Paltry and Sotty are both sexy and have equally sexy points on Enigma.

I could say the same about you, actually. You're reasons so far have been "I like this wagon more than AGar," and "gut vote."

I think metas are relevant, but when you bring up your own meta is diminishes its worth. This is mostly why I voted SV.

what is your point? At least I am providing a stance, and some basic reasonings, I have to ask to get it out of you....can you please explain to me why he is scummy for the way he brought up his meta? Feel free to use his quotes.

The way I worded that was slightly off, but this is the quote that irks me.
I asked you why he was scummy, you give me a post where he is being an ass (which I think is probably how he rolls)...so how is what you quoted, scummy?

"Please please please please please please please please" says a mechancial voice over and over.

Distracted, the team splits up to locate the source of the annoying sound. It's the kind of annoying like when you're on a cross-country road trip in mom's station wagon, and there's some damn toy in the back that keeps getting turned on over and over and playing "It's a Small World" until YOU JUST WNAT TO !@#$%!@%

Anyway, someone eventually finds the severed head of a flight attendent. "Please please please put your seats to an upright position" she says in a clipped mechanical voice. There's wires dangling from the bottom, they're robots? This explains everything.

This is not a newbie game; therefore, I expect him to know better than to think he should be ignoring questions most of the time. Willfully ignoring a player is scummy.
I'm having trouble with this. Who, exactly, do you think is avoiding questions?

This is fallacious. That everybody disagrees with you does not mean that you are wrong. If it means anything more than that, it means you have to build your case to get people to rally for your cause.

FoS: Beefster
I'm not really seeing how it is fallacious. I never said he was wrong, I just said that his statement wasn't viable. Viable =/= Plausible. Viable in this case means it can legally be used. Plausible just means that it
could
be true. "Scum skims" is plausible, but not viable- as no other witnesses are backing it up. Much like how the flying spaghetti monster is plausible but not viable.

I was explaining out why "I have seen it" isn't a good reason. I suppose I should have made that fact more clear.
I conflated viable and plausible. Thanks for straightening me out.

NOPE. In a different situation maybe, but not wanting to answer someone's generic questions because they already answered the same person's generic questions elsewhere is not scum motivation.
Generic questions, I see your case, but I still beg to differ with your wording "maybe". There are very few instances where ignoring questions is just fine, and the "maybe" wording implies the odds of ignorance of questions being scummy being somewhere in the middle of the road. I did not join this game to argue over trivial semantics, so I may have to agree to disagree here.

I wouldn't say I'm confident Shattered is town, I'm just not confident he's scum either. I'm seeing it more as a difference in playstyle / frustration with early pressure. This wishy-washy read of mine pales in comparison to someone who I believe has acted scummy.

You know, for the purpose of this question I even ISO'd him.

strike one: Lot's of talking about theory, absolutely no talking about anyone at least potentially scummy, I didn't notice that before, awfully scummy.

strike two: hesitance to vote. One of my favorite personal tells, usually works like gold for some reason.

That's easily 2x as much as I had on both Beefster and SV.

Although happy with an Enigma vote, I'm looking for scumhunting from your slot as well. If you think SV is scum your vote should be there. I'm through with pressure votes and now I'm voting ye who I find most likely to be scum. You not doing the same is scummy in my eyes.

@CKD: Is this a policy lynch of Chronopie, or is there some underlying meta of lurking-Chrono = scum-Chrono?

Oh well, no point arguing about this particular subject.

Anyways, I iso'd SV, Enigma, and Zajnet.

I still like my vote on Zajnet over the other two.

SV seems to be actually making an attempt at scumhunting, and although Enigma is quiet, his posts seem to be trying to prompt discussion. Also, I can see the town motivation for withholding a vote, it doesn't seem to me like a scum only tell. Zajnet has a bunch of noise, and the content he does give is short little blurbs like "the quote irks me" or "gut read + the unvote thing." (Those aren't verbatim.)

Asking for a prod is effortless, and gets him here and talking sooner rather than later. I'm not going to suspect someone based on "they aren't here playing the game". If you can give me one good reason not to ask for a prod of a semi-absent player in comparison to waiting until the next day phase I'm all ears.

Constant theory talk, which led me to Enigma, is why I suspect him. Theory talk is easy to do as scum as you can be truthful without revealing ANYTHING. They encourage talk meant for MD and doesn't aid in scumhunting, it hinders it. I don't mind a little when defending yourself / explaining yourself, but he has done nothing but it. Do you know Enigma's suspicions? I currently have vague guesses but really no firm idea.

@AGar, how long is it reasonable to let people go in a game without contributing?

@Paltrey Excuse, I don't love Enigma's play by any stretch. Not moving his vote since his first post despite apparently finding things he dislikes at least enough to say that he dislikes them isn't great. He is mostly focused on theory which isn't what town should be doing. The part about StrangerCoug's knowing what the claim would be is a bit off. Right now I wouldn't mind if he got lynched at all. I've still got more from him than I do from tumescence though.

@tumescence, we're still waiting for that read and post. 4 words over 8 pages fails to impress me.

@Zajnet, so having a reason other than joking for doing something you know doesn't make sense or is otherwise unnecessary is scummy? I don't think I buy that.

UNVOTE: KageLord
VOTE: tumescence

I'd be willing to lynch any of the following if it came down to it right now without feeling the least bit bad: Chronopie, Enigma, silverbullet999, tumescence, Zajnet. That list could be longer without much trouble at all but it's already more players than there are scum.

Oh. And AGar, Confid's recent reaction to Enigma has gotten me thinking you may be right. I still feel Enigma is more likely scum though.
