This will be my second game on this site. I have played forum mafia before, though it's been months since I've played the games that haven't been on this site.
1. Maybe about 10. Can't quite remember
2. I am age 16.
3. I would rather pull scum, I find being deceptive and misleading is more fun than playing "morally-straight" town.
4. Right now, my biggest suspicion is Nachomamma8 since he is just putting his vote around so quickly with minor pretense.Give me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

The first game I played on this site, joke posts became a major problem for me. I understand your ideas, but I wouldn't pay to much heed to joke posts unless you can glean nothing else from the serious posts. This game started off with a bunch of jokes and the way I see it the jokes just went in the direction of him joking about being scum.Give me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

First game I played, votes were pretty much thrown around on weak evidence and it led to two mislynches on the first 2 days (me being one of them) on top of the mafia killings. I just want to be careful and not let the same thing happen. Though, if that's how the game is played, let's give it a try.

Thanks for the clarification, I understand the method a bit better now. Though I think L-1 is a bit much if you want someone to answer questions, I feel like it would be easy to panic a little and drop some bad tells.Nachomamma8 wrote: The reason why we put votes in the earlier stages with so little evidence is because true scumtells are only dropped while a suspect is under pressure. As a result, reads are far clearer, and we have a better idea of whether that person giving us bad vibes is scum or not.Give me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

All I'm seeing on each of these posts is people posting absolute filler. We may as well start over for all that's going on.
Traveller, please remind me of why your vote is on KoH.
I don't put much effort into looking at claims. You can lie and no one would be able to tell unless the role exists on some other player. So no mafia would claim cop or doc for the stupid risk of it.Give me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

I think he was just trying to put some kind of pressure on people to answer questions (though when ever he did put a vote on somebody there was a complete lack of questions to them on his part) or maybe to provoke a slip up. It was almost surprising play considering it was from an IC, and I don't think it accomplished much of anything.Herodotus wrote:@Thil13:
What do you believe Nacho was trying to accomplish by moving his vote around so much at the beginning of the game?
Do you have any opinion on pandabear putting King at L-1 in post 68?
For your second question, I think it was somewhat appropriate considering KoH's actions up to that point, though I do somewhat disagree with using L-1 just to get answers out of someone. I have my opinions on L-1 pressure based on the first game I played on this site where such a position was an extremely deadly spot to be at.Give me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

I think it would have been better asking the questions at the same time as the vote instead of just placing the vote and expecting a reaction. I would classify it as null, I don't think it really points to any alignment. I didn't get much out nacho's questions, and I can't say for sure if anyone else did, but perhaps.Herodotus wrote:I see Nacho asking questions of each person he voted, though sometimes not in the same post. Why are you surprised to see him using pressure to get people to answer questions? Do you think this is scum or town behaviour?
Do you think anyone (including you or Nacho) developed a better understanding of who is scum and who is town as a result of Nacho?
...
It doesn't look to me like Panda was trying to get answers out of King.
On a related note, what do you think of bristep123?
Would you like to lynch Traveller? Nacho? Me? Someone else?
What do you think it was, in your judgment?pandabear wrote:But Grey also pointed this out which I was about to mention: I posted a similar "final defense." Either that's a town tell from both of us, or he's riding off of my argument again.
At the time king was slow to answer questions and would take several reminders to answer them so I see it as a way to prod him into doing so.
I don't really have any opinion on bristep, or anyone else for that matter.
Right now I'm just trying to figure out who to lynch. I'm sure you would agree the lack of activity doesn't help.
It was probably coincidental , but I'm not so good at reading between the lines, there may have been an ulterior motive other than self preservation.
So, I assume your intense questioning of me means you think I'm scum?Give me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

sorry guys, just not in the mood for mafia as of late. A lot of stuff going down, but I have been paying attention to the thread if only a little.
I'm not really comfortable with hammering anyone at the moment, I still feel a lot of uncertainty, but it is time for D1 to finish. It's just been going on too longGive me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

I'm sorry guys, I just haven't been in the mood for mafia as of late.
I'm not really sure, though all I've done so far is skim the thread. I'll get back to you on that. I am also a He, so now you can stop referring to me as "them" It's kind of weird...tarsonis wrote:thil13: What are you reads on people now? Yesterday you claimed to be null on everyone, has that changed? If so why and if not why not?
Again, I'm sorry.Hero wrote:Thil13: I'm not sure whether you're town or scum, but you've been playing in a way that doesn't get you involved in the game. When townies play that way, the town is sure to lose.
I don't think there was much to be learned while everyone was focusing on just the two wagons, but I feel that if there was a lynch, we could focus on the votes that led to the lynch and maybe glean something from that.Nacho8 wrote:thil13:
In ISO #15, you talk about being uncertain of who's scum, but still wanting the day to end. Why was it time to end the day if there was more to be learned?
Do you have a top suspect now?
I'm still not quite comfortable with a vote out. I've seen lazy votes go to something that doesn't help at all, and I want to be completely sure what I'm doing when I do lay down my vote.Grey wrote:@Thil13: Is there anything you want to do with your vote? Anything you find scummy? Any candidates for lynch? Anyone you find town?
I'll try to be more active, but I can't make many promises, RL comes first.Give me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

sorry again guys. Just mafia isn't a big priority.
Hero, I see you asking a lot of questions, but you haven't made a case on anybody. Why is that? Are you not garnering anything from people's answers, or are you just using those questions to make it look like you are scum hunting?Give me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

Seriously. Of any thing that he's presented, what has come of it?
Also, there are more options than just lynch, if you think someone is town, don't vote for them for any reason because that guarantees that the town will be hurt. If we don't come to a consensus by the deadline the only thing that happens is that we have a no lynch, and we only lose one person to night kill, instead of two counting the mislynch. There was certainly better choices herod could have madeGive me three steps, gimme three steps, mister-

Welcome... I don't really like this game, I think I won't be doing anymore newbie games, it's just too monotonous for me.
Everything I said previously stands firm, but I am willing to give Hero a chance and go with his logic. If Nacho flips town, I will be even more suspicious of Hero.
