I'm not sure i like rangers post very much. If Kingpin reveals who is innocent, sure the scum can nightkill them. But ( I havent done the math), I think town would still win in the end?

@ moz -- Follow-the-cop isn't a good strategy unless the Cop is revealed. The ideal play changed when the Cop was revealed.

I'm not sure how this works, but I can see two options:

1) Kingpin names players to be killed each day. Except for doctor CC, we make no other discussion.
2) We NL every day until the doctor dies; then the Cop reveals his results.

I'm not sure which is normative. Either way

Follow the cop's effectiveness is entirely reliant on how long it takes the mafia to kill the doctor and how many confirmed innocents we can get during that time. If the mafia can kill a confirmed innocent every night, and one of those happens to be the doctor, that makes it significantly less effective. I'll write up some details on the math and hopefully get a chance to post them before night starts.

i thought we only find out the alignment of people who are lynched. in another game, when a vig or scum killed someone, only they knew. those weren't basic though obviously

It is standard for all dead players to flip unless scum has a janitor or other specialized role.
