note that roles can double up.

I don't think there is a way to break the game with a massclaim just yet, but I will think on this further.

Mod, assuming n=2, are roles paired randomly or in order (in order meaning investigation with protection, killing with roleblocking, tracking with being neighbor, and just neighbor)?


Pretty sure I answered this D1, but the role list was randomised prior to assignment.

It appears I was misguided before. Chaotic obviously decided he was going to joke vote his scumbuddy and looked for a reason in the avatar.

ThAd spent Day 1 avoiding the Chesskid lynch like the plague, but never really going out of his way to redirect the lynch.

Day 2, he comes right out and attacks the Chesskid voters. It's like he wanted Chess lynched, but kept his hands clean. Then Day 2, he wants to test the waters to see whose hands have the most rope burn. He lands on me, but I come back with a case on Akira and chkflip. ThAd chooses Akira (chkflip is ThAd's scumbuddy) and runs with that. So he piggybacks off of somebody who he thought was scum. I don't buy that.

Also, looking at our flipped scum, ThAd only mentions Chaotic in jokes (twice) and only mentions Chevre after the scum flip.

The guy's scum. Let's do this.

An interesting way to twist things. You could also say I was being consistent with my day 1 dislike of the wagon. The only reason I didn't "go out of my way to redirect it" is I thought there would at least be a claim and some discussion before someone hammered.

You came back with a good case and what looked to be some genuine scum-hunting which changed my perspective of you. I note that you didn't have any problems with me "piggybacking" your case yesterday. Why only bring it up now?

Lol, flat out lie. I mentioned him multiple times near the end of day 2. I even called him out on avoiding choosing between akira and chkflip.

@ Andrew: I've had a think about it as well and I'm not sure we can break the game at this point, although certain variations of the distribution of roles I believe would allow us to.
It's quite the mind-tingling logic puzzle. I'm still working on it though so there may be a way yet.

Thad, it was clear that the wagon had steam and momentum behind it. You can't blame an early hammer for the fact that you weren't saying much about the other votes piling on.

I didn't mention the piggybacking yesterday because I was dead set convinced that you were town. And I was in the mindset that the Chaotic-Akira connection was pretty strong, so saying something that might derail that lynch wouldn't have been good.

Oh, I missed that on Chevre. My bad.

Not sure why I thought we had 2 more scum lol. WTF.

By the way,
I am either not the inspector, or haven't recieved a guilty yet.
. Everyone should say that in their next post or claim a guilty. If we have a guilty, we lynch them for the win.

@mod: it says on the OP that scum by default gets 1 ability out of 'inv immune, bulletproof, roleblock'

but if scum have no abilties out of 'kill track neighbour neighbour protect roleblock inspect' then they get all 3???
or just 2???

Whether they gain any depends on the distribution of the main set of roles. With an element of chance. Not default either. Only default if Scum don't gain anything from the base set.

Thad, any gamebreakers basically rely on chance and assumptions.

For example, if our inspecter has two innocents still living, and our protecter is town, the vig, inspecter, and protecter could claim. Then if the innocents are unclaimed, we lynch the remaining player. If they are claimed, we choose between the unclaimed players. The vig shoots the claimed inspecter, thus confirming two players who hopefully don't include him. The protecter protects the vig. We end up with probably a confirmed vig and hopefully another confirmed player so we can lynch scum for the win. However this assumes our inspecter has living innocent results and we have a town protecter.

I think the setup is well designed to avoid breakage before a massclaim. The only way to actually break it seems to be to massclaim and hope everything works in our favor, which I'd rather not do. Let's at least make sure no one is holding on to a guilty before we decide our next move.
