But I liked the things he saw in Pine that he found scummy - because I found those same things scummy. Pine wasn't scum, so this drops back to null since I dislike some other things he has said.

Wrathchild: Leaning town. He flip flopped on me and very quickly. He said something and then dropped it once he realized it was unfounded. I generally see this as a town tell, since scum are more interested in looking consistent.

WrathChild, Mod-Kill or not, a mechanic of this game is that if you claim, for whatever reason, you are killed.
No one in here, I repeat, NO ONE in here, is arguing over whatever or not this is a mod-kill, but everyone, except you, know Pine's death was related to him claiming his role.
What I suggested had nothing to do with whatever that was a mod-kill or not.

1) People claim: They die
2) The day doesn't advance

Therefore, Claiming does NOT equal death.

Therefore, you know that claiming does not equal death, but you were pushing for claims anyway.

Therefore, you were role fishing with your plan.

I don't like how you jump to the conclussion that a a mechanic of the game is is claim=death. I think it is much more likely that Claim provides information and that information allows certain abilities to target certain players based on the claimed information. I find it very likely that Pine was targeted and murdered by another player, not the mod. I don't like that you were trying to spin it like the Mod did it. I find that to be a way of covering tracks.

Also, another reason why I am fairly positive this is not due to a role, and is instead a mechanic, is because it was foreshadowed at the beginning of the game. It just seems to be a mechanic of the game and not something resulting from a specific ability from a PR or a faction.
