Normally I wouldn't think somebody quitting would be evidence either way either, however I feel like with Shotty this may be true. Especially since he noted time limitations as being his reason for backing out but at about the same time he signed up for two new games. I simply feel he lost interest.

OR MAYBE he decided it was time to jump off this sinking ship before he was lynched, which is something he'd probably do regardless of alignment. Point being, this shouldn't earn him any town points, or any scum points, since the probability he replaced as either is relatively the same. What should matter is the way his replacement, Lindisfarne, has filled his slot. Up to this point, Lind has made by far the most contribution to this game, so he passes (with an IGMEOY, of course).

I suppose it's not really indicative of his alignment, but I agree that lind seems to have done a good job of filling the spot and making contributions.
However there are still a few people who

aren't

contributing and it's tough with the holidays.

Potentially is the key word here. In a perfect world, multiple scum were on that lynch: it will make town's job easier to find them. I am personally hoping we find multiple scum were on that lynch, however, for the time being, I'm trying to play with the mindset that there was only one. And trying to find that one, when several people on that lynch are inherently scummy, isn't easy.

I might agree with you since he's a newer player, but I still don't trust this as a town point of his. He could have just as easily be setting himself up to look like town.

I really doubt it. If he was clever enough to purposefully and actively do something like that, I would imagine it to be more...blatant. Hell, the comment we're referring to could possibly even be taken as scummy if someone didn't look too deep into it. It's probability. Judging Striker's intelligence, I doubt this would be some super intelligent ploy to appear town. (No offense intended at all striker).

For the record, emphasizing that you're town doesn't make you look any more town. It just means you're making extra sure to throw little "townie" comments in, which isn't indicative of either alignment (personally, I find it a little scummy since it means you're putting emphasis on

The scum would bring it up first because otherwise it's too obscure a connection to count. In the event that you flip town and the main reason for your lynch was the connection to yabba, yes, the main wagoners would be highly suspect (they probably would be anyway). However, this is all

I don't think they would necessarily bring it up either, it could have just been the way they chose the kill. I've done that as scum not knowing if it was going to work or not, either way, I wouldn't bring it up.

You seem afraid to give an opinion. You've given a weak opinion of chkflip and a fading scum read on shotty/Lind. I keep ISOing you, and I can't find a single strong opinion anywhere, except that you think Andrew's a VI.

Eloquent writing and wall posting aren't really town tells. It's just that scum often don't put forth the same effort they do as when they're town, and as such it gives the appearance of being town. Don't confuse quantity with quality, or quality with good logic. If you think what Lind is spouting is bullshit, then speak up and argue for yourself. His wall posts aren't dense with impervious arguments, as much time as he spends on them. I personally disagree with roughly half of what he says, generally speaking.

I say all of this to encourage you to defend yourself if you are town. What I neglected to tell in that little speech of mine was that most of his main points against you are the reasons you're very high on my scum list. It's not that he writes well, it's that crap like this is hard to ignore, and now, despite only having a single vote against you, you're refusing to provide content and insight in a game devoid of it. Keep in mind, I'm mostly ignoring the whole yabba conspiracy theory, which you threw a fit over. This entire game, your contribution has been in the form of petty defenses and random/bandwagon votes. I don't see anything you've done to contribute to a lynch or any of the arguments thereof. You've actively lurked with only a couple strategically placed votes to your name, and to top it all off, you think that ignoring and dismissing everything we have to say about you is a valid strategy.
