Adding a new rule I totally missed.

If you haven't posted for 48 hours, you will be prodded. Failing to post in 48 hours after the prod will have your ass replaced. Post, or GTFO! This does not apply if you are V/LA or dead, of course.

Yes, in fact, I do remember Mini 1005. I happen to agree with the fact that it can be construed as rolefishing, and you not answering (which you still haven't done) is not helping that case.

If it were my intention to rolefish with that question, it would not have mattered whether or not I answered first. So, tell me, how is waiting for everyone else to answer -- something I have done for all the games in which I have done an RQS -- going to benefit the hypothetical Equiscum? If it benefits scum so much, why do I see the vast majority of players doing an RQS answering their own questions last? Further, if that particular question benefits scum so much, why do I see town players ask it so much?

You're chasing after a red herring, and you didn't have a problem with the questions (save for your "OH THE WIFOM" response) when you first answered them. You brought it up only
after
singersigner did.

1. UTC-7 until November
2. See activity disclaimer on page 1
3. Fruit vendor <_<
4. Order

The one person who refused to answer #1 because it was not "game-related" received +10 scum points. It's tied to question #2. I asked to get a sense of how active the game was going to be. Standard question, etc.

#3 was
not
game-related. Given all the controversy that just happened, nothing I say is going to look good, but
fuck it,
it is what it is. I actually didn't care how you answered; as several of you have already mentioned, it's a WIFOM question that one can't use in any sort of analysis. I threw it in there because it was a standard RQS question. The giant stink you lot (and by "you lot" I really mean only two of you) made over this is telling, so I'll give singersigner points for that one.

#4
was
game-related, but I may have masked it a bit too much for it to be of any use. I'm working on a question that would tell me how certain players think, which would hypothetically lead me to NK analysis later in the game, without making it look like that was my intention. We'll see how this run goes.

/in before "Equinox crumpled under pressure! She's scum!"

I'm a bit more than miffed that I even got pressure for this
shit
. It's reasonable to expect it in a newbie game, but here? Come on.

Quote wall incoming.

To actually address RQS responses:
Nobody Special wrote:1) Pacific
2) Walls. That's all I can say. I get a little quote-happy. Deal with it.
3) Any answer I might give would be very WIFOMish, so, I plead the Fifth.
4) Chaos all the way, baby.
I forgot that I got into a huge quote war with you. Thanks for reminding me to avoid getting you into that.
Zed wrote:1) Eastern.
2) Active, I have the time to check the thread multiple times a day. I might not post everytime, though.
3) I'll tell you later.
4) Chaos ftw.
Possible future lurking from #2, but I do that too, so who cares. >_>
singersigner wrote:1. Pacific...NS, where're you from?
2. I've been a lot more active before these past couple of weeks. Not as much with school and band taking over now...but enough to invest in my games...if that makes sense...?
3. Pick another question.
4. I'm OCD. So order.
Makes sense. As long as Mafia doesn't interfere with school.
quadz08 wrote:1. What is your time zone? Arizona (so Pacific, right now)
2. How much activity can we expect from you? a pretty good amount; I'm pretty busy, but check in regularly
3. What is your favorite role? OH THE WIFOM.
4. Chaos or order? I'm watching "Watchmen," so I'm gonna say chaos.
/shrug
Sevei wrote:1. What is your time zone? CST
2. How much activity can we expect from you? Um, 2-3 quality posts a day?
3. What is your favorite role? I've always rather fancied the role of Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing.
4. Chaos or order? Chaos, Bebe. (But in the totally chaotic good way.)
+25 brownie points to Sevei for her response to #3. +10 town points to Sevei for response to #2 -- that's transparency, folks.
Nexus wrote:1. What is your time zone? GMT
2. How much activity can we expect from you? Depends on whether I get a job. Helping out at a school for two weeks, but should affect majorly
3. What is your favorite role? Nice try
4. Chaos or order? Chaos
Good luck with your job search.

To summarize:

Four players in Pacific, one in Central, and one in Eastern, so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect from these folks. GMT I'm not so good with, but I can deal with that. :P

Five players answered "chaos," and two players answered "order." One of you decided to discount your response by claiming
Watchmen
influenced you, but whatever. Sevei claiming "chaotic good" is interesting. Dunno what it means. +5 town points to the others who put up with the question and just answered it.

Thanks for answering.

As promised: -10 town points for #1

Equinox, not wanting to reveal my location isn't something game related.
Don't finagle it into something that is.

The formula on page 2 was a bad physics joke from my sleep-deprived brain. My point was that I thought singer's questioning of equinox was indeed a push.

...uh...what?

So for your questions:
I never had a problem with #1+#2. You're right; they give a good idea of how active people can be.

Ok, here's the problem I had with #3. It may not be game related, but it sure as hell looks like it, so we're going to take it as such. Backtracking and saying, oh no it wasn't supposed to be like that looks scummy. Contrary to what you think, it is NOT a standard RVS question unless you want to look scummy for asking it. It frustrates me that people invoke WIFOM simply to see the reactions of other people...that's WIFOM in it of itself. I don't think people had to react so strongly to it. Personally, I just didn't answer the question. The fact that some people got "so offended" because of it is telling of their defensiveness (quadz and jmurph off the top of my head).

#4 was just another question IMO. I figured it was more of a, how can we expect you to react to/play this game. Now that you've explained what exactly you were looking for, I can see what you're getting at; HOWEVER, now that you've explained it, I can also see how you might've just set me up for future NK WIFOM. Just throwing that out there.
Glork and quadz08 are my favorite.

safely continue this...stuff and have a huge party cause I just want a party really...
PS. This colour's mine ;)

Yes, I lurk sometimes. I don't always have something to say, just to name on reason.

Antihero, I can understand not wanting to give away your location, but I wouldn't really say that telling us your timezone is giving away your location. But it is your choice, so thats it. A better response to the question would have been that you don't want to give out that information, instead of saying it isn't game related.

Chaotic Good: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alignment_ ... Dragons%29

Antihero, Time Zones are usually pretty big, so asking one's TZ isn't like asking for a/s/l. If we know you live somewhere like Timbuktu and are probably asleep when the rest of us are filling up page after page of debate, then we won't bust you for active lurking or something.

Going back over your ISO, I have to ask about this incident:

You quote Singer out of order and then dismiss her calling you out about it; I have read and reread that post of yours and it still looks like a deliberate misrep.
Antihero wrote::lol:
That would only hold up if I actually put the quotes in the order they appeared.
Really? I think it holds up as is because when people list quotes, sometimes others don't go back and read the originals. Therefore, listing someone's quotes out of order to make an argument is misrepping. Can you explain why you disagree?

This is what singer said when I said that her equinox push doesn't have any merit.

This is what she said previously. I put the original quote first and then pointed out something she said previously. I guess you I could have posted them in reverse order, but I think that would have been pretty awkward. Please tell me how changing the order subverts the meaning of the post.
