That was a aggravating PR, indeed.

This game is going slowly, so if you could hurry up and provide reads, that would help.

explain this. i don't think either of them gave off alignment tells with their posts, and you're already taking definite stances on them.
ConfidAnon wrote:These past few posts got me confused as to what game I'm in.
Unvote, Vote: silverbullet999

FoS: Hiraki

Quit confusing me. =P
1. town has no incentive to double-rvs
2. it doesn't sound like you seriously believe hiraki is scum, so why the fos? or if you did seriously believe he was scum, why no vote?
Meransiel wrote:Hiraki, stop being such a pain! I'm FoSing ye.
Vote: Number58
scum #1. says the same thing as confid, without the legitimate fos.
Hiraki wrote:Psst. Meran's post is just as bad, and/or worse.
Also, these FoS' are quite amusing.
indeed.
Hiraki wrote:Confid. Convince me why I shouldn't vote you right now.
what happened to meran's post being and/or worse?
Pim wrote:

Anyways,
Unvote; Vote: Hiraki
Pim wrote:So, can we haz moar Hiraki votez?
i appreciate you telling everyone why they should vote hiraki.
bvoigt wrote:UNVOTE: Number 58

Why would you be worried about a 3-vote wagon when it's 9 to lynch?
Meransiel wrote:That's a pretty good point. Plus, Number 58 is not here, so I guess we could always pressure him later.
Unvote

Vote: Furcolow
bvoigt wrote:Sorry but TBH, it really wasn't a good point. Plus, I don't like that you feel the need to justify changing away from your RVS vote.
UNVOTE: Furcolow
VOTE: Meransiel
okay. at least one of these two are scum, but probably not both. paraphrased:
bvoigt: here's a serious vote with a serious reason
meran: i'm going to sheep, and we can go back to my rvs vote later
bvoigt: my reason for my last serious vote was bad, serious vote on meran now
both look opportunistic as hell here.
Number58 wrote:
Furcolow wrote:the scumtell she is referring to is a day1 JEEP tell which are outdated as shit, but I still like this one
Furcolow is trying to justify a tell that is apparently outdated, aken to weak, but still forces it to apply.
i'm going to put this one as "misreading" because i honestly didn't see why this was wrong until i reread it a few times. i am pretty sure "this one" is referring to his vote/wagon preference, not the tell.
though i also fear this could be wrong, and i wish furcolow would specify more clearly what he's talking about.
silver seems to be taking everything everyone says literally while also cracking unfunny jokes. this is like a post conflicting with itself. sirens are going off, though not as loudly as with bvoigt/meran.
Hiraki wrote:Sitting back and just watching is a basic implication of fense-sitting.
Pim. Are you ever going to make a good post, or should I expect this crap from you for the entire game?
2nded
Pim wrote:I'm letting others think why I see that post of yours as scummy so that I can figure out which players I can depend on to catch your scumbuddies ^.^ Other posts of yours are just making that post worse.
thanks for not making any reference to a specific post up to this point in your iso.
ConfidAnon wrote:That's rediculously funny, considering I'm after Pim for not paying attention.
But my vote on Pim isn't random.
admission of scummy behavior does not make it okay.

have to leave, more will come tonight.

tl;dr version:

scum:
meran/bvoigt (almost definitely mutually exclusive)
pim

town:
hiraki

And nachomamma, you probably shouldn't lynch Starbuck either.
i figured it out. this is a secret bastard mod, where everyone is town except the backup mod, who is serial killer.
Number58 wrote:The vote of him on nachomamma also is bad because he is trying to vote on something that is not scum motivated. I do not see clear scum motivation for nachomamma to post the lists he has posted, so that means he is not scum for posting the lists. The person attacking the lists has scum motivation.
scum motivation: setting up mislynches.
that's... pathetically obvious.
ns picking up on this immediately makes him town in my eyes.
furcolow's playing dumbtown, as usual. makes it easy to read him, at least. his vote's awful, though.
Nachomamma8 wrote:One lynch from {Meransiel, Nobody Special, singersinger}
One lynch from {Number50, DrBokchoy, Hazard with a Glove, boberz}
ooh, we're closing in on success with the first lynch. take ns the hell out of there.
second one seems less likely to be successful, since 3 flakers and a weak scum read are all that i see in there.
silver's "case" on furcolow seems like making something out of nothing.
random aside - how to quote better: middle click on the quote button. why is that so hard?
134 is a complete waste of a post.
Meransiel wrote:Me, needing pressure? Well, who knows...
you guys really haven't lynched him yet? we have two lynches per day for a reason.
okay, nacho dies today. i don't care. he is active lurking in the purest sense of the term.
i will say that i agree completely with confid's 161. he's probably ripe for my town list at this point.
i didn't actually bother to read silver's case, but i don't see it coming from scum considering that literally no one else was itching to lynch furcolow - there were several better targets if silver was scum trying to push a mislynch.
Number58 wrote:I do not have reason to think anyone is mafia.
vote: number58

outright lie. he has suspicions. he does not seem willing to act on them.
Meransiel wrote:Twistedspoon - neutral, leaning town
Hiraki - town, leaning scum (yeah, I know it sounds weird)
Signer - town, leaning...I have no idea
silver - town
fur - neutral, leaning scum (yes, my suspicion of you has reduced)
confid - scum, leaning neutral
Nobody Special - I have no idea
bvoigt - town, leaning neutral
Number58 - pretty much town
Nacho - town
Pim - no idea
boberz - is he even playing?
counting:
12 reads given, 2 of them listed as definite.
no definite scum reads, the only player labeled "scum" is listed as leaning town
leaves off 3 players even though he acknowledges boberz.
do you guys really see town posting like this?
apokalyptika's catchup post seems... too concise. i find myself agreeing with most of the reads, but she doesn't provide evidence for anything. and the vote she places seems more like a policy lynch than anything. yes, nacho's play sucks. no, it does not mean he's scum. i do want him to die soon, but we have two lynches for a reason.
Meransiel wrote:Klazam - oh, how could I forget him? Heh, low-profiling, not paying enough attention and whatnot - heh, neutral towards town, I guess.
Dr - null reads currently
Hazard - again, is he even playing?
3 more indefinite reads. you really aren't paying attention to the game, are you?
hiraki's reads in 211 are about as awful as they could be, but i don't think they say much about his alignment.
Hiraki wrote:Hmmzorz.
Unvote, Vote: Apoctolyptica
scum replace out under pressure quite often. why did drb's replacement request make you change your mind? (and yes, i know exactly what i'm implying here.)
furc vs. silver on page 11 is obvious town-on-town. of course, i had town reads on both of them beforehand so it doesn't help much.
okay, i'm going to take nacho's word on his "gambit" for now because it looks like he's decided to start posting, and leaving him alive, town or scum, is a great way to get reads on him and other players as well.
Furcolow wrote:
bvoigt wrote:Meransiel and DrBokchoy.
both seem like easy lynches... popular.
why these two?
who says popular lynches can't be right?
Meransiel wrote:Also,
I am not scum distancing and then buddying from him
...wasn't that defense kind of unneeded?
i may be nitpicking, but meran doesn't deny being scum in this post.

full list of reads in my next post. unfortunately, there seems to be no wagon on #58, so i'll be switching to
vote: meran
because it's just as good of a vote, with more usefulness.

Number58 - scum
ConfidAnon - town
Twistedspoon - null
Hiraki - town
Apokalyptika - null leaning scum
Nobody Special - town
HackerHuck - null
silverbullet999 - town
bvoigt - scum, mutually exclusive from meran
Nachomamma8 - null leaning scum
Furcolow - town
singersigner - null
Pim - scum
Klazam - null leaning town
Meransiel - scum, mutually exclusive from bvoigt

and i am definitely favoring a meran lynch over a bvoigt lynch, because everything i've read has only made meran look worse, while bvoigt has stayed in practically the same place as when i started reading.
i will probably reread my null reads tomorrow to hopefully put them at definite reads.

The deadline is under a week away, so I think it's time to start forming larger wagons. Our top 3 at the moment are Meran, Nacho, and Apokalyptica. I still think Meransiel is the best choice for today. Apok isn't bad either-- she hasn't really done anything major, but I get a mild scum read. Nacho, on the other hand, is probably town.

I feel like I should be posting more content, but not much has really caught my attention in the last few pages. If you're wondering why Nacho is town, his play seems different from how I've seen him play as scum, and ISO #19 is pretty good.

I'm not ignoring you, Hiraki. Your suspicion of me was based on "stating things and finding random conclusions", yes? AKA coming to conclusions you don't agree with?

I've never played with Nacho before, but has he ever pulled a gambit like this as town? Also, I'm not sold that one fairly decent post can make up for a bunch of other horrible ones.

With deadline coming up, I'm pretty fixed on Nacho. Confid's the only other person I'd want to see hang, and that wagon's not going to start now. By the way, Confid, now that Nacho's finally doled out a little analysis, what're your thoughts?

Hi pod... or drbokchv... though not actually dr..

Hi my catchup post..

Nacho's probably town... least for now.

I don't see the fur lynch happening, and he's won some slight town points.
thus i'll move it to one of the bigger wagons... and my pick is...

VOTE: meransiel

@PP - You do realize that was supposed to say "anyone
else
" right? Especially as it was immediately preceeded by me saying that I would be happy with a lynch of Mer or DBC. And it was in a post that contained a case on CA which I had been pushing for a long time

I still think that Apoc should be lynched, although the Mer path is a decent alternative to it.

Double Day Catch-Up:

I’d like to know why Meransiel thinks Confid is so scummy as per his post 258.

I actually agree with silverbullet that we should lynch someone soon (double day, first lynch) and it should be someone who would legitimately be troublesome toward later game.

NACHO EXPLAINS. Yay. : )
…Nacho’s town.

I like Number’s analysis of Apokalyptika’s voting a player that’s useless as opposed to scummy, however, I don’t agree with it as it’s D1 on a double day. It’s the perfect time to get rid of players who don’t contribute as opposed to ones that will continually give us reads later.

Meransiel’s assumption that Nacho will have a lot to say about his “scummy play” is weird and self-depricating…which is weird.

It’s also weird that Nacho still hadn’t posted his analysis for almost two days after that, which NS has already pointed out. O.o

Meransiel is definitely town thus far from what I can see. Twistedspoon, why exactly did you think what Klazam found was a scumtell, as opposed to being inexperienced and cautious town? You also note it’s a scumslip AFTER he gives an explaination, but don’t vote? How come?
[edit after fully caught up…am I the ONLY person getting a town read on him??]

I’M SORRY I FORGOT TO POST V/LA IN THIS ONE GAME. BAH.

Furcolow, you mention something you feel to be a part of my scum meta (while I was V/LA, btw), but don’t follow up with it. Why?
Furcolow wrote:Way to see-saw and have a weak meta defense.
Hahaha. Oh the irony.
Furcolow wrote:The fact you still have your vote on me is a joke, considering how obviously town I am.
lol. WUT.

Furc, why did you read DrBokChoy as a dumb townie (the irony) as opposed to someone feigning scumhunting?

I don’t understand this Nacho absense thing…he’s finally back and explaining things…he votes for me, questioned about it, says he didn’t actually mean it to be a vote, then doesn’t unvote…that sequence of events doesn’t add up, especially since I was V/LA through last night.

His huge wall-o-text catch-up post said the exact same thing twice. At least six people have posted since then commenting on the game (and I would assume Nacho’s post/reads since it was impressed upon so much that they were waiting for them) and didn’t comment on that ONCE. It’s making me feel as though people haven’t really read his case on Meransiel AT ALL.

Blargh. At this point, even though I strongly disagree with it, I feel as though Merasiel’s the only viable lynch for today considering his wagon and build up until now.
I would rather lynch Nacho, though. He’s not acting in a pro-town manner anymore.
