What's odd about it?HackerHuck wrote:Odd defence of Pim here:Meransiel in post 65 wrote:Ooh, the game going on painfully randomly at this point.
I think Pim is just trying to be funny (and failing), by the way.
Go die. Kidding .DrBokchoy wrote:I've requested a replacement. This game is gonna take way too long with the number of players, and I cant commit to it with my upcoming schedule. Good luck everyone
Am I the only one reacting emotionally in this game? A tad tunnelish there...Apokalyptika wrote:I've been rereading more carefully, and Confid's not too impressive to me. The early Pim vote was silly, and his interactions with #58 were scummy. He pressure votes Nacho, then unvotes to attack somebody defending him, while carefully retreating to a neutral position on one of the most polarizing people in the game thus far.FoS: Confid
Also, the fact that Nacho repeatedly had the mod and backup mod on his lynch list shows a total lack of caring. Again, since Nacho's not stupid, he's scum. I like my vote better and better.
Coming back to more recent times, Meransiel's emotional play does not impress. Also, Twisted, why did you say that Nacho's too dangerous to lynch today?
Preview edit: Feel free to call me Apok <3 Also, did you really find my one post scummier than everyone else's accumulated efforts?
Your arguments on Confid seem pretty consistent, though.
Yay, I'm not the only one baffled by his posting style .silverbullet999 wrote:hiraki's flip flops disturb me slightly
Ok, I must admit, the bolded part makes me wonder a little.Furcolow wrote:
This isn't even about Confid and I anymoreDrBokchoy wrote:Silverbullet, I am with you. I do find fur annoying and I'm switching my vote from nacho to fur VOTE: fur
Fur is pretty rude and dismissive to other players and it doesnt seem to be getting anywhere. I think it just increases scum points on him and him being this way while defending himself is scummy. Why is fur still so mad and aggressive over someone changing his quote tags? It's over and I don't see why you have such as overreaction for this type of thing.
This is a ploy that Silverbullet is using to beat a dead horse
Glad you replaced out, though,as you must be bad to give in to this.
My thoughts on Hiraki are still...contradictory. At this point, Confid seems the most scummy to me, and Nacho...well, I'm not getting neither town nor scum reads from him, but...kinda doubt his usefulness, you know? But that's not a reason to vote someone over, so I'll let him be for the moment. And yes, I am, indeed, starting to consider Twistedspoon.Furcolow wrote:
OK, so who are you suspicious of?Meransiel wrote:If you would check my last posts on the last 2 pages or so, you will see that my suspicion of Hiraki has decreased quite a lot.
Plus, I was not upset by the fact you were voting me. Hence, my laughing off your suspicion was neither a counterattack nor sarcasm, it was just...me being myself, dunno.
TwistedSpoon?
You are close to where I want to unvote, but I'm really not sure

I more or less see it as I got him but since I've currently failed to get a lynch on him, he's more or less boasting of the accomplishment since he knows i'm right yet he's so 'good' that he's still seen as town... and thus he taunts. Can you guys, like, not have your pissing contest here when there are some people actually trying to catch up in the game?... People were right it seems....-

To expand on the above as a last ditch effort for now.
Alright... I dug stuff from an old game up, look at the argument between me and engima... the pissing contest there doesn't even compare to what's supposedly a pissing contest here.
http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopi ... 50&t=15219
(Summary: I call out enigma as scum and catch a blatent lie, me and enigma argue while also throwing insults at each other, town basically ignores it throwing it as ATE, I die that night, enigma lives to end game thanks to a great move by his partner and wins the game for scum).
A similar thing has happened here. I've made a huge case on fur, and it's failed completely in it's task at getting fur lynched. It's made everyone throw him as null or even town. Obviously fur scum (being the loose cannon he is... (ala arrogant)) is happy about this since he sees a townie completely failing to get a lynch on him. This get's him overconfident (because at first he was actually scared as to what people would say and started playing the, "you have emotionally scarred me! you have crossed the line! I am going to ignore you now!" card in an effort to derail me).
Obviously if I crossed the line at any point in this game... he would not logically want to provoke me (as this would obviously lead me to "crossing the line" again). Yet what does he do... I make a post in 244 about hiraki... and he himself makes a reply in an attempt to provoke me once more. This guy is obviously lying...... People were right it seems....-

Honestly, my memory is pretty shoddy, so I couldn't remember whether I had played with you before or not. I rarely consider meta, unless it's someone with a very memorable style. TBH, it's not something I'm going to go research. I don't think I played very well in the Mendo game, so I wouldn't put too much into that.Furcolow wrote:I'm sure you dislike me.
HH, you saw me as scum in a 17 page game, what are your thoughts on my meta?
You also saw me as town about a year ago in Mafia in Mendo... did you not?
Since you're interested in meta, what's your meta on me?
If you go back to the link, I don't see what you could be referring to in that post. Your choice of words also makes it look like you're trying to keep the game from getting serious.Meransiel wrote:

And how does arguing over the definition of OMGUS defeat his argument? It may make his argument look weaker, but it doesn't address the actual point.Meransiel wrote:

First, about the gambit.
Yes, it is a way to get through the thread without posting content. But it was also a way to grab a few town reads and a few scum reads, and set up a better Day 1 lynch than we would've had if I played the game aggressively from the beginning. It gives me the ability not to take any strong positions until later when my reads are clearer, and I was expecting it to also give me the added benefit of drawing a lot of attackers to me; making myself an easy bandwagon guarantees an early bandwagon to analyze. Unfortunately, that didn't work, but I do have clear reads on everyone who attacked me.
The gambit itself was to post those damn lists until I got to L-1, or until I narrowed the list down to two suspects per tier. I only broke the self-imposed post restriction from silver's question because I didn't want people to assume it was a posting restriction of mine, and thus let me off because of that belief. The lists were broken down into those who had posted, and those who hadn't posted yet. The mods were placed on there too see who was actually reading the lists as opposed to seeing a bunch of names in brackets and auto-labelling it "no content"."Playing with Nacho is like playing with a religious conservative." ~UncertainKitten
