Cold War Mafia

A deeply flawed historical mafia event.

Location

: A undisclosed location

Time

: An unspecific point during the cold war

Somewhere and somewhen somebody decided to end this game of thermonuclear chicken. Twenty four figures of varying importance who may or may not have even lived at the same time are somehow brought together to find a peaceful solution to a diplomatic conflict that threatens to possibly begin to consume countless lives. Not everyone wants peace though. Amongst your number are individuals who would rather see this cold war turn hot. Maybe they stand to profit from open conflict, maybe they think it's the only way for their way of life to continue or maybe they're just bored. If these talks are ever going to succeed you must band together and expunge yourselves of these agitators. Expunge them with bullets, ropes, lead pipes, or candlesticks if that's all you have handy. First war, then peace. Then punch and pie.

However after you hang the poor bunnylover you realize you have made an epic mistake. Inside his pocket you find a small peace symbol. Hmm... Looks like you got this one wrong. No time to dwell on it now, it's time to head back to your rooms and go to sleep.... If you can.

Night was long and restless and the dawn brings no relief. You all stumble into the main area of the bunker to find two dead bodies.

The first is poor

RedCoyote

. Sat slumped in a big leather chair, his face swollen and blood leaking out of his eyes. His hand is clasped tightly around a glass of water, clearly he was poisoned.

The second body is that of

LlamaFluff

. Laying face down with a pool of blood around his head from the single gun shot wound to the right side of his head.

Quiet mummers ripple though the group when suddenly you realize that another person is missing.

Hohum

is no longer in the bunker, seems like he has been removed in the night.

This is not a good start to the day at all...

On the subject of Sathrois PMing members of the game, I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that there is no talking about his game outside of the thread. In this case it seems the PMs were non game related (if this is wrong please PM me ASAP) and so no rule has been broken. Still, contacting players you are playing with is generally frowned upon because it is opening the door for out of thread game manipulation. Which is not cool.

So consider this a warning, with the notion that all PMing activity stops and if it is brought up again in game, steps will be taken.

Day dawns and you all gather in the middle of the bunker to find two dead bodies. The first one is the slumped form of

, who is sat in a leather chair his face a big puffy mess, blood leaking out the corner of his mouth. But before you get too sad about his death a quick search reveals that he was in fact J Edgar Hoover, US Mafia Jailkeeper. Nice!

However, the second body doesn't bring good news. It belonged to

who is sprawled out, face down in a pool of his own blood in the middle of the room his peace symbol clutched tightly in his hands.

was tired and weary. This ordeal had gone on long enough and to be fair, he

was

sick of living on this God awful planet. After seeing the stars up close, nothing else in this life could ever come close to satisfying him. Every day he sat and watched these loud, annoying sacks of meat debate about who was good and who was bad, who was this and who was that.... It was just all white noise to him, the posturing becoming completely pointless in the grand universal scheme. Every other night he would chose whoever's voice was the most annoying and dumped them out of the bunker door just to ease his own headache. But still it didn't help... It

never

helped. These men sit around a big oak table posturing like Gods, deciding who lives and dies like they should have that power... Pathetic.

Today it just became too much to handle.

Before anyone could say anything, bvoigt walked up to the noose and put his head though. With minimal help, he hung himself. The room was silent, everyone reflecting on his sacrifice. The question now becomes.... Will it be worth it?

For once, night came quick to the bunker. After bvoigt's sacrifice

PeregrineV

went to bed with a heavy heart. Was he really the only remaining good guy? The thought sent shivers though his body. After double checking his door was locked, PeregrineV finally laid down to get some rest. He slept fitfully as nightmare figures chased him though his dreams. In the middle of the night he awoke with a start, there was a noise somewhere.... He heard it, he was sure he did. Sat up in bed he strains to listen though the darkness when.... BANG!

That sounded like it came from the room right next to him. Turning on his light he slips out of bed and walks to the door. His head is telling him to run and hide, but his instincts want to find out what is happening. With a shaky hand, he unlocks his door, turns the handle and slowly, sooo slowly eases it open just a crack. The lights are still on in the corridor which helps Peregrine tell that the corridor seems to be empty. He sighs with relief, a weight lifted off his shoulders. Maybe he just dreamed the noise.

Feeling better he pushes open the door and actually steps out into the corridor, clearly a mistake. Melting out of the shadows down the long hallway is

Lowell

. Without hesitation he raises his gun in one fluid motion and pulls the trigger shooting poor PeregrineV in the back of the head. Lowell watches him crumple to the ground before turning and walking silently away. This was almost becoming too easy, he thought to himself. He can't wait until he sees the look of shock on Fonz's face tomorrow when he pulls his gun on him and shoots him dead in the middle of the bunker. It will be glorious!

Feeling smug and accomplished, Lowell pushes his door open and walks into his room, setting his gun down on the bedside table. He doesn't see

The Fonz

who slides out from behind the door grinning from ear to ear. In his hand is a needle and he steps right up to Lowell and before he even notices anything, Fonz slips it into his neck. Lowell rounds on Fonz but it's already too late, the poison took a hold quickly and his knees buckle before he falls to the floor, blood pouring out of his eyes.

The Fonz just smiles and watches as Lowell spams once before dying. Last man standing... He always knew it could come down to this. However he never knew just how satisfying it could be...

I normally post QTs right away, but seeing as this isn't actually my game I'll let each group decide if they want to post their link or not.

I know there are several issues that I'm sure people want to discuss (role pm wording, black lister, strange win cons and so on) so have at it. A big giant thank you to all the people who replaced in, I really appreciate it. Soo much.

Also I big thank you to Andrius and Zachrulez who became my back up mods once I took over and who I bugged a lot I'm sure.

I don't know if the neighbor PMs were wrote in that way on purpose or if it was a mistake. When that was all going down, the people I spoke too seemed to think it wasn't such a big deal because of East-Germany's presence in the Soviet union. So I don't know...
