With a net. Or, I'm still working on how to avoid associative tells, so if I had a buddy flip, finding me might not be too hard.

@Alduskkel: If your vote on me was RVS, why are you wagoning me instead of monk? If your vote wasn't RVS, why are you voting me?

Alduskkel wrote:Do you prefer to play as town, scum, third party, or no preference? If "third party" please specify what kind of third party.

Town. I find I'm not as good at it, but I tend to enjoy it more because of the lack of constant pressure. Also, why do you prefer playing as maf?

@Elsa: Same question to monk et al: why did you place a vote out before it would count?

Secret Project wrote:Ironhead's post puts way more than weirdalex actually said into his mouth. Trying to paint something as scummy that's totally null.

Can you please elaborate?
On hiatus from any new mafia commitments.
Jesus loves you. But that doesn't mean you're town.

Hah, I had no idea that votes were not counting yet. I think I saw someone else vote and did so myself, thinking the RVS was upon us.

I like playing as mafia or third party, because of the extra challenges and excitement. I feel like it's easier to win as town and that bores me. Also, for being mafia, I get to kill off people at night and that's fun for me. (I have no idea why.)

Also, someone being scum is the same as being mafia right? Are the two words always interchangeable?

Scum includes all anti-town roles. So mafia AND third parties.

Have you gone through the wiki? A lot of the terms you ask for are defined on there.

Okay guys, new plan. I'm representing us until the hydra comes along. Sorry for any confusion.
So, ear prefers being town. I personally prefer scum, because I enjoy manipulating people.

We both agree that his single post was scummy. It's like he's trying to avoid RVS... I wonder why?

I was just going to post a whole thing about ironhead and some other stuff, and then I realized we're still pregame. I bet this game's gonna turn out well. :) Especially with all this activity.

TBH, I think Ironhead is null because of it (all though I'm still not sure if it was serious or just RVS-sarcasm, I can never tell the difference).
I'm back, sort of. Not a lot of free time to play, but I'm planning to be modding some mish mash and stuff this winter.

Eragon Mafia, a 17-Player Large Theme, will be coming to the large theme queue soon(ish) if all goes well. If you're interested, PM me to pre-in.

Sorry, somehow I still thought it was pregame.

Well, I don't feel like typing it up again, so in a nutshell, I pretty much wrote the following:

I don't like RVS either (meaing that although I like spectating, I don't like participating.) And that not liking RVS isn't necesarilly a scum tell.

RQS. I think asking questions work just as well. For one, picking on one person espeically and see how they handle the pressure, then switch around and things like that.

That is how RVS bandwagoning works...
RQS doesn't impact the game though. I personally like having questions and RVS.

@Secret Project & SleepyKrew: I thought I made the connection pretty solid between what wierdalex said and what the implication is. Are you indicting the connection? If so, where exactly did I fail to connect the argument to the conclusion?

I agree with this line of thought. I think RQS generates more useful discussion than RVS -- besides, not everyone gets pressured during RVS.

Vote: SleepyKrew

Darth Vader's lenses are obviously already 3D, meaning you are not the real Darth Vader, i.e. you're not really the person you pretend to be, and since I assume you are pretending to be town, you are therefore scum.

Now that that's out of my system,

unvote, vote: weirdalexv

This was a very safe thing to say. You established yourself firmly on the fence without stepping on anyone's toes. I'd expect newbie town to do this, but not someone in a mini normal.

Please explain this part of your post, it was basically useless. (I'm sorry if I missed something, I probably did, but can someone explain the point of it anyways?) Thank you.

You just said you don't like RVS and yet this is often the definition of it. They way I see RVS, there's two ways to start off reads from it. You can get reads from the way people vote (I got caught once from a single post that I thought was harmless.) or you can get reads from the way people react to votes. You described the second one.
