I played in one jester game before this, and the no-lynch option was actually disabled until the mimes won/were killed. Shutting off the jester's win condition seems like a good strategy to me. In the last game we actually had a townie off himself to deny Jesters a lynch. Food for thought.

In my estimation, you deliberately drew attention to yourself early in the game in an anti-town manner - the self-voting, the "sometimes self-voters are mafia" comments, celebrating your vote count...
In a game with both mafia and jesters, it's really hard to tell the scum from the Jesters at times, and it's hard to figure out who is a Jester. I can most easily make sense of it as either a Jester gambit, or a scum gambit. It makes no sense as town, at all. The only question now is whether you're a Jester or not, and your current defensiveness points towards you being scum, trying to walk back your earlier attitude.

No lynch is terribad. It is guaranteed to cost the town the game. If we no lynch, the scum will want to avoid Jesters; every Jester they NK means we're less likely to no lynch later. XScorpion's reasoning is backward and is really hurting scumhunting efforts...

It's not impossible to tell scum from Jester, it's just hard. Motivation is key, and at the moment nopoint seems motivated by scumjuice.

Stef's attitude to nopoint, and then (unsuccessfully) voting no lynch, is very suspect.... Hmmm...

Well we are prolly dealing with 3-2 scum and 2-3 jesters, maybe more.
Id say, unless jesters are scum, that there chances of killing a jester tonight, has decent odds to it.
Plus we probably have at least one vig, and maybe a cop.
So I say we go for the no lynch, I am saying that we dont hammer a no lynch for like a week more, just to try and have a sound idea of people.

Oh come on, are you guys even thinking this through? First of all, the mod post pretty much tells us that lynching a jester may not end the game, so we should not be this afraid of lynching people. Secondly, what exactly is a night phase going to do. I highly doubt a cop is going to out himself Day 2, and scum are just going to random night kill. If we have a vig,

that

guy is going to random night kill as well. At the very least, we should continue discussion in order to have more posts for scum and possible vig to analyze, if indeed you expect scum to do our work for us.

Personally, I think this is just a convenient excuse to help scum achieve their win condition. XScorpion is scum.

Continuing discussion is fine, but lynching is bad. A nightphase is hopefully going to get at least 2 random kills, which is a LOT better than 2 random kills and a lynch that may hit a jester. Just because it won't end the game doesn't make it good, we're trying to win here, not come in second place.

And how exactly is no lynching helping scum? If I was scum, I'd want to lynch because it just means 1 person closer to winning the game, and lynching a jester would be fine because I know I could kill the other one.* Not to mention that jesters are going to try to get themselves lynched, while I'd be trying to not get lynched - a good combination. So what we're actually doing here is 1) slowing down scum progress and 2) ensuring that jesters can't win, period.

*assuming that the setup is like the last one i played in, where 2 jesters had to get lynched, and they suicide if the other jester is nightkilled.
