huh, chk, you are posting your setup here for discussion or what?

There are conventional names for roles... you are using them improperly and I don't understand why. Are Alpha WW and GF inv immune or not? If not, what is their power in this last version of your game?

I am simply unable to understand if you want to do a mafia + werewolves game, implying that the investigative roles should be separated, or a double-mafias game... in other words, you just want on of your scum teams to be very hairy (flavorwise) or you want them to undergo different investigative mechanics? Flavour is for theme games, not for open... sorry, but this is what I think...
Used to play a lot, haven't played for like 8 years, would like to play again.

Ah, Detective. Didn't know that.

Sorry about that snide remark at the top there, lew. I figured making it one investigative role would hack the "cop can only find one scum" problem, giving them the chance to find two instead of one. You're right about the flavor thing, though, I hadn't really considered that. I suppose we can make them Mafia A and B if it's all the same.

Tragedy is correct, though "Detective" works fine too, I think.

And Open Games CAN be Themed, as long as everything is translated transparently into Open Setup language as well.

1 Gewehr (Gunner) User
1 Used Messenger
1 Back-Up Messenger

NOTES

- Schwert User can choose to defend somebody during the night, and can hold against the Gewehr user's attack, but not the Zauber user's attack.
- Gewehr User can choose to kill somebody during the night. If defended by Schwert user, it fails.
- Zauber User can choose to shoot fireballs at somebody, roleblocking against them without fail.
- Used Messengers are basically 'Masons' with their original user [Gunner User for Blue, Swordsman for Red]. They cannot be killed, unless their original owners have died.
- Messengers can recruit a person (PEOPLE FACTION) to join their alliance, allowing the player to become a Zauber for Blue/Red Kämpfers. If they shot by Gewehr user, and you do not have an owner, you will die.
- Back-Up Messengers can replace back-up the messenger when their owner and him/herself has died. S/he will have the same role as the original Messenger.
- White Kämpfer Leader can hypnotize someone to do your biddings. The hypnotized player will kill another target of your own without any realization. It does
not
cancel their role actions during the Night, however.
- People cannot do anything other than Talk-a-lot and Vote against each other for elimination. However, they can be recruited by the Moderators to become Kämpfer [Recruited by Moderator, giving you the ability to become a Zauber User]
- White Kämpfers wins when all Factions are dominated by them.
- Red Kämpfers wins when all of the White Kämpfers are eliminated while the Blue Kämpfers are dominated.
- Blue Kämpfers wins when all of the White Kämpfers are eliminated while the Red Kämpfers are dominated.
- People wins when any factions earn their win condition.
- All factions but the People could talk during the Night.
- If the Messenger's Owner died, so will the messenger him/herself. Back-Up Messenger can replace the original Messenger of Blue/Red Kämpfer Faction.

Kampfer = Warrior / Fighter
Gewehr = Warrior who uses Guns or something like that.
Schwert = Warrior who uses Swords or something like that.
Zauber = Warrior who uses Magic or something like that.

Not really relevant to the Open game anyways.

I dunno about Follow The Cop, though; I'm not sure there's any reason for the Princesses to not just claim immediately. Doing that would keep the cop from investigating them and it keeps any wagoned scum from claiming princess.

tbh there might indeed have been some ongoing issues with it, I don't really remember :P

Would most likely a Bastard Mod if you let players declare their lovers and they lie. Give it the example of Lovers' Mafia, that setup.
4 Lover Scums -> They can all switch lovers with each other for fun haha.

@Tragedy's sugestion, please remember that most mods who go to the Open Queue to mod, it is their first time modding. It's too complexe.

I hope me posting (sometimes often) corrections doesn't irritate anyone or deter others from posting. I just want to be able to get this right so I can mod it myself in my first modded game evuh (which isn't reccomended, I know, but I like to learn "the hard way") in t-minus 16 mods. >_<

Yes, it's open.

No, recruiting dies with the CL. They basically become a PR-less mafia at that point.

Depends on the mod; I think it should kill him.

Yes, the busdriver effects the recruiter.

The point of the BD is to throw PRs. They'll have to be more cautious with "results." It could also effect Lover's NK.

If a lover gets culted, they become a Vanilla Cultist. The other lover will still Vig if the Culted Lover dies.
