In fact in the same post where I unvoted you I explicitly stated "I need to re-read". I would say that is a reason.

Whatever though. I do not find that people always state the reasons they are unvoting someone - just when they place a vote on someone.

On a high hill above the encampment, hissing torches surround an empty bier. Mrs. Mrenica waves her cane in the air and sings an ancient song of summoning. Above her, carrion birds are gathering, an inky cloud of circling shadows that are only truly visible when they pass before the rising moon.

Kneeling before the bier, the ancient Kris saws diligently through flesh and bone. As a small crowd of mourners watches, he dismembers Beznik’s body and tosses each piece onto the platform. The crone’s song rises slowly, reaching a crescendo by the time her husband has completed his grizzly deed. As her frenzied voice breaks at its height, the vultures descend, the first of them snatching a morsel from Old Man Mrenica’s outstretched hand. The rest rush the bier, where they fight amongst themselves for a meal. Thus begins a cawing, flapping frenzy.

In the woods nearby, an agonized scream intrudes upon the ritual. There, fueled by ancient magic and the full moon, a transformation is occurring. A bent figure falls to its knees in the darkness. Muscles twist and grow, limbs and jaws elongate painfully, thick hair sprouts in bristles. Lycanthropy is not a pretty process, but it is a quick one. As the funeral party stands mesmerized, the beast rises and howls mournfully. Then it sniffs at the air and turns a hungry gaze on the humans.

The fortune teller is the only one who doesn’t recoil, but instead stands firm as the werewolf bursts from the trees and charges past. It moves with such speed that there is no time to run away; hits the crowd like a cannonball, knocking several aside and bearing down on Nuri.

Though she is the nimblest of the mourners, the lithe juggler can do nothing but shriek in terror as she is knocked to the ground. The strong hands of would-be saviors grasp the beast and manage to stay its jaws for a moment. Its fangs stand poised, inches from Nari’s face. Sticky drool christens her cheek, fetid breath makes her gag and choke. The beast snarls at its captors and then it shakes them from its sides as easily as water droplets. They tumble uselessly down the hill.

The werewolf cranes its neck and howls victoriously. Nuri shrieks one last time. The grim duet holds its note for a heartbeat as shocked onlookers stand by helplessly. Then the beast's jaws plunge and rend. Nuri’s voice becomes a gurgle and then nothing at all as she is torn apart mercilessly.

Stunned, the mourners watch a second dismemberment that is far quicker than the first. When it is sated, the beast rises with a gnawed arm grasped in its powerful jaws. It considers at the crowd briefly, sadly. Then it turns and scampers off into the night.

At the top of the hill, the carrion messengers await no invitation. They swoop down to pick over what the werewolf left behind, carrying Nuri back to the ancestors of their own accord.
