Rajam wrote:ok, I don't know if I'm in the right place or if I'm doing this right, but I'm creating a Themed Mafia game for 19 players. The Theme is "Hunter X Hunter", and I like crazy mechanics almost to the point that sometimes the game doesn't even look like a Mafia game. Basically:
I don't like Vanilla Roles. Everyone has a certain kind of ability
I'm planning on adding a "Buy Phase" previous to each Day Phase. Basically players can buy cards that can help them in the game.
I'd say I have 50%~55% of the game advanced, and my major concern is balance of course. I've already modded 4 mafia games in a chilean forum (where spanish is the main language). I also want to receive some ideas on abilities, and cards "abilities" plus prices and stuff.
Although Hunter X Hunter knowledge is not necessary, it's recommended.
Anyone interested in revewing what I have so far and help me with what's left, send me a PM please.
Thanks in advance.
I think you need to get your modding experience approved by mith beforehand. Also it would be good if you played some games before jumping to mod (you need to know how things work like here, this site is in many aspects different from others where mafia is played). Furthermore, if the game deviates severely from normal mafia, it's unlikely that it might get a "pass" for being actually played...
Don't PM me; I'm not enough experienced for being a reviewer (I just came back from a year-long retirement some three weeks ago).

I could still use some reviewing for this. Not really a lot to read either, just an opinion or two needed.

. If you've seen the previously-run game Last Man Standing, this is similar. If you haven't, the general idea is that everyone has a gun and isn't afraid to use it.
Half of the problem I'm having is in writing flavor, so if'n yeh can speak like the locals of an ol' western town, that'll be a right boon.
I can cross-review.
Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.

OH GOD YES. I LOVED THAT GAME. 8D
That game made me a fan of hohum, you, and VP Baltar. <3
I'm willing to help you out. I'd play, but it would probably be just as fun to watch. I mean, do all the characters have to speak the same dialect? Like, could one be an indian, one be a city slicker, recent immigrant, that type of deal. Even if they all have the same role dealio, (or unless you're planning on all the mafioso to be one group/dialect and the other to be different), a bit of linguistic freedom would go a long way in making the game special.

You're speaking my language here, so to speak. I'll wait until me & RC get everything else straightened out, and then I'll come your way.

Okay, since StrangerCoug still hasn't sent feedback on the setup: I need a reviewer/backup mod for
Blaz Blue: Calamity Trigger Mafia
(Mini Theme). More than one would be nice (though I think StrangerCoug is still willing to backup), but this is a fairly simple setup so I just need one.
Guys, I need several people to review my Mini-Theme game, Fringe Mafia. It has some very different roles, and I have a feeling it's a little unbalanced. This is my first ever themed game, so that's probably why. If you're willing to help review/tweak a setup that's a little different, and needs a bit of work (probably), I'd appreciate you shooting me a PM.
I know I haven't modded a mini normal yet (I'm near the top of the queue!), but I'm planning on making a
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Mafia
the second I can; based off the comics/graphic novels AND the movie. Right now I only have a general idea of what the setup'll look like, so I'd love someone to bounce ideas off of for a bit. Flavor knowledge is
highly
recommended. And no rush, of course.
Also willing to cross-review to the best of my ability, although I recommend not using me as the sole reviewer since I'm not that confident in my reviewing abilities yet.
If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know when you're being lied to?

You can;t mod that in the Normal Queue, so I'd wait a little bit before making it.

Design it anyway. Its good practice.

Shoot me a Pm and we can work on it into the wee hours of the morning. I'd reccomend getting a second opinion though. Also not that familiar with Fringe, but I have wikipedia.
are you thinking of me when you're with somebody else?

Got one review for it, but I wouldn't mind a second one. I'll cross-review too, as long as the game doesn't seem like one I'd want to play.
Would like someone to review a 12 player game setup that I have. Please PM me if interested. It's a pretty standard setup, so you shouldn't have to wrack your brain over it.
I need a 2nd opinion as well if that's okay with anyone.

Okay.
I have an incredibly swingy, incredibly bastard game I need reviewed. I'm not looking for ABSOLUTE balance, but more for someone to read this setup and tell me how fucking ridiculous it's going to be and how I can either amp up (or tone down) the ridiculousness of it. Also, a worst-case-scenario town loss and best-case-scenario town win would be nice too.
