So, to clarify, do you find Snake's posting to be scummy (albeit not as scummy as LMP) or not?

Thisd isn't true. as I've said numerous times, I thought LMP was scum based on him expressing happiness at Jack's claim.
LMP explained quite clearly that he wasn't "expressing happiness" at Jack's claim, he was saying that Jack's play dosn't make sense as a scum gambit. And you didn't vote for him after he had explained this. So you clearly knew what he actually was saying; you just didn't care, since a literal (mis)reading of his words gave you an excuse to follow Glork and place a bad vote on someone. Just like you did with me a few posts later.

You are consistently ignoring what people obviously mean in favor of what you can quote them out of context as having said in order to attack you, and that's what gives you away as being scum.

SnakePlissken wrote:Right I haven't disappeared for pages in fact I think you'll find me on the last one. I am playing in 4 games currently and I am mod ding one off site, so it's a bit hard keeping notes on where I am in each one.

So not voting on Emp because he posts a lot? I think you'll find posting a whole lot is actually a scum tell as they tend to overcompensate to try and make themselves look like town by being an active 'scum hunter' then there's the other end of the scale where the lurkers avoid posting to keep their neck out of the noose and be forgotten about.

Are we anywhere near endgame anyway Lowell?

So, your proof of being town, Snake is...

that you're town? You...don't plan to show us? Just kinda insist and hope we go away?

Do you think this will work? I mean, think of it this way. As it stands, you're going to be lynched. So being unhelpful will CERTAINLY prevent that, right? Um...wait, I think you missed something here.

Put another way, as town, do you have ANYTHING to lose by providing reads, trying to hunt scum, and overall do townie things despite being in threat of lynch? I mean, I think your cost-benefit here is kinda screwed up.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Jack. Ever since the "claim" post, he's done almost nothing (and I know that's the pot calling the kettle black), except post short responses of very little content, usually piggybacking off someone else, presumably to keep his activity level up. If anything, I'd lay odds that the claim is completely fake, and that he's scum.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

I'd say posting loads was a null tell aswell. I've repeatedly played scum whilst making sure I am on the towns radar at all times and know a lot of other people who do it aswell. Then, there's also some situations where you need to sit back as scum and coast. What scum does depends on the situation. Right, Yos? :D

L-3 now, lets see how he overreacts this time.
It's not an overreaction, just that im playing terribly in this game and I know it (And so do you all). It's also allowin the scum a free ride through this day phase. Im putting it down to playing too many games thats it.

Anyway, I will try to explain a bit more about my sir postsalot theorm.

When you are scum in general you do try harder than a normal town to appear town, would you agree? Well on that basis and becuase of that you tend to fly in with a lot of questions and pick up on as much as can, even the slightest thing. Well at least in my limited experience thats what I have seen happening. Although on here the official version as in the forum as a whole that is, there's a lot more bussing goin on, again building peoples vote counts.

Of course every tell is open to conjecture, but from where Im sitting looking in on this game, there's a lot of dynamics and the post frequency is one of the things that can be looked at. It's not a be all and end all, its a part theorm, of course you can all disagree, but it's how Im looking at things.

Oh and Agar why?

Xine is scummy too, and a hypocrite. (what leads you to this in particular?)
I'm liking Jack's recent play. (Really? Jack's so scattershot with his comments Im interested to see why.)
UK too. (Or is it the fact that they both agree with and are voting the same way as you currnetly?)

@Snake: So you conjecture that...because scum want to look town, and town is benefitted by posting a lot...scum would post a lot...more?

Huh?

I...isn't that just Too Townie with a special wrapper?

Let's play your game then. At what threshold does an amount of posts switch from being very townie to being scummy?
