Bingo.

Though, you've dropped a bit, being replaced by BabySpice on my top 3.

Sorry, catching up..
Magua wrote:And what, pray tell, made you think this? I'm curious.
Nothing. It was a gambit to see if anyone who previously didn't suspect me suddenly would. The cross-striking over-shadowed it all, but MagnaofIllusion is suddenly calling me scum despite zero comment on me yesterday and choosing ThAdmiral over me. (Plum and Albert B. Rampage were consistent)
MagnaofIllusion wrote:CKD is an easy read as scum. I’m hardly surprised he flipped Mafia at all.
Did MagnaofIllusion state any previous suspecion of curiouskarmadog? Answer: barely. His only comments to/about curiouskarmadog had to do with how easy a scumread curiouskarmadog was in Cyclic.

So why did he make the comment? If he's town, then the only reason was to meta-stick his tongue out as curiouskarmadog. If MagnaofIllusion is scum, then he's making sure that his distance from curiouskarmadog is subtly noticed.
Baby Spice wrote:MoI confirmed scum and IC.

Elementary.
So... What happened to Friend/Xalxe during your hastily scrambled together "logic"?

Baby Spice strikes and settles in for the cross-fight between Toogeloo and Albert B. Rampage when she has plenty of chance to open a new route (plenty of non-strikers to push a new wagon). Then she opens up new scum-accusations that heavily feature OMGUS reasoning.

@Toogeloo - Did you have any reason to strike Albert B. Rampage beyond "let's end the WIFOM"?

@StrangerCoug: I would like you to take a minute to spell out the benefit of a Day 2 no-lynch you were talking to lady Lambdadelta about. It's probably very simple and feel free to berate me as an idiot that needs a grown-up's hand to cross the street, but I really haven't been following the logic of any of your reads. Either your scum trying to push bad logic, or I'm just not on the same page, so I'd like a point of common ground.
Camn wrote:MoI- your last couple posts were beneath you. You can do a LOT better. But the tone of your play makes me a little reluctant to get involved.
Do you realize that you've struck MagnaofIllusion and still haven't presented a case yet, right? Happy hour is over. Quit fucking stalling, this should have been posted already.
KageLord wrote:Okay, how about everyone that hasn't struck yet says which lynch(es) they would be down for today before we do anything else?

ABR: Yes
MoI: No
Toog: Yes
BS: No
I really hate it when the guy I strongly suspect of being scum is suddenly the voice of reason. Albert B. Rampage and MagnaofIllusion are getting hesitant "No"s right now.

Why the "no" on Baby Spice? Her play/logic is absolutely horrible..

Counting the IC separately, ThAdmiral's death put us at a ratio of 9:3:3:3:1. That meant we lost the majority. (Fortunately, we've regained it for now.) Leaving ThAdmiral alive would have kept us at parity going into Night 2. As we would have had one additional townie left, there would have been fewer situations that would have cost the town the majority. If Lady Lambdadelta had made a decent attempt at a ThAdmiral case, I would have simply gone "OK, we were wrong," and this argument would not have happened. She made no such attempt, and neither did AlmasterGM, who has flipped scum.

Okay, but I guess I'm failing to see how losing the majority is a major negative result since we'd still have the plurality of the votes...

What I don't understand is why you would count the IC seperately. That doesn't make any sense. There are 9 players with town win conditions, and 8 with anti-town win conditions. Get it straight.

As I said in that post, the responses for MoI and BS are simply because I believe we have 2 much better options. Those "no"s don't mean that I wouldn't consider them later (as soon as tomorrow, depending on who gets nixed in the meantime).

And I agree that BS's logic is horrible, but that's not necessarily a scumtell. I haven't played with BS before, so I have no meta reason to think BS's logic is ever that good.

OK we will break it down to kill this discussion. From only the players alive, and paraphrasing:

9: You win when all threats to the town are eliminated
2: You win when nothing can stop your mafia from winning
2: You win when nothing can stop your mafia from winning
3: You win when you take over the town and no one in your circle is dead
1: You win when everyone else is dead

So 9 town, 8 antitown, which means we (the town) still have a majority.

The last time you gave a ratio, though, it was 9:3:3:1:1. Was it a calculation error?

That makes sense for the current state of the game. Odd that you counted the "town" IC separate anyway, but I still see how you got the numbers.

Re: Moi

I have played with him once, iirc, and he was good. And scum.
My whole take on him hinges on the idea that it is easier to be good as TOWN than it is as scum. Thus, if he were town, he would be at least equaling, if not exceeding his level of play as scum.
This might be a flawed assumption, but we go with what we have, no? In this game especially, I think it would be HARD to be consistent and organized as scum, given the shifting landscape of loyalty and betrayal.

Lets us look, then:
This is early on:
MagnaofIllusion wrote:
TL : DR
- Toog's stance and action show a CLEAR scum motivation and don't show any possible Town motivation. He's scum.
What happened to this? Did Moi go after obv-scum later? let us peruse. .
Spoiler: Here is the entire set of Moi's mentions of Toog for the rest of the day
Moi DEFENDING Toog in a backhanded way wrote:If you saw justification in the strike why were you immediately tempted to strike him?
toog is off the list now? no indication as to why wrote:We have different views on the potential Town / Scum intent of Toog's play. I'd rather continue to hang scum (Hrezs, Wraith, others as they make themselves Obv)
Has Moi given up onToog? wrote:So says the person yelling at everyone to IGNORE Toog. The irony of using Toog to support your postion on DGB makes me chuckle.
Nope! still wants him dead! wrote:Toog is scum? Absolutely. Why you ask? This post clearly shows why. He’s presented what he feels is a logical way to hunt for scum in this environment. The formula?

1. Look at those who pushed Hrezs.
2. Cross-reference to those pushing Kagelord today.
3. Re-cross-reference with those that struck DGB.
4. Hang resulting found scum.

But does he do this? Nope.

He’s more interested in looking town than actually hunting said scum down. Oh wait, wasn’t that the increadibly scummy thing he was just accusing someone else of doing?

Kill it with Fire!

Toog
still wrote:Toog (more complete lack of scum-hunting)

So.. It is clear that Moi thinks Toog is scum. Is there a strike? no.
This is a wierd game, though.. is there a VOTE?? no. Not even a vote.
Instead.. NOW that Toog actually is a viable lynch (in fact a PROBABLE lynch), we get this:
MagnaofIllusion wrote:VOTE: Camn. Nothing has changed from yesterday.
Honestly I think Toog needs to hang
Remember... Toog has 2 Strikes already! The momentum is to lynch him! I know this is after I struck.. but it applies! What does Moi do next?
MagnaofIllusion wrote:Right here, absolutely.

/strike – BabySpice
...
ATTENTION DAYKILLER – CAMN IS A GREAT TARGET TODAY!!!
.
Hmm.
What say you? Is this a town-player? I think not.

Someone asked about Friend/Xalxe

I always try to give the replacements a chance to scum it up for themselves. Or shine. :)

I've replaced in a bit, sometimes to replace real idiots, and feel it's just fair. Not a free pass by a long shot, but a chance to speak for themselves.

My main scummy on Friend was the reasonless DGB strike, and the reasonless Wraith vote. (With AGM's following vote)
The lurkiness didn't help of course. But with Friend flaking, his reasonless/scummy strike/vote could just be bad play or lurkiness.

So Xalxe gets a little grace.

Besides with actual IC & scum found, Xalxe wont be today's lynch regardless of what happens, so he can wait.

Targetted Exe. I still believe him and MoI are scum together, was hoping I could block a kill to help my case.

Everything Babyspice does just makes me think she's trying to get on ABR's goodside. Twice now she's struck the person ABR has struck in her next post.
Despite her actions, she says ABR is IC.

Also claims that MoI, Toog and ABR are IC together and are bussing each other, which literally makes no sense.

Kast- I hadn't read the thread when I posted(other than the latest post and skimmed for a votal)

Lady Lamb's attack on BS makes me think she's town. Or at the very least, not scum with BS.
(or... I guess they could think the other is IC.... but that might be over thinking it).. although thinking about this more, with the cross gangleader kill could be the catalyst for opening up massive IC suspicion, which would lead to massive bussing. I'm just wifoming myself into oblivion though...
Going with my initial town read of the situation.

I'd prefer to lynch MoI or BS.
If I had to choose between Toog and ABR I'd lynch toog. I have a decent townread on ABR and am basically null on Toog.
BS was completely unmemorable until late yesterday for me, at which time my scumdar on her went crazy.
She's my prefered lynch because of her recent play, despite my Exe/MoI connection.

Fixed

Once MoI flips IC, Toog's and ABR's interaction D1 becomes hightly suspect. Toog far more so. Far more so.

A little was his hypocrisy strike of Day 2 after chastisement of Striking early on Days 1 and 3, a little was the WIFOM connection made by everyone. I think his activity has been inconsistent as well, leading town at some turns, passively lying in wait on others. Just a very bad feeling in general from him, and I really hate being called scum because I am being connected to someone else, and even worse any WIFOM of connections being ignored until it gets to a point where it could cost town the game.

Hey guys, this last weekend was my birthday AND a League of Legends tournament AND I have a huge project due on weds, hence the lack of posting. I'm trying to catch up and will have a post ASAP.
Note: Weekends are my busiest time. Expect me to not post much from Friday to Sunday.

Do not expect me to play to a meta.

OH HOLY SHIT THIS

Whoops. Thank your mod for not getting off my case.

Anyway, hi. My name's Xalxe, and RC bullied me into replacing. My plan is to read D3 and then maybe do some VCA, we'll see. If there's anything I REALLY need to see ASAP, post it please, otherwise I'll probably miss it.

Also, I dunno how much RC has told y'all, but my access sux; I won't be here weekends or evenings. Contrary to most people, I post from school and not at home.

Hugs,
Xalxe
