What do you want my opinion on?

I need some body to get a case written up so i can answer to everything. I'm at l-2, and that shocks me. (not having a formal case, that is)

I'll let everyone else speak for themselves, but I really don't like how hard you were pushing to get Thestatusquo to claim flavor. That's helping scum if they don't have fake role PMs and why I stopped giving a damn what chain he is.

@SC, they can watch 1 flip and they will know all they want to about faking role pms. The town almost always lynches town on d-1. Plus the scum kill, they get 2 (count them 2) flavors before they will really (unless town is lucky) need to claim. The scum will know 41% of flavors when day 2 starts (1 lynch + 1 kill + 3 scum roles). How will knowing a players flavor be really important if they all ready know 41% of the flavor by d-2? And factor in that most of the time (like in this game) one can't quote role pms. Thus most players just spit out their role (TSQ style) and forget about flavor... I want a general case on me. All of my scummy points listed. I think I've talked enough about the flavor claim at the moment.

Who said I was talking about quoting role PMs, for one thing? We've both been on here long enough to know that we're supposed to be paraphrasing flavor, not quoting it off the bat. Yes, it's likely to be a simple "chain X, role Y" because it's the easiest to do and the most common, but I've seen legal rewords in several games.

If you're telling the truth about your role, you've done it.

For another thing, scum flavor is irrelevant for the purposes of my argument as claiming it is suicide. It at least sticks out like a sore thumb and often matches the mod-provided flavor text describing the scum. Suppose, for a moment, that this were a "man vs. machine" game where humans are town and robots are scum. Don't you think a flavor claim that talks a lot about technological superiority would be suspicious in such a game?

So basically, i have to vote and stick with no matter what or im scum, makes perfect sense... I did indeed say CooLDoG was a bit VI and not to lynch, however my opinion has since changed as he appears to be trying to blame his nameclaim and soft PR claim on me putting pressure on him, which I did not do and had no intention of doing.

If your so great and wise, EC, what is the correct way for me to vote? On gut? On nothing conclusive? or on a genuine belief? Sure it might take me a little longer than those who have said x y and z quotes make you scum omg vote die die die, i like to have a good basis for my vote which i can support, whats wrong with that?

You also say I'm parroting, i dont think i am apart from the sanity check post i made, which CooLDoG made a nice job of smoothing over.

My flavor is a simple, KFC. That's it. A scum will come out and say:

. That's it. I think it is more of an issue with not claiming flavor then claim flavor. Additionally, all one has to do to get flavor claims is to Google "list of fast food chains" its not that difficult.

We have conflicting definitions of what flavor is then. You clearly consider "chain X, role Y" to constitute flavor, while I consider flavor to be the "fluff" that's used to give the role sense.

I consider blue and purple to be flavour; VT to be the role, the rest of the PM to be the technical explanation of the basic game structure and winning condition. In themed games, however, people tend to confuse alignment with role and role with flavour, and this can be dangerous. Cool claimed an alignment (town) and a flavour name.

I also agree with CoolDog that a scum would have invented a better flavour claim. Why stating you are unhealthy when you are not forced to? To fool a supposed flavour-cop? And how can he know if there is one? What if we have a role cop, or an alignment cop? And why claim with no provocation. I don't want to vote CoolDog at the present conditions. Let something new happen, I may naturally change my mind. But it must be something big.

I agree with lewarcher on what I'd consider to be flavour. However I think that Cooldog is blowing this all out of proportion. A fklip might just be "Burger King, VT" That hardly gives scum all the knowledge required for a fakeclaim.
