Second of all, right choice for who, mafia? I mean, Nexus has no way of knowing who's scum at this point, and with the added pressure of knowing he has to make the right choice for town, you're not really helping your case by not making a case at all. I mean, really, does scum always give up this easy, or what?

He voted, on Day 1, 4 confirmed town/town PRs, and then Kov/Singersigner. Day two, he votes 3 confirmed town/town PRs, and then Mr Flay. Day 3, he votes a now confirmed Town.

I can't see past Beefster. I think he's scum.

The fact is, I can't see a scummer slot flaking out twice. So, I can't see Singersigner's slot as scum. This, coupled with my earlier reasons, coupled with the fact I think Beefster is scummy, leads to this:

The sun swings by, as Beefster is dragged to the noose. While Nexus is checking the body, singer kicks him to the ground, renders his legs useless, and, after taking a trombone out of her coat pocket, shoves it right through his skull.

[MONTHS LATER]

The harsh, frigid wind echoes throughout a busy town. Although the snow keeps falling down at a massive pace, the townspersons continued doing their part to make the town grow from a quaint village, to a metropolis. From then on, the town prospered for many generations to come. Singer stood next to the pier, despite the frigid winds blasting in her face. She just called her boss that she took over the town, and made changes to it. The metropolis took over 1/300th of the world, which is pretty huge. Singer walked towards the the town square, and sat on the bench. And, in the center of the town square, a monument reads:

"In Memory of: Mr. Flay"

I tried my best, but in my defence, it was my first ever game. I went with who I thought was scum. I got it wrong. I'll learn from it. It's a newbie game for a reason.

Very well played to singersigner, who I did not suspect was scum at all.

This was my first time as cop, and I have to be completely honest: I panicked when I actually got a guilty on Flay on N1. I was so prepared for an innocent that I had no clue what to do with a guilty. In retrospect, I should have played it a little better with my guilty result, but Flay gave me so little to work with in terms of actually building a case on him outside of my investigation that I was forced to claim before I wanted to. Ah well.

Hey guys...
So a few thoughts:
1. This was only my second game, but I heard that mafia usually wins newbie games anyway (as was true in my first game), so Nexus, don't feel too bad.
2. The only reason I feel like I played well in any sense, was because 1. I replaced in, so I was given some sort of leniency with that, and then all of a sudden I was able to swoop in and look all "townie." And 2. in

my

newbie game, I took the initiative to look through the QT, and the IC (who was a mafia member) helped his scum buddy by immediately saying "start acting like town, and eventually you will forget you are scum." That really helped a lot, because I started finding fallacies in people's arguments, simply because 'as a townie' I wouldn't necessarily agree with all of them. So if you're ever mafia in the future, I would suggest straying away from "oh they look so townie, they can't be scum." Also...it seemed like everyone gave me a "town" stamp...which didn't really give much leeway for looking at me as a possibility of scum in the future.

@Beefster...sorry, dude. I knew you knew I was scum as soon as Nikanor died, but I couldn't really let that affect my "town" play. I hope you understand.

@jmurph...I think you were just fine. I got a cop vibe from you as soon as you didn't give much of a reason to vote Flay, but insisted that he was scum anyway. But I wasn't about to "out" you, in case that gave scum any ideas.

I still don't understand how Flay and Kov managed to RB and NK the same person...

That was the moment at which I thought singer had it in the bag. In LyLo, when someone else has already voted you and the other options is a Confirmed Townie, you HAVE to vote for the voter. OMGUS isn't even in it anymore, it just makes sense.

Well-played to singersigner for lasting two days w/o a partner. I knew I was likely to draw the Cop investigation, but I

talked myself out of thinking of jmurph3 as the Cop!

So by the time I realized he had an investigation on me, I had talked myself into a corner by claiming he was pro-town (which she was, in fairness). So I self-hammered to throw confusion (which is only really a valid topic as nabbed scum).

Anyway, don't feel bad about losing, those of you who were Town. It's a learning experience anyway, and this was a good example overall. Would have been a very different game if we'd nailed the Cop N1...
