effort to scumhunt than you are. More importantly, he is taking stances on players without having to be pushed to take stances on players, and that is definitely pro-town. Scum would want to keep their options open. Verdict is probtown for now.

DH: I think he's neutral. I agree with esuriospiritus that he seems to be trying a little too hard to scumhunt, but I don't know how sure of a scumtell that is right now. it is day 1 after all.

TL: He's my scummiest read yet. I agree with everyone that he's overreacting. I also like how Pie comes closer to using meta in his case than DH does and he doesn't even mention it. FoS: TheLonging.

Pie: I don't like the wagon on him right now and have a bad feeling about some of the people on it. Same as DH in that he tries to scumhunt almost too hard, but not to as much of an extent.

Jack: neutral. No way to tell at this point. lol'ed at 169.

Re: your DH read, I never said he is trying "too hard" to scumhunt. My case on him as it stands now is that he overreacted + flailed when pressure was put on him + backtracking. Which is greater than the case on TL as I see it, which is just that he overreacted from what I see.

Would you mind being more specific as to how Pie comes closer to using meta?

Mostly DH for reasons I said before. I feel like most of your wagoning is for pressure, which is good (of course I could be wrong). I can't get a clear enough read on Fugitive or Jack's votes for very similar and obvious reasons. It's more of something I'm noting for later.

@mVk: I dislike people who act like they have to get 1 joke vote in. It's anti-town.

Way to bring it up late, and screw up my precious capitalization in the process. Also, honestly, I've never seen it mentioned anywhere else as anti-town. I think I wound up consistently making day one joke votes because the first few games I ever player were full of them, so it feels normal.

Now then, I'm starting to grow a bit suspicious of DH. I find it absolutely bizarre that anyone would try to claim that they intentionally fell for a bandwagon. I know I've brought this up before, but it's really bothering me more that I thought it would.

That said though, I'm keeping my vote on TL for now. The massive role/setup speculation here and here is far beyond what anyone should be doing this early.

Let me address this now: DemonHybrid has never played a game with me. I have modded one game that he was in, however.

Now then, some general thoughts:
Pie bandwagon doesn't seem prudent at this juncture. The reasoning for it just seems thrown together.
"I wouldn't mind a policy lynch on X because of Y."

Jack's playstyle is frustratingly anti-town from what I'm seeing. I'm not going to go as far as to call it active lurking (as at least one of you did), it seems that he has a reason for the way he's posting, but I honestly don't know what it is. >_>

So yeah, overall:
Jack's play is frustrating, and looks anti-town, but I feel that it could be coming from a townie.
DH's claim to have intentionally fell for the bandwagon is silly.

I never wanted a quick lynch on Jack. My main sole focus was always on DH, then after we lynch him, we could spend D2 arguing about how long we'd take to lynch Jack. He's improved enough that I don't WANT to lynch him.

Day 1 is always bad for me. I usually cannot get a solid read on anyone because most cases are based on 1 thing that someone did. Therefore, I'm never confident in my reads and use a lot of FoS's instead of votes day 1 and overall don't come off as confident.

On the Pie wagon: I had remembered more people making a big deal out of little things and calling him scum. I had forgotten how Jack and Fugi had voted and how you seemed to have voted for pressure.

Just look at how obvious it is for a first post. I mean...really? To use a tad bit of meta here; some of you have seen me play in games before and you know that I'm not -this- much of a VI (This is my 4th entered game). My vote for him was more for RVS than anything else, but I decided to run with it after seeing twomz post and see who would capitalize on someone who was really that stupid and obviously newtown to frame them. And these posts about wanting him to talk:

I was calling attention to my vote. Friend took the bait, which attracted other scum (thankfully, since Friend is town to me after his defense, I was starting to get worried). Friend was my original target after seeing him bite.

That's fine, whatever makes him speak more about his post. I'm still not exactly sure if it's pure scummy or not, but regardless, it's just a weird post, no matter how much experience he has. This is the first instance of non-RVS posting in this game, so of course I'm going to question it.

I honestly don't expect a lynch of him, however. Too much experience, too noobish of a mistake.

This is me trying to attract more votes, but figured that I milked out everyone as much as possible, so after waiting a bit more (the post where I said I think I know who to vote for), I went for Friend to get more reactions.

It's pretty obvious both ways, guys (Jack's post and my response to them). I mean, I think I'm some sort of VI, but not that badly =P
