It would have been a day like any other day in Midnight Solace. The same strange sky that was half night half day, the same peaceful calm, and the same sounds of the early chatter and grind of the market place.

Yet, everyone knew this day was different. There were strangers amongst them. Strangers with a plan most sinister.

The day began, and the people converged into one spot, no one left out of sight, as they began to delve into the happenings to see what they could find.

The people talked, pointed fingers, argued, and whatever else they could come up with, never making up their minds as to who could be plotting amongst them.

That is, until one person spoke up.

"What's in a name, but a mere reflection of one's inner wants and desires and fancies which can be distorted and diluted by other people surrounding you as much as by someone distorting one's name? We should see what lies in that direction," the calm and stoic

stated.

"Wha.. what mockery is this," came the rest of the towns quick reply, each person left in various levels of confusion at the seemingly unsung riddle that had just been uttered.

"Must we play games of faux misunderstanding,"

asked the crowd, "it should be simple. By stating random wisdom, hopefully we can tell who's hiding ill-intent, just by reaction alone. What say you? I mean... we should be able to tell who's who, just by name alone. We were all born and raised here, surely if someone is intent on harming this town, it wouldn't be any of us. It would be someone new to the town... right?"

Nods of confused agreement seemed to be had at that speech, but somewhere came a voice, "why that's utterly ridiculous. No on has moved here since a fourth year ago. Anyone who's a true Midnight Solacean would know that!"

And with that statement the fourth wall seemed to break.

"Yeah, that's right!"

"Your aren't one of us!"

"Burn the witch!"

"But... we don't have fire handy for such a thing..."

"Oh yeah I forgot... KILL THE WITCH ANYWAYS!"

The newly formed mob took

to the noose at that point, the day wearing thin, and patience waning; all the while

befuddled face went slack, as the noose tightened on his neck.

Not even the glint of the gun found in his pocket afterwords, could take away the shock of the small paper notebook found along with it. Pages blank, never to be filled.

The town of Midnight Solace woke to the smell of smoke the morning after.

Everywhere outside, flames were feeding off the wood of the houses, growing every minute.

The people of the town all pitched in to help get rid of the flames, before it consumed everything.

It took a long time, but the town preserved and managed to salvage everything they could find.

Everybody seemed to have gotten out of it okay, that is until the town did a head count.

"Where's

nocase

," some asked.

Deciding to see for themselves, the town searched for

nocase's

house.

Completely destroyed by the flames, the house was almost unrecognizable, a sure sign that this was the point of origin of the flames.

With the smell of gasoline in the air, and burned flesh, the town looked and they saw, but

was no more.

It would seem these newcomers had more in store for the town then met the eye.

Hey, I've replaced in for Netopalis during the Night. I've read the thread but didn't take detailed notes.

But basically, the most suspicious people are Nathanael for asking the SK questions and Mitsuru Kirijo for that so-called accidental hammer. Probably wasn't an accident.

Aaaanyways, I saw this coming. We're in a 12 player setup. Meaning we likely have 4 mafia. Possibly 3 and an arsonist judging by nocase's death

Suspicion fell on myself, slowsilver, Nexus and Nat yesterday, and a little on BV towards the end. Why would I draw attention to myself with a risky quickhammer when I could easily have diverted attention onto one of the other suspects by staying more on the sidelines? That would have been my tactic had I been playing as scum. Anyways, WIFOM etcetc.

And if we had a cop claim out of slowsilver, I can guarantee you that at least 3 people would have screamed fakeclaim, myself included. And another few would have cried WIFOM, making for confusion and probably a no lynch.

I dropped the hammer by accident. If you're gonna focus on that as your case, then it's a pretty poor attempt. I'm human. I make mistakes. Get over it.
