That sounds right, but isn't a vanilla townie a safer lynch than most?
We don't need safe lynches on day 3.

Vote Darquiel
.
You are misinterpreting what I said. I didn't say that he was a safe lynch, I said that he was a safer lynch than most.
Sorry for that :
We don't need safer lynches on day 3 after lynching two townies. We need to lynch mafia, who we've not hit yet.
Better ?
Better.

Wait a cotton-picking minute...

There are no 'bad guys' in the story of the nativity.

Which means that some other group from the story has been nominally decided to be the 'mafia' for the purposes of this game.

In the story of the nativity, there are two 'groups' - the Magi and the Shepherds. The Magi are the masons; i don't think it's implausible to think that the shepherds, as the only other group, are the mafia.

Add to that the craplogic. Add to that the early claim.

Or there could be multiple Serial Killers, or a cult (King Herod maybe?). There are many other possibilities here. Also, maybe I missed this, but where did the magi claim?

And, yes, I will actually go back to researching Tungsten. I just like to procrastinate a lot...

I'm not a shepherd but can say that there is very probably more than 1 shepherd in the game indeed. The possibility of GodFather is still here for Squonk but Fritzler wouldn't have backed him up like that if he was one.
For now, I'll ask Thoth to come up with reasons why I should be voting for him, and I'd like him to respond to those.

Having multiple's definitively convinces me that his claim is real. He could still be scum, but for now that's unlikely enough to vote him.

Good. Now that we tend to agree that I'm innocent, I would still appreciate those who attacked my posts with the term "crap logic" to explain WHY they do not agree with the applied logic. I still maintain that my logic was sound.

#264 was crap because it scapegoats Dybeck lightly.

Your previous vote on Dybeck sounded a bit too eager also and the "cop-tell" reasoning falls in the bin considering that :
- we have lynched a paranoid cop.
- there is already another claimed cop.
For now, I'll ask Thoth to come up with reasons why I should be voting for him, and I'd like him to respond to those.

I beg to disagee. We know we had a a paranoid cop, which opens up the possibilities of a quartet of cops of varying degrees of usefulness, as sometimes used in bigger games. The fact that we have another player claiming cop only strengthens that possibility, it does not weaken it.

Never say who you investigate. If he's innocent, he'll show up dead the next morning.

It's actually not such a bad thing for the town as a whole - but it really sucks for the person you investigate. It's kinda convention not to do it...

I'd rather have a cleared living townie than a cleared dead townie but maybe that's just convention.

I think the question was even about who he'll investigate beforehand.

Now, a vanilla townie may not be big enough a fish for the Mafia to kill...

Heh. Your facetiousness belies the fact that I actually do have a point, which I've actually thought through. If you'd like to hear it, you're welcome to PM me - I'm not gonna hijack this thread with a strategy discussion.
