So BASICALLY if Vi is still alive tommorrow then Vi tries to duel someone in-thread to prove that Vi can't- if it's really a silent scum daykill then chances are pretty high that Vi just said its role can't duel for balance purposes.

I must ask: Any particular reason why you refer to me/us as Reaper Charlie in the first sentence, but Drunken Unicorn in the last? There seems to be absolutely no pro-town benefit to doing that.

If you're referring to me, I don't think you had no prior suspicion of Max, and I don't know if anyone did, that Vi bit you just quoted notwithstanding; I do think you dueled without town consent on an unclaimed target without requesting a claim. Whether you had made voiced suspicion of him in the past is beside the point.

I mean gosh, if I were to claim intent to duel Gamma, that wouldn't absolve me of responsibility for dueling him, let alone pre-claim.

P-edit: Re: Gamma. I really doubt she can be duelled. Checking whether Vi can duel was null cost; I'm surprised we didn't test it immediately. She's careful enough to plan around that. She's probably duel-immune. Liu Bei makes sense because he repeatedly shirks away from conflict over and over again in DW flavor; he even refuses to take over Shu, and his generals have to arrange to have it conquered for his benefit.

That said, a test can't hurt.

I'll admit I DID have my doubts a little because Cao Pi being one-shot duel immune whereas Cao Cao is totally duel-immune does make a certain kind of sense, but it's impossible that her ability works as described given the kind of conditionals SX allows.

I was pretty sure that one of you was Xiahou Dun earlier s/p his role as a duelist in DW7 flavor; I think I alluded to this in spec in Vi prior to the claims. Wasn't sure which, though.

P-edit 2: SX said earlier that if a duelist dies by other means, "all effects" of the duel will be carried out. I inferred before that that meant the day would end and D)s would be activated, but it was just an inference.

Okay yeah found Spy's earlier post. Here's the thing.
If daykilling scum just wait for someone to duel and kill them every day.
Then they win. That's it. If someone duels one of them they kill the other and win the duel, the day ends, repeat. They could even start the duels themselves and there wouldn't be anything anyone could do about it except the other scum shooting them at night.
I GUESS Spy could have thought of that and put in a "no killing someone who's dueling a member of your faction" or "no killing someone who's in a duel" but it seems a lot less likely than RedCoyote just being a weird role and there only being one scumteam with Vi as town.

We have four flipped non-blue. One red, one green, one yellow, one black. The yellow and black are clearly third-party. The other two (red and green) appear to be scum groups. Wide consensus is that there are only 3 per scum team, and 2 third-parties. This fits perfectly well with THIS POST:

Alright, so here's the secret stuff I was talking about.

One of my passive abilities, called "intelligence," confirms that there are three anti-town factions in the game.

In other words, we're (almost certainly) dealing with two scumteams and a serial killer. I initially planned to hold on to this information in an attempt to catch someone in a lie (e.g., the serial killer fakeclaiming vig, or something). However, RedCoyote's flip negates that potential benefit and it's likely there will be two people dead tonight anyway, so I see no reason not to claim now.

As a side note, this information is why I was so adamant about trusting obvtownies to duel scum. It's multiscum, so even if we accidentally label scum town, they still have an incentive to honestly hunt and nail the other team in order to look obvtown.

Here's how we can use this information to our advantage: Scum already know that this is multiscum from the size of their teams. With 20 players I would guess 3 person scumteams ... possibly 4, but that's unlikely. 3/17 or 3/1/16 is unheard of - thus scum are automatically going to know the setup is 3/3/14 or 3/3/1/13. Thus, what we are looking for is people who already seem certain that it's multiscum. It's not a slam-dunk tell, of course, but I think it's definitely something.

Nobody did what I asked. And now that I can do it, I'm going to.

So we know that Amrun, while scummy, was not "anti-town" by SpyreX's definition, because we know that AGM wasn't lying. Ergo, we have no more third-parties (or at least, anti-town ones). Having 4 per scum team and 2 third parties would mean 10 town and 10 non-town, and I don't think SpyreX would do that. Mod-WIFOM is a surprisingly handy tool, as well as being a mod and game reviewer yourself. AGM is one as well as I, and he came to the same conclusion that I did: Two three-man scum factions, vice being four-man. Ergo, we have killers on the loose and they are all likely aligned together.

The only caveat I can see to this is if the Lyncher is not actually considered an anti-town faction: i.e. what if their lynch target was scum? This would throw a wrench in things. And if Vi really IS a day-SK, then SpyreX would have either lied to AGM, OR SpyreX didn't consider the Lyncher to be strictly anti-town. Still, factoring this in is negligible.

Vi wanted town-cred for killing off RedCoyote. I honestly don't think Vi would kill off RedCoyote if they were scum together. Ergo, I can scratch Vi off being redscum. So according to the above, Vi is either greenscum or is third-party. I don't think playing outguess the mod at this point would be productive, therefore I'm going to put Vi down as greenscum (because she IS scum, no two ways about it. More on this later).

And yeah I went from fairly sure that Ludi was scum from his connections and to flipped scum Bastard/T-bone (as well as thinking that if I didn't kill him Vi would anyway so I might as well do it make sure he doesn't waste a lynch) to absolutely sure when he refused to claim repeatedly and did exactly what he was saying I was scummy for doing. I was wrong but that's how I felt about the situation.
