1) How many games of mafia have you played before?
- 0

2) What age are you?
- Probably about the age of most of your parents. Let's leave it at that.

3) Would you rather pull town or scum, and why?
- Isn't it always more fun to play the villian?

4) Whose your strongest suspicion at this point?
- Not sure. Keeping my vote with GreyICE at this point.

You could, but what benefit does that provide the town?

Without Equinox there to make us fight to the death we could make an alliance with the mafia? 50% of all town revenue goes to them and in return they don't kill us and eat our eyes?

Hey guys, lets try and keep it on the rails.

There's some serious attempts to derail stuff going on here, and we're still not hearing from some people. What's the last thing Bristep posted?

Hectic weekend GreyICE, I usually can't be as active weekends as I can during the week.

1) I've completed 4 games on Mafiascum, and 3 on another forum. Currently involved in 3 games in Mafiascum and 1 on another forum.
2) Not as old as wiseguy by the looks of things, but old enough to feel old compared to the twentysomethings.
3) I seem to find it easier to play scum, but I'd rather be town to learn get experience looking for reads.
4) I think the derail comment by GreyICE is valid, I know that we should keep it light and not get into too much of a heated argument but too light and the game starts to grind to a halt. I'd say Traveller because of the aloofness is likely to be town, scum would be more guarded than he seems to be (unless he's being *really* cocky). tarsonisocelot raised an eyebrow on my radar (yes it has eyebrows) because she was the first player to specifically say "I am a townie".

What time-zone is everybody in? I'd like to know what time I can expect activity from this game. I am at GMT-5. I'll try and do something more important later today.

Since not too much seems to be going on in this game so far I'll attempt to build a case.

FOS: Panda

In the beginning of the game panda seemed one of the most eager to play because he voted the person who took too long to confirm, in order to let out his frustration. In response to question three (would you rather pull scum or town?) he responds in favor of scum. This leads me too believe he would be anxious and excited to start to play if he pulls scum, which is how he acted at the beginning of this game.

I want a radar with eyebrows! I'll also try mor to keep my distractibility out of my posts.
Also in the only other game I have played, posting that you were a townie once, or in every post, was done by several people and not doing it was seen as supicious (but sw was non-participation the nose game). The first mislynch that game came when one townie decided to post "I am mafia" as a joke.

I'm in AEST so that's approximately GMT+10 I think.

Anyway, something about Traveller bugs me. It might be the way they said "Isn't it always more fun to play the villain?" to answer the do you prefer to be town or scum. Or it could be the general tone.
At this stage in the game that's enough for me.

Just trying to keep the conversation lively. If that means I'm first to be lynched, so be it! :D

tarsonisoscelot: By way of explanation, my son is a budding thespian and always seems to get cast as the villain (Ryan in "High School Musical", Bennie in "Rent", etc.). He has much more fun playing the bad guy than the virtuous leading man and it shows in his work.

King of Harolds: Sometimes, those who are most observant are looking for a bit of mischief. Are you hoping others are watching my behavior rather than yours? Could be, so:

@Sn1pe29 My excitement to start was for the fact that this is my first game, so I was excited to start regardless what I pulled.
--
I too am still suspicious of King of Harolds because he seems to do the most suspicious actions so far:

First, he RVS votes GreyIce and then, after Traveller is RVSed, he is the first to jump bandwagon and switch votes to Traveller. Now at this point, I thought you were trying to start action and "test" Traveller to see if he really is suspicious when put on a potential bandwagon spot.

I have recently learned that I have some Sicilian friends who are not Mafiosi. You're out of this for now, Traveller...

4) I don't have any strong suspicions at all right now, but I have a slight one on Nachomamma. I know we should be getting serious, but he pulled out of RVS a little too early for my tastes. RVS is useful for getting some offbeat info in. But it's small.
Seeing as the bandwagon was going to be unsuccessful, KoH tries for another player, this time the IC. Now, prior to this, Nacho votes on KoH. So he OMGUSed--without realizing it?
King of Harolds wrote: @Grey: Ha, I barely even noticed I had OMGUSed until now. Of course you don't really have a reason to believe me on that one, but I really didn't.
At first I was fine with this, I assumed he just skimmed over Nacho's post since it was so short, but town or scum (more in the case you are scum) isn't it pretty obvious to notice when they are voted by someone, especially since it is in bolded text? His "suspicion" on Nacho seemed like a defensive OMGUS move and an offensive move to try and put the suspicion on the stronger player and keep himself out of Nacho's and everyone's eyes.
King of Harolds wrote: Traveller's behavior is peaking my interest. Keeping an eye on him, anyways.
Now I may post later about Traveller (I think he is too nonchalant about his jokes of being scum to be actual scum), but either KoH has a really strong read on Traveller or he is switching just to try and cover for his slip-up of not realizing his OMGUS on Nacho and also building a misleading case on someone else.

big post from pandabear trying to justify putting KoH to L-1 so early is now the scummiest action of the game so far.

@bristep: regardless if he was L-2 prior to my post, I had a FOS on him in the first place. I figured you or Nacho would unvote anyways to thoroughly analyze my post and really consider if KoH should be lynched, but I still stand that KoH seems scummiest out of anyone. The fact that you would vote me because of my analysis makes it seem as though maybe you are scum with KoH or you are trying to hinder any kind of scum-hunting from happening.

That's weak reasoning panda, you voted him to L-1 because you thought someone might have unvoted? What if we didn't get to it before someone else waded in and hammered?

And another thing I often see as a scumtell is misrepresentation. I didn't vote for you simply because of your analysis. I voted for you because you sent someone to L-1 so early into the game with a fairly weak looking case to try and justify it.

I still stand by my statement that you have now made the scummiest action so far, and the misrep and what looks to me like very forced justification ("I had a FOS on him in the first place" "I figured you or Nacho would unvote") adds to that.
