Fugitive, you're playing differently as well this game. Certainly not like your angry-town-meta, but not quite like your usual scum-meta. Just something to mention - this doesn't really make you more townie or less scummy or
whatever
, but I'm not the only one playing differently here.

Wasn't trying to make a case on you or anything either, Fugi. I was genuinely confused by your post. And I'm not "trying to build cases on everyon"e, despite how this looks.

Hell, even I don't know what's up with my playstyle change. This game is causing me to lose my mafia-related grip on sanity.
Fugitive wrote: I just read this whole damn game and I already feel like I need to reread.
I keep second guessing everything.
It seems like every player has a really scummy and really townie side.
This, so fucking much this, especially the bolded.

Watching mafia concepts thought up by good players mindlessly regurgitated by bad players is the funniest thing.
I agree, and thanks for the compliment. I like to think I came up with a pretty effective tell there. I hate it when noobs copy my ideas.

Umbrage admits in 410 (I think) that he did a good job of pulling a wagon off of 3K, and since I'm finding him more scummy, I'm also finding 3K more scummy by comparison.
*facepalm*

Read my post again. That was something I expected to take heat for, and was surprised when I didn't.
Does Umbrage pushing so hard of fur look like an early bus to anyone else? I just feel like the case lacks substance but it's being pushed so hard that he's disregarding every other player. That, and Umbrage seems eager to go with anyone as evidenced by the somewhat random Fur vote then the willingness to switch to Tk.
This has so much wrong with it I don't know where to begin...

OK, here's a start, HOW THE HELL CAN I 'RANDOM' VOTE SOMEONE I'VE BEEN 'TUNNELING' ON?

Read me in ISO, I think you'll find that I've done a pretty fair job of covering other players. I was the FIRST one to draw attention to sorasgoof.

*******

For the record, I don't like how Fugitive has been hiding behind his softclaim. He's been spreading suspicion without calling scum. He hasn't addressed my earlier concerns AT ALL.
I'll explain it to you. You have to get someone else to understand it for you.

How have I not called scum, Umbrage? It's quite clear who I think is scum. Probably more clear than anyone else, there's a nice color coordinated list thats quite similar to my reads now just a few pages back. And what concerns haven't I addressed of yours? Enlighten me and I'll do so next post.

As for calling the vote random; it did come out of nowhere. You tunneled me for a few pages then suddenly started ignoring me right up to the point where I voiced suspicion, then I guess I became interesting again. After ignoring me a couple posts, BAM furcolow vote. Seemed random to me.

Just letting you guys know, but I start school tomorrow. Meaning updates will come generally around the same time. However I will usually not have access on Wednesdays. If you guys hit deadline without a lynch, you can continue voting and the like until I make the official night start post. If you lynch someone between deadline and when I come on, I will treat it as a lynch.

Also, deadline is in two days.

I don't want to lynch sora and I don't wan't to lynch furc.
I would be happy with a tk lynch, and I would join a cyberbob lynch.
I could probably also be convinced to join an umbrage or ortiz lynch at deadline if needed to.

Because a) for him to be correct I would need to be on a scumteam with half the goddamn game (as just about that many people have been vaguely dismissal of me) b) he's just trying to underhandedly load more suspicion onto me in lieu of an actual case or whatever and c) funny third thing

ok with the strong caveat that nothing is set in stone especially given that it's day 1 and we don't have any reliable information to look at

ortiz/umbrage/koopa most likely scumteam atm imo, maybe pie in there instead of koopa (I'm assuming 3 scum) given his really really pathetically obvious attempts to build cases on all and sundry while playing the "oh ho ho i'm so lost and confused~" schtick but koopa has been pretty bad as well so idk

closest thing I have to a town read is on thadmiral I guess but nobody has really impressed me so far

Fur's play is confusing the shit out of me right now, but Umbrage "jumping on the wagon" (actually confirming his vote, since he was already voting fur... he doesn't even know where his vote is ffs) due to a claim and fur's 481 really rubs me the wrong way. Between the two, Fur seems like the worse lynch. Maybe it's the WIFOM of him claiming miller and offering himself as lynch bait, I don't know. But between the two, I'd rather have Umbrage, and 496 isn't helping my opinion of him.

3K/Fur/Umbrage are at 3 votes each by my count. I'm gonna go read Umbrage in ISO before I think about switching to him, but I'm really leaning towards it. We'll see in the next RL hour or so.

I skimmed through his ISO and didn't find much... but then I noticed in ISO 34/Post 379, Umbrage basically has a way out for almost all of his reads.

oritz: calls him town, but says he's "trying to see the case on him". Could be used later by saying "Well, I see the case on him now!"
Cyberbob: calls him lurking town, but "wouldn't weep at his lynch". Self-explanatory imo.
TheAdmiral: calls him out for lurking, but mostly a nullread. Says there's bigger fish to fry. Could be used later by saying "He's been lurking", or something to that effect, plus the "fish to fry" statement gives off a vibe similar to the statement about Cyberbob.
chamber: says he possible scum due to gut. Could be used later by saying "Gee, I just knew he was scum" or something.
Fur: calls him anti-town for being a VI and not improving his play. Says he's scum if el simo is scum. Wouldn't be too hard to fall back on the VI thing as reasoning.
el simo: calls him impatient scum, also notes the furcolow connection. Since Umbrage thinks he's scum, it's easy to use this as a reason for voting later.
Pie: casts suspicion on me with the 3k->soras and "buddying" thing. Says we need more info of alignment. Can fall back on the former as reasoning later.
soras: was voting him at the time, self-explanatory
Olinea: "Probably the person I suspect the least. Therefore, I suspect him." ...
3K: Gut town read. Can be dismissed in the same way a gut scum read can be elaborated on.
TL: says his posts are bullshit. Plus null-read. Can use the former as basis voting for the replacement.

Aside from having some sort of possible backdoor for every read he has, there's this:
Umbrage wrote:Soras, that thing you said about explaining why these arguments are bullshit is a VERY good thing to do. Because right now I want you lynched, and it will take more than "this is utter bullshit" to change my mind.
Soras never explained anything, yet Umbrage switches to Fugi with a terrible reason (and then votes fur later) and PRETTY MUCH NEVER MENTIONS SORAS AGAIN. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SCUMREAD? Instead, he latches on to fur as opposed to Thirdkoopa once the 3K wagon gains steam.

On that note,
FoS: soras
for not adding anything to discussion in his recent posts, or explaining why our attacks on him were bad like he promised. He can go tomorrow, or 3K can go tomorrow, but I really don't care about that right now.

I am not liking the fact that Umbrage calls 3K "gut-read town", sways the wagon off of 3K to soras (which I admittedly joined, yes), and when it's between 3K and fur he pushes fur like crazy. If 3K is scum, so is Umbrage, but it's completely possible that Umbrage is scum without 3K being scum. Combine all this with what I noticed about his reads and his IMO highly suspicious confirm vote on fur, plus his attempt at outing a softclaim (and voting the softclaimer to try and get a wagon started on them, lols):

Unvote, Vote: Umbrage

To elaborate on why the soras thing is suspicious: He swung the wagon to soras, then when 3K's wagon started gaining steam again, he "forgot" about his confidence in soras and is now pushing the "easy lynch" in Fur. It's like he was trying to distract the town from what 3K was doing (or wasn't doing, depending on your view), then dropped soras for the next best thing/the easy lynch when his wagon wouldn't take off.
