My play style is generally pretty aggressive, but apparently you more experienced players both scum and town do much less that implies scum to me, and so I haven't seen much of it. It didn't help that this game started on Thursday and I was pretty busy since Friday morning until now, and have only had time to really thoroughly read through until now, most of which has been about me not doing anything. For the record, I don't believe in V/LAing unless you're really incapable of posting, that wasn't the case with me, quality posting apparently was. I understand that people have different opinions about this, those are just mine.

As I've said I've played in 2 newbie games, one is still ongoing. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link that one. In this one: http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopi ... 11&t=15644 I died N1, I doubt it will be helpful.

I guess I'm sorry for having tried to post at all, as opposed to just waiting until now, which I guess would have been better? I don't really know. I know I'm a newb and don't expect any special treatment or what not, but what I find really bothersome is that I only barely understand what I actually did. Or perhaps it's just what I didn't do. Either way, I don't really have anything to work with to improve, so what's the point?

BTW: Reck's a jerk, and I refuse to play with him. Hope to see you never.

Yeah, we certainly wouldn't want to encourage newer players to make the leap from Newbie games to Mini Normals.

That reads scum to you? It reads "Not playing anymore" to me. You read like an opportunist jumping on an endorsed bandwagon after a frustrated response by a newer player.

I get it, I get it, being new to the game isn't an excuse for scummy behavior. But the case against Steven Hacking is almost tautological at this point. He's been fluff-posting, sure. So have at least three other specific players who are skating by. He fingered a few of them, though not necessarily for that reason. Other than everyone shouting for sordos's head (for no reason that was ever stated), what else has there been to comment on except for the blind aggression displayed by Reck, Parama, and DavidParker? Literally the only other thing that has been happening is the wagon against him - which he surely commented on - and Reckamonic himself even said:

We never said it was a strong case - but it's something we find scummy, and that's all we have to go on right now.

So to "comment on your case" instead of just thanking you for it: it's weak sauce.

Should we bother to keep Steven alive? A replacement at this point in the game won't have much to go on in way of defense, and it seems much more likely that someone'll just throw the hammer out now that Zodiark put him at L-1. I don't know what the right answer is. But I'm not going to join in on such a weak bunch of collective back-patting, and I'm not going to be in the least surprised when/if Steven flips town.

However, I do think, Bill, that you are wrong in your read of Stephen. He does seem more like flailing scum to me as he just kept piling on excuse after excuse after excuse.

After he’s well and truly dead, you search his pockets and clothes. After all you find is a wallet with 4 bucks and a picture of his high school girlfriend in it, you realize how dumb he would have to be to bring any Mafia-related items with him. You all travel to his house to check it out

Once you've informed his wife and seven kids of his death (and subsequently kicked them out due to all the damned racket they were making) you search his abode. In his closet, you find a gun, a stack of counterfeit bills, and 4 kilos of marijuana. After some discussion, you decide that he’s probably mafia.

You return to the town square. The MOD’s voice (which is deep, resounding, manly, and other impressive adjectives) tells you all that, in fact,

You all wake up the next morning, grateful to be awake. You eat a tasty breakfast and walk down to the town square, ready to lynch yourself some more scum!

You get there, and there’s a quick head count. 10. Huh… That’s odd. Maybe the other 2 are just running late… best to go check.

You head to neil1113’s house, and find him in a

dead

sleep. (My apologies for the terrible pun.) Blood covers his sheets; he was shot during the night. You all do a quick search: you find nothing suspicious about him. He does have some pretty good pornos under the mattress, but you’re pretty sure that’s not indicative of mafia connections.

You then travel to Reckamonic’s abode. He’s dead, smothered with his own pillow. You find a whole bunch of stuff that would let me make overdone-but-still-funny gay jokes. Additionally, you find a hoodwink, a robe, and a certificate of membership to the local masonry.

You all return to the town square, awaiting MOD’s confirmation of your findings.

Badly played scum. neil was going to be the one who I went against today. Now I have no case. And Reck? That's just mean.

On that note, either scum or our second killer(unless he is a vig) is obviously a noob to get rid of Reck. Noob scum often target the most experienced players.

I need to re-read to find someone else to go after, but one thing is for sure; A lynch on page 6, hitting scum or not, is scum driven.
