why did CES get 100M for 2 seats? Drench & Werewolf should have had more really. :/

I should really read these proposals xp

I guess I don't understand this game. Why would Drench agree to this proposal?

Well not really. Basically we're all even again if you refuse and the pot rolls over (and you'd be ahead of folks who paid more for campaigning), but you're getting $20 on a $60 investment if you accept.

Anyway, just my take. Could be I'm just jealous  .

Anyway, even though I'm losing, this is a great concept for a game.

I've been thinking about how to run this with party preferences (aka assign all parties "right", "left", "center-left" or something like that in a way that priveleges certain kinds of coalitions over others), but can't quite think of a way to make it work as smoothly as this. Any ideas?

Just idle chit-chat while I await my one seat in the new parliament.

Also,
mod
, I'd like to change my name to the
FACEPUNCH Party
. It feels luckier.

Aha, but I have $20m more than I would have had. It all fits into the Sex Party's Grande Strategye.

But if you had refused it, and waited for next round, you could have had far more money.

Sure.

Election results to come shortly. Any suggestions on improving the game are welcome.

Gradually, the funds of each party are seeping away. Each round is becoming more and more crucial to survival.

Spoiler: How much extra everybody spent campaigning

Pot:
$220m

Reminder: You need at least
16
/30 seats in Parliament to form a successful coalition, but you must also have an
unanimous
agreement on how to divide the pot. The smallest denomination of money that you may use is $1m.

You may communicate via PM or this topic.

Drench, gandalf5166, TonyMontana and werewolf555 all have funds of $0m left. As such, they
must
get at least $20m out of this round or face going bankrupt.

I will have this round run for 4 days*. Communication must cease at 10pm, Friday 28 February (GMT). Then, you must PM me your coalition proposal by 10pm, Sunday 20 February.

* Unfortunately, I am V/LA from Sunday to Thursday. Any ideas on how to work around this are welcome. I will be asking for temporary/possibly permanent co-mods but other alternatives may be possible.

I accidently closed the tab which had the randomized list in, so I am unable to post it up this round.
This won't happen in future. I swearz it.

Also, please ensure in future that you have enough money to spend how much you want to campaigning. Gandalf wanted to spend $20m more than he had.

Take out yabba and replace it with me. :D

yabba could potentially betray you guys, whereas I HAVE to go along with it. I can be trusted, yabba can't. Not to mention everybody gets more money when yabba isn't being a douche and taking it all for himself like he deserves just as much as Zang.

Then I'll dissolve Zang and take a 3 along. But that's adding people unnecessarily.

I'm not going to betray a deal which gives me 3-4 more rounds.

I will note that the parties in danger together hold 11 seats.

This is quite the bloc, gentlemen. I for one will not allow myself to be taken advantage of.

You're a beggar, Drench. If you swat away an offer that keeps you in the game, then you're done. You have no power.

All that is required is someone that is willing to earn money instead of failing to control through electoral bullying. I think there is at least one of these people amongst the 19 seats that remain. I don't wish to overstep my grounds here: after all, every party in danger is an entity unto themselves and has their own mind, but if I were controlling 11 seats by myself, then I would have no problem in taking my business to someone who does not wish to leave this election empty-handed.

zang (5)- $80
Lowell (4)- $60
gandalf (2)- $40

There, I can do this better than yabba this round. I'll buy you guys another round AFTER this one and get zang more money. VERY good for all of us.

...by the way, how have we gone three rounds without saying realpolitik?

As for your offer, Lowell, I (for obvious reasons) am more comfortable with it than I am with yabba's offer.

Yah just want to make sure zang is in. No reason to make this more complicated than it needs to be. If we can get this done with four players, we should.
