oh, whoops. miscounted. here it is
gonna break down Talapus's reply to me piecemeal, this is going to suck to read but I feel the need to organize my reply:
Talapus wrote:This isn't accurate at all, and the fact that you state it makes it seem you think it's right. First off if I were trying to shut down discussion, no posts would have been posted by me, that simple.
Yes, of course I think what I say is right. There are multiple ways to shut down discussion, trying to dismiss what everyone is one way of doing so.
Talapus wrote:Secondly I gave reasons for voting Gaoth, whether or not you agree with them certaily isn't my problem nor is "It's day 1 it's too early to know anything" my argument a "big part" of the reasoning behind my vote from him. In fact, it had nothing to do with it which had you read it, you'd know that. So nice try at misdirection on you're part.
I do more than disagree with them, I think they're founded on bad logic, even anti-town logic. You points in your vote on Gaoth don't point to scumminess, and you're accusing me of a mis-rep when I saw you post this:
Talapus wrote:With the whole PL and the potential scum buddies you draw conclusions that that when players defend eachother and then distance eachother on day one it's a good scum buddy tell. And honestly thats just BS in a game like this. I play very actively on another site and players do that all the time day one. Not because it means anything, but they are just used to giving eachother a hard time and messing around. Now should it continue and obvious distance is being put between then, then yes, big scum tell. But it's still day 1 and I think you're looking too hard at something not there.
How is that not trying to shut down discussion on the basis of it being "too early to know anything"?
Talapus wrote:As for being "caught" thats you're thoery and it's wrong, just like other things in the post above you said. See gorilla, this is me yet again discussing. Now if you'd care to go back and read why I voted Gaoth go ahead as obviously you missed or skimmed it in general. I still don't agree with this point of view with the obv town/scum but I do agree it gets people to discuss things. We'll just not see eye to eye on the values of using it and thats fine. But next time dude if you're going to be upset and try to call me out on something then at least get your facts staright.
I'm not upset at all, you're trying to paint me as getting emotional to try to discredit me. Let me summarize your reasons for voting Gaoth:
-He jumped to conclusions about the setup that weren't reasonable for a town player to make (where?)
-He was concerned about a player possibly being an alt (how is this a scumtell?)
-You think him accusing two players of distancing is looking too hard at something that isn't there (this is plausible, but not a scumtell. If he were forcing the case, I might agree, but as it is, no.)
-He speculated on the setup (again I don't see what's scum-motivated in this)
-He didn't give a good response because he was going V/LA (see, if he were just posting normally this might be reasonable but he doesn't have time to keep up with the thread so it makes sense)
This is weak tea. Doesn't add up to a good reason to vote a player at all.
