Do either of you have any basis which makes the scenario you suspect "likely"?

Eh, no, not empirically. 'Eminently quite possible' maybe . . . Siblings traditionally had the strong possibility that one of the two was scum, though in this case it might be more likely to be Kaiba than Mokuba. Then again if either's Mafia it's more likely to be Kaiba, flavorwise, and I'm not even sure about that one, because at this point we have no reason to suspect we have a Serial Killer, and I'm not sure there's enough room for Kaiba on a three-man Mafia team so he was maybe just stuck in as s Town role. If there
are
two sets of siblings in a mini Theme I'd strongly suspect one Mafia member within the four of them at least. There may not be, the Mokuba claim in that case being a lie.

My role PM also only lists my first name. But I wasn't aware Tea even had a last name to begin with.
Kaiba is a big name in the series, and it would make sense that his role PM has both the first and last names in it.

I doubt Pie is a traitor, if he were, that would be HILARIOUS to me, and also pretty terrible.
I believe Pie- but I think that its very likely that Seto Kaiba is scum.

It would be easy not to get a Seto claim especially if this is the case, because that would just cause the town to lynch Pie.

Anyway since my theory that Pie is scum is out the window...

that leaves either Plum/Charter or Plum/MaxMouse. Hrm.

In fact I think many characters dont have last names. Tristian? Bakura? The name thing being a defining factor seems senseless.

Yes, Brandi, I think we all agree that having his name listed as Mokuba Kaiba as opposed to just Mokuba indicates next to nothing.

We have some people who claim to have first names only listed and some who have first names and last names listed. There seems to be little in the way of a defining factor except maybe convenience/what thew character is called most often. Given that Seto Kaiba is often just Kaiba, and that his brother's surname is also Kaiba it's quite plausible that he'd be listed as Mokuba Kaiba. Either in a safeclaim bit in a scum Role PM or in a Townie's Role PM. I severely doubt that (assuming the scum have safeclaims, which is very very likely - unless I missed something?) the Mod messed up the scum safeclaims so badly that we all have only first names except for the screwed up scum safeclaims. I find it much much more likely that there is no hard and fast rule and that it's a nulltell part of the claim itself. I don't think the claim itself is something which should change the minds of people who were pushing to lynch Pie.

Unless I missed something, we only have one person who claimed to have a first and last name, and that person is likely scum.

Claiming is one of the best places to catch scum because they HAVE to lie. It isn't difficult to scumhunt as scum - you just apply the same principles and look for the same tells you would as town. You can even bus. Claiming is a whole different realm of truth and falsity - you have to fabricate something that doesn't exist and have it cross-check against something you can't see (the town role PMs). And empirically, I have past games where scum have been caught because of messing up name claims. So I have a strong reason to pursue this issue.

I want anyone who has a first AND last name in their role PM to claim. Now.

And by claim, I just mean say, "My character has a first and last name in the role PM."

DO NOT ACTUALLY CLAIM THE NAME OR ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR ROLE.

After Furry Mafia, if I was a traitor I would have replaced back out, to be honest. /wifom

Plum already explains the surname thing better than I did and I still don't see how it matters, but claiming if you have a first and last name can't hurt, right? bv has already claimed he has a last name, so there's one other person besides me...

I'm also going to disagree and back Alm on this one.

@Brandi + Plum: I agree that for some of the characters, their last name is obscure. However, I'm the living counter-example. Everyone (I hope everyone anyways) knows that Joey's last name's Wheeler. Yet, in my role PM, I only had "Joey", which I found unusual. This is why I asked Pie whether his role PM said "Mokuba", or "Mokuba Kaiba".

@Plum: Our mod don't have to mess up anything severely for something like this to happen. If the mod gave "Mokuba" as Pie's fakeclaim, then would it be a huge stretch to think that Pie may have decided to add the last name "Kaiba" when he claimed? I think not.

As I said before, I believe the Mokuba claim was a trap to lure out Seto.
My favorite site mod is Zor Tester.

^This

It makes sense, since, in the show and in YGO abridged only certain characters are referred to by only their first names, and some are often referred to by both.

Also I forgot Jarti was in this game. It's been 6 days- It'd be nice to have some input from him.

Also I wouldn't put too much credit towards the mod's wording of things. In my role PM the accent mark on Tea's name is in the wrong spot and there is an I at the end... "Teá"

THANK FUCKING GOD.

Sorry, I've been busy and essentially ignoring this game existing. However I checked on it today and found InflatablePie fake-claiming my character. I'm Mokuba. Just Mokuba, 1 name, not 2. My role has jack to do with my brother, however in the flavour it mentions him and refers to him as Seto Kaiba. Regardless, I've spent like FUCKING FOREVER, trying to find my damn breadcrumbles. I put them into the "subject"/"RE:" field since it wouldn't show up directly and people would only see it if you quoted the posts. Well lo and behold, when you quote posts the new forum settings don't show up and I've been trying DAMN EVERYTHING to figure out how to show you all them.

WELL I FIGURED IT OUT.

Go to advanced search; search for "batmobile" in subform Coney Island. Make sure it's set to search Post Subjects & Message Text. It'll display a post by me and the subject says "batmobile? I have something like that named after me! :)" Which was my name breadcrumble as Mokuba. For those who don't get the reference, it's the "mokubamobile" from episodes 43/44.

See these for reference of the "mokubamobile":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jE4XaAX-uM#t=5m54s
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1l7OrlU6xE#t=4m42s

I breadcrumbled my role as well, but I'll bring it up when it's actually needed. FOR NOW LYNCH INFLATEABLEPIE THE LIAR DEAR GOD THIS WAS TOO MUCH WORK FOR A FUCKING COUNTERCLAIM WHEN I BREADCRUMBLED.

Will worry about other stuff later, not in the mood.

Wait seriously. wow. Okay. But BV still says he has a first and last name. But I definitely don't think BV is scum. Still, I wonder if IP made that up as a fakeclaim himself or the mod would actually give scum a fakeclaim that is the same as another townies role?

That's enough for me.

I could attempt to argue how convenient it is that Jarti CCs me when he was one of the people highly suspicious of me and this is a tactic to make sure I would get lynched and how breadcrumbs can be planned as scum from D1. Buuuut, I know you guys wouldn't buy that. So, let's save everyone the time and effort.
