Okay, we're all split on wagons right now. As much as I'd rather go for Prozac at the moment, I can go for a DH wagon.Unvote Vote: DemonHybridShow"When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist." -Helder Camara

I looked through both cases, the DemonHybrid case bores the hell out of me and the fact that Wraith has now jumped on it (no suprises there) it is one that totally disinterests me. The singer wagon though interests me more. I said I would look through it a few pages back and failed to do so. However antihero did have a point in those pages and the first few posts in 88 where he decides its not worth defending go a long way. I still prefer my Wraith vote but the singer wagon is an interesting one.Mostly retired. Unless you ask or it's something interesting.-

To be honest, over half of my DH case is a RECK case. I suggest you iso RECK as well and see how scummy he was. DH has played better but still pretty scummy and RECK was just awful.Porochaz wrote:I looked through both cases, the DemonHybrid case bores the hell out of me and the fact that Wraith has now jumped on it (no suprises there) it is one that totally disinterests me. I'll do that later, (when I come back from a party) but I don't see it changing. If you want to help me out, you could link to the main points of your case, you don't have to but it'll be easier for me when Im looking through the thread drunk.Mostly retired. Actually, my recollection of Reckoner is a lurker play. My vote on DH is for a few specifically scummy actions DH has done, mostly in the past. I'm really sick right now, so I don't want to go digging. Mostly a check-in post.Show"When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. Ok, so I can be convinced on to a singersigner wagon. There's a couple of things that strike me the wrong way, both of which are related to dana. Firstly, during day 1, singer (like a lot of people) gets drawn into the dana vs frank dichotomy thing. But she calls them both scummy and stupid and repeatedly tries to intimate this is some kind of bussing play. At the time she was doing this, it looked like dana was the one going down, so linking dana and frank would be a pretty smart move as scum. Combined with the fact that I don't really see how it looks like bussing at all, that's a serious question mark frowny face thing.
Secondly, there's her reaction to dana's claim. She's careful to show that she's still suspicious of dana, but that we shouldn't lynch him today. Which is like the perfect balancing act if a scumbuddy claims a power role for a player that's worried about being linked to them. So again, a little bit dodgy there - and it gets worse, because with no real explanation, her position has changed by day 2 to thinking dana is town and claiming he made the smart play (or more exactly, "did what any smart cop would do") in targeting DP. I want to focus on that wording a wee bit - singer clearly believes that a cop would have targeted DP that night. I'm not sure everyone would agree that was the smart play, and the idea had to hav come from somewhere - it's easy to think that that topic might be discussed in the mafia qt, and you'd probably assume that they'd tell dana to claim to target whoever they think a real cop would target. So another strike against her there.
Other than that? I thought xite was pretty obviously town, but I don't think people voting people who I think are pretty obviously town is that telling a scumtell when pretty much everyone in the game has been guilty of it. And besides, since gorrad flipped town I'm beginning to doubt my own reads a little bit anyway. But hey, I calls it as I sees it.
On to MME now.(10:50:24 PM) xcaykex: GODDAMNIT I DONT WANNA GET RID OF MY TENTACLE RAPE PORN

Ok, I thiiink I can see where you're coming from. The only thing that strikes me as odd with this statement is that you very clearly understand a lot of people got sucked into the same thing...but I still fail to understand how my situation was so different.Shanba wrote:Ok, so I can be convinced on to a singersigner wagon. Uh...what? Reads change. I gave him the benefit of the doubt (JUST LIKE XITE) on D2, especially given that we hadn't had a legitimate CC. Also, I don't see what's so wrong with thinking he made the right move in investigating his "CC." It may not be what everyone would do, but please point out the flaw in thinking it was a good move for a town-aligned cop. You're throwing spaghetti with the last bit. Complete WIFOM. "Oh my, Shanba must be Dana and Nhammen's scum buddy. He came up with this theory, that must be true, only he's saying I did it, so boo on him." That doesn't sound right, now does it?Shanba wrote:Secondly, there's her reaction to dana's claim. She's careful to show that she's still suspicious of dana, but that we shouldn't lynch him today. Why would you even say this? Shanba said why your situation was different right in the quote. "But she calls them both scummy and stupid and repeatedly tries to intimate this is some kind of bussing play."singersigner wrote:

Oh, so now that it you think it might work in your favor, you start comparing yourself to Xite and how she acted towards dana.singer wrote:Uh...what? Reads change. I gave him the benefit of the doubt (JUST LIKE XITE) on D2, especially given that we hadn't had a legitimate CC.
I skimmed MME's ISO and one thing that struck me as weird was the complete 180 he did on Xite when dana "got an innocent" on her. I'll look into it further tomorrow when I don't feel like I'm about to .... *falls asleep*The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.-

Ok, reading MME's iso I'm against lynching him today. Whooo backtracking. I've come to a different conclusion about the post that set off massive alarm bells yesterday.
Singer is a much better lynch.Vote: Singersigner
a) way to bypass my point completely and start talking about something else. I am referring of course to your continued assessment that frank and dana must be scumbuddies. There was not a huge number of people doing that, if any.
b) Yes, reads change, but they generally change for a reason. You had very clearly stated that you didn't believe dana's claim day 1 and were only holding off lynching him because you didn't want to lynch a claimed cop day 1. Then day 2 you come out and say you believe his claim, simply because he did what a smart cop would. That's a strange reason to suddenly believe him when you had been fairly certain he was scum day 1.
c) The point I am making is that scum would certainly believe that dana's target was the smart one. Not all players believed that dana's target was the smart one. That you so clearly did is significant - it's not WIFOM; if anything, your attempt to discredit it is WIFOM. But anyhoo.(10:50:24 PM) xcaykex: GODDAMNIT I DONT WANNA GET RID OF MY TENTACLE RAPE PORN

Too many suspects, not enough evidence to go around. The only person I'm certain about alignment is Shanba, and since he's been a voice of reason throughout the game I'll go with him.Show"When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. I don't trust my read on wraith any more. I still think he's town, but I might just be biased by the appalling cases that have been thrown at him generally - there might be some scummy stuff I can't bring myself to admit. And Shanba, I trust you. Even after Gorrad. You make sense, and I find myself agreeing with you more and more.
