Before the day ends, I'd like to address this:
AGar, Ireallydon't like how you instantly label counterargument as OMGUS. To me, this is a perfect way for scum to construct fallacious arguments, and then hide behind OMGUS when they're called on it. I notice that no one's actually refuted, or even really addressed, anyof my counters.-

The villagers took very little time to weep for the dead this morning. Confident in their ability to find the perpetrators, they immediately gathered to find the remaining betrayers. A voice from the crowd peeped up, claiming to have seen who had slipped out. With that, the town grabbed the accused, MichelSableheart and threw a noose over his head. In just a few minutes he joined Screl in the land of the afterlife. After removing his body, the villagers spotted a familiar tint of red fall from his pockets. It seems the villagers were on a roll, for MichelSableheart, the, had been executed. Two in a row! What luck! Hopefully this meant the end of it all. With that, the villagers went back home for a good nights rest.mafia goon

Three? Oh wait.. I'm assuming you mean DP as confirmed as well. D'oh.don_johnson wrote:awesome. results please. hopefully we have three confirmed townies for today.
Who here has played with masons before? Stupid question, but I haven't, so I'm not sure what the best move is here.
Should they just come forward and expose themselves? I mean, assuming DP provides an innocent, and there's no counter-claim (which I doubt will happen only because mafia would be ending it for themselves with that), we have 3 confirmed townies, and mafia only has one NK.
Quick math shows weshouldbe at 7:1 in terms of mafia:town ratio. No second killing party has surfaced, so I'm assuming no SK. 3 confirmed townies would up our odds of hitting scum (if we were to lynch randomly) today to 20% from 12.5%, and tomorrow to 33% (16.6% without any confirmed townies).
Yeah, after I think about it, I like the idea of the remaining mason coming forward.Ski mask? Check! Sawed off? Check! Guilty conscience, fear of death? Check! Check! Check!

We have the numbers advantage to test a counter-claim to the mason. As such, we should get the confirmed townies established as quickly as possible. We have a strong edge over the mafia right now and we should use it to end this decisively.
Remaining mason(s), come forward. DP, give us your results.

Checking in, be back with a post in a bit.
Did anyone else notice that the scum killed the person who hammered? Dunno if this means anything, I'm not big on meta.-

This changes things.
I see no reason to lynch the cop when a guilty result of his has flipped guilty, but I also see no reason why a townie cop would suddenly want us to lynch them to be "sure". A roleblock N2 with no roleblock N1 also seems very odd. Overall, it's a weird sort of WIFOM game when a real townie would have no reason to create it.
I would like David to post again when he's not so out of it. In the meantime, we should stop the mason/not mason claiming, because the mason claims become worthless if we easily agree on a lynch. Don, as to why I wanted the masons to claim previously - we have a tremendous tempo advantage and it would be a waste to fritter it away for a day only to find our number one lynch suspect is a mason. It's far better to combine our mason or masons with likely townies (as nopoint said, it's fortunate that we have some town-seeming people claiming not mason) and start trying to find the last scum by process of elimination. Now, if we all decide on someone to lynch who has no chance of being a mason, then we want to refrain from claims for a day. This account is a hydra. Only I have voiced support of a David lynch at this time, though there is plently of room on the wagon.Copper wrote: In the meantime, we should stop the mason/not mason claiming, because the mason claims become worthless if we easily agree on a lynch.Routine day with a dirt cheap brush

I find this post interesting, considering it's conflicting with your first post of the day where you said you hoped we had three confirmed townies. The only way that could have happened is if David gave an innocent and a remaining mason claimed.don_johnson wrote:why are we outing the mason now? it seems to me that the only benefit is to scum. but whateverz. i am not the mason. i think it would have been better play to just go ahead with the day first. we don't even have dp's results yet.
Also, interesting thought - DP's roleblocked claim doesn't make sense because a night kill went through. We haven't had a third party show up yet, unless scum + third party sent for the same kill N1. But I just don't think that's the case. If there is a roleblocker, for the purposes of a tracker/watcher possibility, they should only be able to kill or roleblock. Most non-newbie games function like this.

I don't like the roleblocked claim.
Why?
For the sake of argument, let us assume three scum (four is getting to the overpowered range):
There is no logical reason for a pro-town roleblocker to block a claimed cop with a confirmed guilty result.
Thus, the remaining scum would be the roleblocker, and assuming that they also get a kill, then last night, their action(s) must have been to kill Oso and block David.
However, there is no reason for them to have not blocked David on Night 1, as a claimed cop.
Therefore, logic would dictate that there is no roleblocker, and David is a scum who bussed yesterday and for whatever reason doesn't want to point a finger today (perhaps he thinks that we'll WIFOM out of lynching him, and then if his hypothetical result turns negative, we'll lynch him, winning the game).
As such...

Clarification of my thoughts on David's WIFOM strategy:
If he fingers Alice, then we will lynch either him or Alice.
He's hoping we take it on faith that he's a true cop, we lynch Alice.
-Alice is innocent. Night 3, David kills another innocent, fingers Bob. At this point, it doesn't matter, though; we would lynch David and end it.
However, if he claims roleblocked, then he has no proof against him that heisn'tthe cop, so we have nothing to lynch him on except for policy. He's hoping trying to WIFOM us into not lynching him. Unfortunately, his argument dissolves against logic.-
