It is simply what makes the best sense to me, especially given the wording of the PM. If I am in error, then the roles are almost certainly of similar strength and a disproportionately strong or weak claimed role compared to what the other people got will still screw Meransiel.

Read my posts again. I did not claim to be anything. I only stated that I do not necessarily have to be the person that verifies his claim. I already believe that it is false since he claimed to have a day action, which seems too strong to be a power given out first.

Let me spell it out for you:

Let us assume that mers is scum.
Options after SC claims:
1. Mers says SC is guilty, we lynch SC and then mers
2. Mers says SC is inno, it was a plan to get SC to claim.

Option 1 doesn't make sense because that is suiciding. Option 2 doesn't make sense because it forces him to claim and therefore be chained down while at the same time attracting a buttload of attention for no reason.

Yes, because at that game state you would have no idea what powers were going to be distributed to your color drop comrades, so there was absolutely no way I could have fished out any information. I wasn't asking you if you were red or yellow and if you got a power today; I was asking why you were so definitive about the roles your like color drops would receive

. So it still looks to me to be a messed up soft claim for subtle town cred, unless you can explain why you were so acutely aware of how significant your like colors powers would be before you had a good reason to know such information.

I agree with SC claiming first. We are up in the numbers so I'm really not that concerned with a 1:1 trade if it comes to that, which I don't believe it will since I believe SC to be scum.

The other thing that is interesting considering the most recent conversation about how weak SC thinks the first order powers are is that he was saying yesterday that if he died his color pals would be getting "very useful" powers, which with his death, would have been the first order of powers. And his claim today that he thought everyone would receive the same power in the first order is a little off since he said his color team would receive very useful power

Had I gotten ahead of myself? It's very possible that I did. However, the only way I see a power being useless if it is passive, which makes little sense from the sample, or if it is a bastard mod game, for which there is no evidence.

As for using the plural term "powers" and then claiming to think that the remaining players of the two colors that have a player down have the same power, I was using the term "powers" in a collective sense. For example, one doctor power + one doctor power = two doctor powers.

The fact that you're quick to defend yourself in that arena when I've hardly done any accusing is suspicious. Anyway, Glass is the one saying you should be our vote today.

Notice the rapid backpedaling there? Jedo pushes the "blame" onto Glass, despite what he posted earlier. Not to mention that my "defense" was saying that his speculation, as he calls it, is faulty is my case although it appears to be the reason he's calling me scummy.

On the other hand, hotdogs' hammer for me was a complete null. The fact that SC brought it up just...is odd.

Totally backpedaling. My certainty had to do with odds and the vote pattern. And just because I feel confident about it doesn't make me correct. Your defense was disproportionate to this suggestion. If I had gone and ISO'd you and put up some sort of argument, that would have been reasonable. Additionally, my point is that I had already chosen Merans as the better bet, so why were you getting up in arms against me when, as I said, Glass is the one who suggested you? Again, I said you are likely scum. Stop freaking out, or I will call you scum.

Merans is proposing a perfectly reasonable thing. It is not outside the realm of possibility given the events, and it is suicidal as scum, as Glass pointed out. Your response and denial only make you look worse. The thing is, you aren't the mod, so you have no fucking clue what he has designed as far as power distribution and balance. Make your claim as Merans has asked, or be anti-town and get lynched.

OK. I am red. I also wasn't given a power close to what Meransiel describes. That leaves two obvious options.

Not even close to what he describes? How powerful do you think his power is? I have an idea, and it's not game-breaking powerful. It is simply useful if employed correctly. (If I even understand his hints correctly.) Additionally, while we don't all need to go claiming, there is reasonably three other people with powers, so why were you so afraid to come out? So scum know two people with powers. If you die, the other red will just become stronger, and theoretically, scum still don't know that person. The beauty of this game is town kills are not as detrimental. We still lose numbers, but there is a proportional gain.

It is obvious from my posts that I have no day ability and I don't think anybody else does either.

The reason I didn't want to claim is because I didn't want to hand over information my power to fakeclaiming scum. Meransiel, claim or no claim, was confirmed scum in my mind. The less I told him about my color, I thought, the better.
