I think metas are relevant, but when you bring up your own meta is diminishes its worth. This is mostly why I voted SV.

So I think these arguments that SV is town because the wagon moved fast are pretty silly given that there are only 4 scum in the game, so with 7-8 players on his wagon the majority of those are almost certainly town, BUT I still like SC for scum more than SV, silverbullet is reading town to me right now and SC's vote on him looks more like an excuse to have a serious vote down than reasoning behind silver being scum.

This is not a newbie game; therefore, I expect him to know better than to think he should be ignoring questions most of the time. Willfully ignoring a player is scummy.

Mafia is a game of evidence. You seem to be the only witness of "scum skim," therefore it is not a viable point. In courts and whatnot, you typically need at least 2 witnesses for any evidence to count.

This is fallacious. That everybody disagrees with you does not mean that you are wrong. If it means anything more than that, it means you have to build your case to get people to rally for your cause.

I'm not really seeing how it is fallacious. I never said he was wrong, I just said that his statement wasn't viable. Viable =/= Plausible. Viable in this case means it can legally be used. Plausible just means that it

be true. "Scum skims" is plausible, but not viable- as no other witnesses are backing it up. Much like how the flying spaghetti monster is plausible but not viable.

NOPE. In a different situation maybe, but not wanting to answer someone's generic questions because they already answered the same person's generic questions elsewhere is not scum motivation.

Generic questions, I see your case, but I still beg to differ with your wording "maybe". There are very few instances where ignoring questions is just fine, and the "maybe" wording implies the odds of ignorance of questions being scummy being somewhere in the middle of the road. I did not join this game to argue over trivial semantics, so I may have to agree to disagree here.

I'm liking Paltry's 163 post on Enigma. It is a newbie scum tell but can be applied here. I will have to go back and read and see the context. Paltry, are you pushing on Enigma because you think Shattered is town?

I wouldn't say I'm confident Shattered is town, I'm just not confident he's scum either. I'm seeing it more as a difference in playstyle / frustration with early pressure. This wishy-washy read of mine pales in comparison to someone who I believe has acted scummy.

strike one: Lot's of talking about theory, absolutely no talking about anyone at least potentially scummy, I didn't notice that before, awfully scummy.

Although happy with an Enigma vote, I'm looking for scumhunting from your slot as well. If you think SV is scum your vote should be there. I'm through with pressure votes and now I'm voting ye who I find most likely to be scum. You not doing the same is scummy in my eyes.

SV seems to be actually making an attempt at scumhunting, and although Enigma is quiet, his posts seem to be trying to prompt discussion. Also, I can see the town motivation for withholding a vote, it doesn't seem to me like a scum only tell. Zajnet has a bunch of noise, and the content he does give is short little blurbs like "the quote irks me" or "gut read + the unvote thing." (Those aren't verbatim.)

Asking for a prod is effortless, and gets him here and talking sooner rather than later. I'm not going to suspect someone based on "they aren't here playing the game". If you can give me one good reason not to ask for a prod of a semi-absent player in comparison to waiting until the next day phase I'm all ears.

@Paltrey Excuse, I don't love Enigma's play by any stretch. Not moving his vote since his first post despite apparently finding things he dislikes at least enough to say that he dislikes them isn't great. He is mostly focused on theory which isn't what town should be doing. The part about StrangerCoug's knowing what the claim would be is a bit off. Right now I wouldn't mind if he got lynched at all. I've still got more from him than I do from tumescence though.

@tumescence, we're still waiting for that read and post. 4 words over 8 pages fails to impress me.

@Zajnet, so having a reason other than joking for doing something you know doesn't make sense or is otherwise unnecessary is scummy? I don't think I buy that.
