Here's the thing: An Alliance smacks of exclusivity and (for lack of a better made-up word) clique-y-ness. As to your questions:

I'm also not comfortable with you leading the Alliance. Yes, your arrogance just really gets under my skin. It's a personal thing, and I'm trying really hard to see the benefit within the game.

I've not read the UB thread, I don't know a lot about you guys, but please explain how some Group that existed rprior to this game can have a bearing on player's alignments in this game. In other words, you have NO GUARANTEE that all your proposed Alliance members are town. How can you have a Town Alliance with scum in it? It's broken.

I think I've found my biggest problem with Alliances: In a game where you simply cannot trust anyone, an Alliance dictates that you trust your fellow players. The Alliance is like trying to forge a new 'informed' group that really isn't informed at all.

That said, I don't like Umbrage's nor Hiraki's reaction to the proposed alliance. I should re-read (and I'm trying to work right now, so tonight), but I'm not sure that either has intelligently responded to the alliance idea. It seems more reactionary and emotional on the surface. Like I said, I'll revisit this tonight.

This is terrible. The towns first goal on D1 should be scumhunting, not policy lynching. Policy lynching should only be used if no other reasonable lynch decision can be made.
