Gandalf is utterly unreadable to me. Claiming scum is kind of a null-tell but at least he's generating discussion with his antics.
Muthaa is suspicious to me, the bandwagon was useful to get us talking a bit more and he seemed against it.
@Muthaa - Please clarify how you feel about bandwagons in general, are they usually good or usually bad or what?
unvote; vote: JesseSheffieldmy vote belongs here again. I don't like Jesse's reason for not voting. Sure, having a reason to vote is good. But, sitting there not voting and saying he isn't going to randomly vote will not cut it. I can't imagine he has NO opinion on ANY player.
@Jesse - Has anyone done anything scummy in this game so far? Who do you suspect the most?
Also I'm not familiar with the term scumseeking. I have a vague idea, but could you explain more?I'm a chocoholic. I just can't live without that chocohol!-

(I must also apologize for being gone a bit.)
I too don't really understand the point of the nopoint wagon. It seems kinda random to me, but whatever. True to its name at least!
As for Jesse,
Ok so this brings me to my next point.JesseSheffield wrote:If I had to pick out players who I think are most likely to be scum I'd say you, Phaen. Town players don't normally seek out reasons for players to be scum. That's something scum do because they can't actually pick out other players to be scum, because they're the scum.
If you think I'm the most likely player to be scum, out of all the players in this game, why don't you vote me then? How sure do you have to be about someone before you're able to use your voting powers? More than 50% sure? Because I gotta tell you it's gonna be a whiiile before any one person has that high of a chance of being scum.I'm a chocoholic. I just can't live without that chocohol!-

again you mistake "placing a vote" with "ending the day." I'm not asking you to end the day.JesseSheffield wrote:Things change in Mafia by post, you should know that. Just because someone is most likely to be scum doesn't mean they're scum, obviously. Six pages in is nowhere near long enough for me to start panicking about the day lasting to long, especially D1. It should be pretty obvious by now that I don't think you're likely to be scum. Two and a half days ago that answer would've been different. But I'm not foolhardy enough to jump the gun and pursue a wagon intending to lynch someone so early. And throw out that useless percentage system.I'm a chocoholic. Ok I've done a little reading and I've got a few thoughts to share:
1. I don't get why people are making a big deal about gandalf hopping off shotty when he was asked to. I don't think it has all the meaning that's being attached to it. The vote was originally placed during the RVS.
2. I'm liking the Muthaa wagon and I'm willing to put my vote on it.
3. Katsuki's most recent vote on the wagon feels scummy to me. It's not so much the fact that he voted, but the timing. He ignores Antihero's question and then immediately after being voted he votes Muthaa. It seems like his motivation is less about pressuring Muthaa and more about getting attention away from himself.[/list]
Unfortunately I only have one votevote: KatsukiI'm a chocoholic. I just can't live without that chocohol!-

Oh yea I forgot I have some questions, too.
@Katsuki- I know it's gotta be really annoying to be asked the same question over and over again, but I don't understand the nopoint wagon either. I even ISO'd him and I can't really get a solid read on him. Could you at least shed some light on what made you want to join that wagon?
- What do you mean by "Antihero is next after muthaa" ? Do you expect the day to end very soon? Would this be a good thing?
- A question about post #70. If a player is "different from most people" does that make them more likely to be scum?
- This isn't a question. Please post more. Holy crap, 3 posts in 8 days... I know you can do better.

Are we rushing somewhere? No, but I want to get a chance to examine more people before the day ends. If you stall indefinitely, I'm worried about what might happen. People might move on to other targets so we aren't wasting time waiting, which would let you get away with contributing nothing. Or people might decide to lynch you before examining anyone else, which would cause Day 1 to have less discussion than it could.
I like your wagon because hopefully it'll put some pressure on you and get you to start contributing.I'm a chocoholic. I just can't live without that chocohol!-

Both of them feel like scum to me. I voted Katsuki over Muthaa earlier because I wanted to pressure Katsuki at the time. Muthaa already had enough pressure that he *should* have been on the defense, but he just up and disappeared.HackerHuck wrote:To those currently voting for Katsuki, why him over Mufaa?
I'm more than willing to hammer Muthaa when the time comes. He's at L-1 right now?
@Muthaa, you might as well claim if you're watching.I'm a chocoholic. I just can't live without that chocohol!-

Ok, I'll admit I'm lost about how to interpret all this. Can we get a few words from the folks more familiar with the setup?
2/3 of the people I suspect (shotty and gandalf, mainly because it seems like scumwouldthink Muthaa was innocent since he wasn't on their team) died last night and came up as doctors so I'm not feeling all too confident about my reads right now -_-
I'm glad both the vigs are still alive. Is it advisable for us to massclaim with 2 vigs, 3 scum, and only 3 doctors? It means the scum will surely kill a doctor tonight and if we mislynch or misvig another doctor or two tonight the vigs wont have any protection on the 3rd night. However, massclaiming will probably protect the vigs from death tonight and (if we're accurate about hitting scum) on the 3rd night too. Is it worth it?I'm a chocoholic. I'm well aware of which roles are remaining. I am following the game. I'm just unsure concerning whether to massclaim and concerning my reads on people.Scott Brosius wrote:What exactly are you lost about? We have 3 doctors 2 vigs and 3 scum left.
Sorry, the sentence order/word choice of my post might have been confusing.I'm a chocoholic. I just can't live without that chocohol!-

I've got no problem claiming once the town decides to do so.
I await your analysis then, Katsuki.
Scott, it's no problem, I just wanted to be clear since you asked me to clarify.
If I seemed annoyed it was because you listed for me the number of roles present even though I listed the same in my earlier post.

I'm still watching.
After the claims we'll have plenty to talk about. Voting and narrowing down who we think is fakeclaiming and such.
Can we hurry up and claim, then? (is there really an advantage to going in a certain order? if not I can just claim now...)I'm a chocoholic. I just can't live without that chocohol!-

It's not really a good reason, but I've become uninterested. The pace of everything in this game is agonizingly slow.JesseSheffield wrote:Got a good reason as to why?
For example, taking severaldaysto massclaim after everyone agreed to it.
I'll try to examine day1 a little more instead of just going off my gut...I'm a chocoholic. I just can't live without that chocohol!-
