Do we have any antifinity-scum doubters left at this point?
Just looked at his iso. Wasn't really considering him scum, just cautious town trying to understand why someone would push for a D1 lynch so early. Until the iso refuted that.

Alright, now I'm really confused. Other than disagree with this rushed lynch, what have I done to seem scummy? You mad I'm the only one trying to stop this?

That probably would be more effective. But Satoko's my favorite, I just had an easier time finding a Rika pic way back when.

I finally found a decent Satoko avatar though. If Hanyuu makes daykills work I figure this ought to give me PGO powers

I just said I didn't have a problem with what you were doing UNTIL reading your iso. Early on, you talk about D1 being "essentially just an appeasement to the cold mathematical logic that if we don't lynch anyone, we're letting the scum win". We had a lot of similar views on things, except I want to lynch someone who has talked, and you want to lynch someone who hasn't. This could mean that you're scum going for people who haven't said much and aren't on your team, and are trying to use both "cold mathematical logic" as well as a Lynch All Lurker-esque method to get an easy town lynch. It could mean that you'd rather just get people you find useless out of the way. I don't know, but I don't really like it when I'm being attacked for sharing similar views as someone, but a different end result. And that same person is also admittedly not scum-hunting when I am. And they only target people who aren't here, for being useless, coincidentally also making them useless.

If you were really trying to stop the train, you'd be yelling at the engineer, not a random passengar.

I meant "random" in the sense that you aren't exactly the driving force behind this wagon. You going to argue that one with me?

Then I realized that anti's vote is on fate still, but that hasn't exactly been that well explained or pursued, so whatever.

LURKING IS WHAT I DO.
I hate myself for the amount of lurking that I am doing and the amount that you guys are allowing me to do.
A little confused on the Antifinity v Ghostwriter debate their having, probably going to reread it again to understand it.
My vote is doing nothing but sitting their at the moment.
Nero Cain been failing around a lot since my last post. His post of him trying to defend himself from the attackers are pretty much, "NO YOU, YOU LIED."
I also didn't notice till Fate pointed out that Nero Cain has totally disappeared o.o. Given up more then likely after his attacks of trying to discredit his attackers have failed.
Unvote: Jedo
Vote: Nero Cain

Thats L-1 correct?

I swear, this question seems so familiar... Oh, wait, that's right:
GhostWriter wrote:Tell me the valid point, in your own words.
Still waiting on that one...
GhostWriter wrote:Wait, you're calling him scum for the fact that he's using caps?

Also, if you know that this isn't town-Fate, then it's scum-Fate. The problem is that unless you read it as scum-Fate, then it absolutely can be town-Fate. You're simply looking at him as a bully because you see caps. How about looking at the target. Give me your read on him. Give me your assessment of the cases against him.
GhostWriter wrote:Also, explain how Fate is acting different than in other games. You've pulled the meta-card, I'm gonna make you nut up or shut up on it. Tell me how it's different and provide me with games to use as an example.
I really would like to have Ender answer these before we end the day. Also, if a person isn't anywhere on the site, I doubt giving a midnight deadline for their claim will be effective.

If there is similar levels of competency throughout the town, things might be safer with an unvote..

Actually I have no intention of hammering him if he doesn't post by that deadline. But with several people calling for Nero's blood even without a claim I'm worried someone is just going to go ahead and hammer.

I'd like to at least
hear
from some of the players, for Pete's sake. This is just going to motivate lurkers to post less, if they know they can get away with it by letting lynch-leaders get all flustered and frustrated.

Guys, he's right. Fuck cases. Fuck reads. Everyone, off the wagon. We need to go after some lurkers. Let's vote them to force them to talk about the game. Of course, with everyone trying to motivate lurkers instead of providing things for them to read and comment on, they won't really have anything to talk about... But don't worry, it'll work out! After that, why don't we play spin the bottle, only instead of kissing who it lands on, we can lynch them! After all, day one is cold mathematical calculation that there has to be a lynch or it benefits scum, so there's no need to scum hunt. Nope, no scum hunting. Let's focus only on people who aren't here and not on those that are. Oh, except people who yell. Yelling is mean. Not a scumtell. Just mean.

bill1148 wrote:Not

was fence-sitting. My point. But I disgress. I'll withhold my vindication for the time being, since this may be a common practice for bristep.

Still, my main emphasis (and I think you misread this) was not so much on bristep specifically as it was on the fact that you said that fence-sitting was not a valid tell on THIS SITE, which is completely inaccurate.
Agreed, not everyone fence sits. Myself (Mike Castle) and Nexus rarely have a wandering vote. But a lot of the others do nothing at all with their votes for much of the game.

Also, it ISN'T a valid tell, for a variety of reasons:
1 - Player is new to this site and could be used to playing that way.
2 - Player is new to mafia in general and thinks it would be wrong to vote too often.
3 - Player is a bit dim and has yet to learn that voting is good information on this site.
4 - Player unvoted and is in the process of checking his thoughts/the current votes to see if s/he should vote.

That's just off the top of my head. Obviously if you know a player's style well enough and know they only unvote without re-voting when they're scum, then it's a valid tell. It's automatically not valid for any game thereafter the second anyone points out why it's a tell, because that player also now knows to avoid doing it. So really, it's not all that valid to begin with.

I am Umaro from Final Fantasy VI. I am a bodyguard.
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
