OK, since the mod has explained what happened, I figure it's OK to reveal. I was a VT; however, I was told that I was a mafia goon. From the game opening to being locked, I believed I was a goon; it was not until the locking that I found out I was a VT.

I asked you for the bare minimum, but you could respond in multiple ways. Your choice, for whatever reason, was to respond minimalistically. It is not trivial.

It's true that the other ex-scumfriends are largely irrelevant for analyzing their own posts since said posts didn't exist back then, but it still reflects on your current alignment and the possible universe given that you're scum. For example, if you were and remain scum and refuse to reveal you scumfriends, I could see that as evidence of awkward reroll results.

@ ThAdmiral -- A few hours into the game, the roles were re-RNG'd because of a mod error. The first few RVS votes were pre-redistribution.

@ moz -- You go down alleys to scumhunt. That is how this game works. If you have a preferred alley, I encourage you to explore it.

For example, if you want to interrogate me in a particular way, that would constitute a viable substitute to what I've tried doing over the past few pages. Complaining about the fact that something is being done D1 at all is unlikely to lead anywhere, though.

my choice was to answer the question as proposed to me to the best of my ability. this is the best way to answer ANY question in mafia imo. if i would have said who they were, trust me, there are plenty of people on this site that would be like "hmm, i didnt ask you who your scum buddies were, why did you feel the need to give more information that was asked of you? you could have let them answer... i find this interesting"

I still don't understand why you think its weird for me to answer my own questions, and let other people answer theres. and why you dont find it odd that no one else has answered for themselves.

@mozamis: if i got it right: 'follow the cop' was the 'old newbie'-breaking strategy, yet this setup allows for such a play.
Because opens are known/tested/balanced setups, i assumed the different numbers make this one not-broken even by that tactic, so i didn`t check the numbers

well, if it works why not? To be honest, my question is born out of puzzlement. Clearly, the mod is an experienced mafia player, so why set up a game that can be "broken". Which makes me think that it can not be.
Yet the wiki says it can be.

I think this is SORT of useful once the cop has a few investigations under his belt. Give them a couple days and then when they feel the time is right, or when they are in danger, we can jump to a follow the doc type situation. It's more helpful when they know a bit too. But until then the cop AND the doc, for that matter, should not be claiming.

And @ Mozamis, I've heard that 12 player tends to be a little unfair to scum unless they can catch a PR, that's why I've always thought it would be more balanced if there was a Mafia Role Blocker.

I do not have a scumread on mozamis and I have never had one. My mozamis vote was pre-redistribution.

Also, I didn't recognize that moz was the Mute voter at the time, and I probably would've chosen someone else had I noticed it.

Lane should probably disclose the original scum (or the players themselves should come on). It's free, easy information and conditionally informative in the event that lane is scum (i.e. I think his reluctance to claim his friends upfront may imply awkward redistribution).

I agree that there's no residual information to be gained from comparing pre-redis post-redis posts themselves, though.

I think its completely idiotic to want someone to out who was on their previous scum team, instead of waiting to see if they are going to say it themselves. because if they didnt, it would be easy for me to ask why he didnt later in the game. or even a page or two from now. Don't you think it gives more information if they don't say it themselves and i know this fact? either way, you could have found out eventually in a MUCH more beneficial manner... i don't understand your impatience... but since you're so concerned with who was scum before the redistribution... it was lucresia, who has been replaced. and lynchking, who hasn't spoken since rvs.
